  1. So they are just finishing up existing schedules? What about future schedules? During the lawsuit DBSK still had to do their scheduled events in Japan so they wouldn't get sued....but Jiyoung's dad's twit gives me hope.
  2. ^ I don't want to quote a person's comment without his/her permission, but if you guys go to the latest allkpop article, check out Flibbertigibbet's comment's regarding a 3rd party. I've seen this person posting around allkpop before and he/she seems to know what's going on in the Korean music industry. I
  3. *IF* the three girls' contracts are shorten, I don't see DSP doing the same thing for Gyuri and Hara since they aren't part of the lawsuit. I bet DSP is going to play it smart and leave Gyuri's and Hara's contract as it is. They don't know for sure Nicole/Seungyeon/Jiyoung are going to extend their contracts after 2012 so at least DSP can keep 2/5 members for a couple more years. And about the resignation of the CEO's wife. I don't know what to say since I do believe after she took over, Kara's popularity has increase significantly.
  4. First of all, unless they recorded the conversation with Nicole's mom, I am not going to believe anything the news reporter said. You can easily manipulate answers from a phone interview.
  5. Does it even matter which fanclub you guys think is "better" or "mature". Everyone is going to be bias either way. What matter now is how Kamilia supports the girls. If Seungyeon does come back to DSPE, I have a feeling Jiyoung will soon follow. I'm most worried about Nicole since her mom spoke against the company right from the start. What sucks through all of this is that even if the girls ALL come back to DSPE, their reputations have taken a blow. Does anyone know what the general consensus of K-Kamilias? Before when it was 4 vs. 1, a lot of international Kamilias wanted Gyuri to join the other 4 in the lawsuit, but now it's been the opposite ever since Hara came back.
  6. Damn the girls are still going strong. <3 I'm pleasantly surprise! V
  7. The girls aren't going to be on M!Countdown today. Btw, this week's sales will go to NEXT week's score on Music Bank. This week is the end of the year special so they're going to perform "Lupin" and "Jumping"!!
  8. Woww the girls proved me wrong. Congratulations girls!! Even though their album sales and digital sales are low, having a high broadcast scores means their songs is popular enough to be playing on television and on radio, etc.! And yes a win is a win!
  9. M!Countdown is whatever. I expected T-ara to win simply because they're from M.net.. BES will definitely have a high score for album sales and digital sales. The only way I see Kara winning is owning them in the broadcasts score.
  10. ^ Kara is definitely not going to win on Music Bank. Their digital sales & albums sales are way too low. I'm predicting Brown Eyed Soul or Baek Jiyoung to win. Maybe SNSD depending on their broadcasting score. I think they have a chance on winning on Inkigayo though. It's hard to really guess who's going to win because the winners tend to be random sometimes. Remember when the girls won for "Wanna"? We were all super surprised.
  11. Still..I don't see why K-Kamilias should make the girls' suffer because of DSPE. They should support the girls no matter what. :x And is their promotions really going to last 3 weeks? I thought they would at least promote until the end of the year. Urgh I don't think Kara will be in the running for next week's Music Bank. Probably top 4 at the very least. There is only 2 more days left for album sales and at this rate...yeah. Even 2PM sold more albums than them yesterday.. http://hanteo.com/ Personally I thought it was a smart idea for their album later because the girls could have won on their comeback stage.
  12. Album sales are only worth 10%. Shinee and Super Junior don't tend to sell well digitally which is worth 60% of the scores. They can't rely on their album sales for so long because like pig3head said, album sales tend to slow down after the third week. Btw, Super Junior didn't disappear from the charts - they just went down after their 3rd win. Click on the spoiler to see their scores for "Bonamana". Hopefully that clears up the confusion. Wait I don't understand why it's DSP's fault??
  13. 2NE1 won 4 weeks in a row on Inkigayo with "Can't Nobody" and "Go Away". They had 3 songs on Take 7 so the triple crown rule only applies to one song. Anyways, looks like it's actually going to be Huh Gak vs. SNSD this week on Music Bank. Damn I totally underestimated his digital sales. I don't even know who's going to be the top two contenders for next week anymore. As much as I want them to perform 3 songs, it's definitely not a good idea. 2NE1/YGE got so much crap for it and the girls don't need unnecessary drama. :x I'll be satisfied if they perform "Burn" on Inkigayo and "Love Is" on Music Core. Btw, why aren't the girls going to be on Music Bank again?
  14. ^ The only hairstyle I don't like is Seungyeon's. Her bangs look weird and it makes her look way younger. :x 2NE1 won 3 K-charts in a row with 2 different songs - "Can't Nobody" and "Go Away". BEAST won with their massive album sales. Really? May I ask where you got your info from? The only thing I remember changing recently on Music Bank is how the album sales were calculated (15% --> 10%). There was this controversy when 2PM won instead of f(x).
