KARA hold successful fan meeting in Tokyo, Japan KARA held two successful fan meetings in Tokyo, Japan on the 1st of June, with over 15,000 fans present at the event. KARA had been receiving quite a lot of attention with their newest project, the “KARA Project”, in which DSP Media is broadcasting an trainee survival program, so as to add a new member to KARA. However, many fans protested against this move, and wished to see KARA promote as a 3 member group, however DSP Media continued on with the KARA Project, thus upsetting many fans and even leading them to boycotting activities. At the Japanese fan meeting, Gyuri expressed that she was so happy to see their Japanese fans, and also explained that they had a lot of things to tell them, but felt that it was best to tell them face to face. She also added that she would like to request that the Japanese fans trusted KARA and their decisions, as they are trying their best not to disappoint or hurt their fans, just as she had requested their Korean fans at their first fan meeting as a 3 member group on the 24th of May. During the fan meeting, fans had the opportunity to come up on stage and interact with the members of KARA directly, in which they played many fans such as “Bingo” and others. Next, each of the members performed a solo stage for their fans, in which Seungyeon performed an OST track, “Should I Love Alone” for her drama “Her Lovely Heels”, Gyuri performed the theme song for the anime “Detective Conan”, titled “Because You Are Here”, and Hara performed her OST for “Galileo 2”, titled “Magic of Love”. KARA ended their fan meeting with a performance of their hit song “Step”, and thanked their fans for attending the fan meeting and being supportive. Meanwhile, KARA have already signed with Universal Sigma and are planning to comeback in South Korea some time in August this year, as well as release a new album in Japan in the later half of the year. ALL THANKS TO Mr. steprider I'll piece together an account of the fan meeting from Kamilias who attended and sent the updates via twitter. The fan meeting started with talk by Gyuri, Seunyeon and Hara. Fans said they apologised for making fans unhappy, and thanked the fans for staying with them since the beginning, and they hope the fans will smile... fans said they started crying. From Gyuline @hyunhee0692 translating from @UncleCMBang Gyuri: I think I hurt so many good and precious people I'm sorry for that. It hurts to see our people hurting. But I want to show a good look. It'll be good to see us happily and actually my heart wants to talk about the new members broadcast but we can't talk about it and please believe the three of us. Hoping for all and hope there will be no more disappointment, and I think the best way is believe in us and wait the different side of us. Seungyeon: Have been separated...it hurts...there is no more the one who of course always be by my side. I am sorry for hard times..thank you for being together...and the last one I hope everyone smile. Sorry for showing off our tears... After that, KARA left the stage, and MC took over for some talk. KARA 3 returned to talk about their recent activities. Seungyeon shared that she's practising pilates. And talked about her role in the drama Woman, Comics, Shoes. Hara talked about her photoshoot in Bali. Gyuri shared her pictures in Sao Paulo, her meeting with fans, and her practising dancing there with fans. She also shared pics of her spending her birthday with her family. They then brought out a birthday cake for Gyuri. They sang a birthday song. According to fans, Hara said happy birthday to her forever yeoshin Gyul leader unnie, and that she'll cook delicious things for her to eat. Gyuri said take her to Hawaii then... End of first part. Second part, Seungyeon sang a solo, the OST of Woman, Comics, Shoes. Gyuri also sang a solo, but the fan didn't know what song that was... same for Hara. (Heard the song on Karaboard, Gyuri sang Adele's Rolling in the Deep, yes, an English song. Can't recognise Hara's Korean song, it's 사랑해 - Saranghae - I love you.) All three of them then sang Step. Hara sang Nicole's rap, Gyuri sang Jiyoung's part. And then they sang Love Letter from KARA Animation. Gyuri sang Nicole's rap. Fans said Hara and Seungyeon teased Gyuri when she was singing the rap. Third part, KARA gave out biscuits to fans. KARA then gave their last talk. Gyuri: I don't know and wonder how to express my gratitude. We have so many complex and tension but seeing you all I feel great. Now please waiting for the next one... Seungyeon: I was worried. There are so many things I am concerned. So please smile (cry) Hara: Thank you for being with us today. Actually we have to sing one by one, listening to story one by one and also our concerns. To show our gratitude to all of you who make this place beautiful we will try to not disappoint you and we will show you the better side of us. Not sure who said this: It's not a happy tears so we will not cry anymore. I dont know how to express our gratitude by words. We'll work harder! Please looking forward for us! Love you!
