  1. I think I still managed to like the show (being a history nut), while being VERY patient waiting for Hammie. I can always switch to watching Barefoot Friends (UEE), IU as Lee Soon Shin and even hoping for a fleeting glimpse of my bias from other bands in Jang Ok Jung or otherwise. And of course, re-listening to old KARA tracks when bored
  2. the PD ought to be watching the Guilty MV. meanwhile I've enough comebacks to follow on the Big 4 music shows as well as wait for the Dream Concert on TV
  3. so my slow progress brings me to Episode 3. at least got another girlband member to spazz before our main star comes in. Princess MyeongAn and Yoo Ah In's character giving a hug. Dal Shabet's Ahyoung and KARA's Seungyeon FTW
  4. Putting what's showing in KBSWorld into perspective.. SBS Mon/Tue: So now episode 2 is explaining the childhood story of our main lead Kim Tae Hee and others. For us fans who have to wait for out Hammie to shine, it's an opportunity to multitask in front of the TV or start checking out the streaming sites KBS Mon/Tue: Queen of Office got intermittent appearances of 2AM Jo Kwon, but the focus is on Oh Ji-Ho
  5. I am now watching HAMtastic Seungyeon on a recording of Episode 1 on SBS One which just aired today in Singapore complete with chinese subtitles (our Asian friends should know) off Singapore's Starhub HubStation box (can record shows) so I'm now watching it while studying for university exams and watching the ever-so-hamtastic Guilty MV (and get my KARA love back on track.) Hamster-like looks are more amplified when hair gets tied back in traditional Korean style. But dun have the evil glint just yet
  6. LOL! Seungyeon is like a hoobae admiring Sunye the sunbae. perhaps Seungyeon, can follow the footsteps of Sunye and conquer the world as well?
  7. Seungyeon: when sporting a bob haircut (in recent times) she's almost too cute not to be spotted first Gyuri: the Goddess have rather well defined features Hara: her name is the first to be spotted (rmb KARA?). she looks more 'integrated' than stand-out Nicole: spottable after identifying who's the first 3 Jiyoung: melts into the background
  8. Gyuri: Julie (homonym) Seungyeon: Cherie (she's my fave KARA member) Nicole: still Nicole (any change would be sacrilege) Hara: Kara (perfectly 'legal' to tweak her name a bit to represent the group) Jiyoung: Jean (partial homonym) Sunghee: Hillary (partial homonym)
  9. update: my sister, who knows 'next to nothing' about KARA sat through a recent episode of Star Golden Bell that features all the KARA girls (she watched the whole show with me), and she watches (half amazed, half shocked) at virtually every Lupin perf on Music Bank which I watched on TV.. rather remarkable transformation perhaps I can then start spreading the word around of this sweet melodix
  10. halfway between the cutesy and rather unassuming TaeYeon (SNSD) and the assertive Eunjeong (T-ara). More like a calm corporate high-flier than a 'Goddess'
  11. if that were a competition, KARA would have won hands down right away since SBS and Samsung decided to pair a snippet of their 'We're With You' song with footage of crazy fans and luminaries like Park Ji Sung and Lee Chung Yong for a TV ad that doubles as a teaser for the new single but since I adore both T-ara and KARA, this is definitely no contest; it's gonna be magic
  12. haha cheerleaders can be interesting, but Afterschool makes their marching band look very cool, and SNSD's Oh! American cheerleader look is legendary enough so perhaps, they can take a leaf from the rabid Korean fans instead and make a uniquely Korean/Red Devil look, and it must be soccer inspired and I so love the Samsung/SBS trailer/teaser that was released...the one that features my favorite Korean soccer players while giving a better feel of how the song sounds like
  13. tea with 4 lucky fans and the KARA girls when they (eventually) come to Singapore for a concert
  14. lovely...and considering that the South Korean NT is my fave Asian football National Team, this song is perfect for them and for KARA for this happy season go go KARA!!
  15. as a Singaporean i'll second that.. and hopefully, if I do go to Korea in the near future, I'll try to score a look at them as well (at least in one of the 3 music shows) just perplexed why Thailand always gets the juicy 'carrots' where our fave Kpop groups are concerned...
  16. All things do eventually come into an end, so when Phase 1 of KARA ends (an as yet indeterminate date), Phase 2 of KARA will then kick off..with 5 career women [the aforementioned KARA Group is fictional. Any semblance to certain companies, shows, etc are coincidental] Gyuri the Entertainer-Mentor: With a job where she can communicate with people, she can eventually be Group Chair-woman of KARA Group, and mentor and manage up-and-coming talent, just as she has taken care of the other 4 so far. She probably is the most business savvy of the 5 as well Seungyeon the Translator: Maybe, not just a translator, but someone who can help cross past the language barrier and export K Pop all around the world, and also take care of KARA Group's overseas businesses (still more of behind the scenes where the entertainment industry is concerned) Nicole the Restauranteur: with KARA Bakery as a foundation, It'd be sweet perfume of bread and cake instead of sweet melody when she eventually expands the KARA Bakery chain all over Korea (and maybe the world). And of course, to tie in with the future KARA Group's ethos, she can personally manage a concept flagship KARA Bakery cafe in Seoul decorated with vintage KARA memorabilla Hara the Actress: A famous one in fact. Will work in tandem with Gyuri and Jiyoung to mentor actors. KARA Entertainment can be a future company to manage future actors and actresses Jiyoung the Manager: Proud owner of a company called KARA Entertainment (or JYK Entertainment) to nurture future stars like them (and perhaps even discover the next KARA?)
  17. 'worst' is only a word reserved for the negligible pockets of 'anti-fans' to use (and which we'll not delve into). But so far there isn't any off-form performances...(or it's because as an international fan, most of their performances on TV are rather solid). the Seungyeon trip incident is only a small blemish on an otherwise fine performance
  18. pronounciation and meaning doesn't really matter. after all, being non-native speakers of Greek they probably mispronounced it and misinterpreted the word but the fans are still lapping it up because they're still good! And of course HARA will always be the best embodiment of KARA (literally)
  19. Seungyeon, with a trip to a Crown Bakery branch top of the agenda for coffee and cake (alternative would be Gyuri)
  20. genesis stage: as a SONE, SNSD impressed me with Oh! when I first really started listening to Kpop intermediate stage: as a KARAholic, KARA confirmed that I'm really in love with Kpop when I was impressed with Lupin advanced stage: as a Tiara, T-ARA "made me crazy" about Kpop I will always put all 3 in equal status in my heart
  21. perhaps some business decisions that are very murky? don't forget, KARA started their own bakery with the help of Crown Bakery and while they do have an advertising deal on one hand, perhaps MNET and Crown didnt agree on a few sticking points.. note that on all 4 channels (the FTA trinity of KBS,MBC,SBS and the music channel MNET) they routinely blur out certain commercial logos to prevent illusions of product placement (as many artistes have certain exclusive deals with certain sponsors) haha I havent watched Ep 7 and 8 yet. the youtube videos arent subbed.. I think Nicole might have a bigger role in the sequel (if there is)
  22. Lupin. That's as straightforward an answer I can give. And with good reason: they just scored a Music Bank hattrick
  23. my current ranking 1: Mister 2: Wanna 3: Honey 4: Lupin 5: Pretty Girl
  24. I'll go for Seungyeon. cute and erm...sunny!?