  15. I know it can be pretty confusing, haha. You can read how Music Bank scores are calculated here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_Bank_%28TV_series%29 Wait when did Music Bank start implementing a limit on how many wins an artist can have? Actually like goddessfollower said, Huh Gak is going to release a physical album this week. His songs are already released digitally. Music Bank is one week late as well. For example, this week's sales from (11/15 - 11/21) will count for next week on Music Bank (11/26). They can also win on their comeback stage - it has happened to other artists before. It all depends on when they release their album so they can receive points for it. "Jumping" and the rest of the songs on their album were released digitally last week. That's the reason why I said DSP was smart in releasing their physical album early this week instead because they have a higher chance of beating SNSD next week. Looks like I was wrong. I believe SNSD and BEAST both have fan-signings this week so that's why their album sales are high. Once Kara has a fan-signing, their sales will start to pick up as well.
  16. For K-chart this week, it's going to be between Beast vs. SNSD. I believe Kara's score this week will only have digital points and broadcast points so they'll probably be somewhere in the top 10. Next week will definitely be interesting because most likely it will be Kara vs. SNSD. It's going to be Kara's album sales that will give them the win over SNSD. SNSD already sold over 80k albums so you won't see them selling over 2k a day anymore. While BEAST is selling more albums than SNSD, their digital sales aren't that great so I don't see them as competition unless they sell A LOT more album sales than Kara. That's how they managed to get a win over 2NE1 on Music Bank. M!Countdown is canceled for the next 3 weeks so no awards there. SNSD is probably going to get their triple crown on Inkigayo this week so they can't win anymore. It's probably going to be 2AM vs. Kara vs. Beast next week. Huh Gak (Superstar K2 winner) is currently blowing the competition away with his digital sales and if he releases a physical album, he's definitely going to pick up a few awards (that is if music shows allow him to perform since Superstar K2 is an MNET show).
  17. Looks like the album was released yesterday in Korea (11/15). Definitely a smart move by DSP to release it at the beginning of the week.
  18. ^ I don't think they'll achieve 100k with 'Mister', but I can see it definitely happening for 'Jumping'!
  19. ^ I don't think SNSD will get automatic top 3 with only their digital sales. I think next week would be 2AM vs. Kara vs. T-ara. 2AM released their song + album earlier than SNSD. I think a win on Music Bank would be easier to achieve than Inkigayo actually. With regards to Music Bank, I totally forgot about 2AM. I think it all depends if 2AM gets a 0 on broadcast times & viewers' voting. This week, 2AM has the most album sales + placed high on digital charts so they'll definitely beat Kara in those categories. Inkigayo, I'm pretty sure the girls will win it again this Sunday, but for next week, I have a feeling they might give it to T-ara?
  20. SNSD won't win next week because they didn't release their album yet so they'll have no album scores for this upcoming Music Bank....which means Kara is probably going to get their first ever triple crown! At first I though T-ara was going to win today, but Kara has such a huge advantage with viewer's voting.
  21. Well, SNSD's song has been out for 6-7 weeks now. You can just look at the digital sales from last week's Music Bank and SNSD actually did better than Kara. I*think* it's due to the mobile sales. Even in the predicted Music Bank scores for this week's, the gap for the digital sales between Kara and SNSD isn't that large compared to T-ara's. I think this is the chart for mobile sales/ring tones. (November 30th - March 7th) 16. (New) T-ara: I Go Crazy Because of You 110022 18. (New) Kara: Lupin 84732 T-ara's song is selling more despite it coming out later than Lupin. Anyways, I'm sure the girls could win on M!Countdown and Inkigayo this week. There are still other factors besides album sales and digital sales. Triple crown might be a stretch, but I would be happy with any win for the girls.
  22. Well, T-ara knocked off Kara in most of the charts as of right now..
  23. But the thing is, they do need the sales to constantly be promoted by DSP. Just look at AST1, they released "Dynamite" recently and where the heck are they now? I don't think DSP would risk doing something different if the cute concept is working for them. @chopsuey I completely agree. They would receiving a lot of criticism if they reverted back to their "Break It" days and would draw in a lot of comparisons to 2NE1. And yup, there are different cute concepts out there. I know you guys are probably sick of the girls being compared to Wonder Girls and SNSD, but just look at the two groups. Every concept they had was cute, but they put a little twist in it that worked for them. Kara just needs to find something that suits them.
  24. Actually, the news article was wrong. SNSD was against Jewelry - not Kara. credit: soshified
