  1. lol even when she is yelling and looking irritated you still want to just pat her on the head. Looks so cute. hah.
  2. I'd like to see her as a fixed member somewhere, but I'm not sure if that will happen because of Kara's Japanese activities. We Got Married could work because they can work their schedule around Gyuri's. I really think she would do good as an MC on a show like say Win Win (next time they revamp MC's). Since she has experience from hosting the radio show.
  3. If the difference between fan and lover is that a lover has romantic feelings or crushes on a member that makes me a fan. Hara is my bias for entertainment purposes, but I'd love to see it revealed that she's in a relationship and dating someone even though I'm a guy. I feel that way about all the other groups that I'm a fan of and kpop artists in general though. I want them to be able to experience some tiny bits of normalcy and happiness and be able to date and have a relationship. If I wasn't able to I know I'd be extremely depressed lol.
  4. sigh. I too hope she can be there to film the last episode because with Nicole's personality she endears herself to people very quickly and her fellow cast mates seem to like her a lot. Her and IU got to be friends through the show and I've missed seeing Nicole the past few episodes she's not been on while Kara was in Japan and then the lawsuits which stopped Korean activity. August '10 through Dec '10 was a great period. Hara on IY Friday's and Nicole on Heroes Sundays... Now both shows are gone
  5. I think the post I made about City Hunter disappeared so maybe some server issues? I'm thrilled to get a chance to see her on a weekly drama. I think having a small role is actually a good thing she she is a rookie when it comes to acting. It will be interesting to see if she has any kind of 'love-line' in the show. I saw that she was playing a college-aged student who failed her entrance exams the first time so she's playing pretty much her own age and not a younger high school character. I think Lee Min Ho's character works inside the Korean Blue House for the President as some kind of security expert/agent so Hara's character being the President's daughter may have a crush on him in the show or something. I'm kinda hoping for some interaction between her and Lee Kwang Soo just because I find him hilarious on Running Man and they're not far apart in age since he's 4 years older.
  6. Whoo to the news about a drama. I said when watching her on Urakara that she should get a role in a drama because she was really good and now it's going to happen. I don't think it'll be a huge part, but I think that's a good thing. I think it's better when an idol debuts in acting and doesn't take the lead role.
  7. Just based off appearance it was Hara then switched to Nicole because of seeing how funny a personality she had on SGB and then back to Hara when I got to see more of Hara's personality on IY
  8. That's a misconception people have about AKP that they favor a certain group or company and dislike others. They have a lot of different writers posting articles and those writers have personal favorites. I know a number of the writers post in various threads about certain groups over on Soompi.com. There's no centralized 'bias' at AKP. If it looks like they're being biased against Kara because of all the articles about the controversy it's because AKP is most concerned about getting views. Some of the stories there can border on 'tabloid' type stuff in order to attract attention to the site and get people to click on it. BTW, just to respond to something else that supposed 'Kara fan' who started up the disband petition. Sorry, but no. I'm not going to give my support to that person and feel bad because they're going through hard times with these lawsuits so they started the petition. If you want them to break up YOU ARE NOT A FAN. PERIOD. End of discussion as far as I'm concerned.
  9. I find it odd that the Japan activities are continuing. Was there really absolutely nothing scheduled for Korea prior to this dispute and all the remaining schedule is Japan? Or are they more scared of Universal Japan than DSP?
  10. I get the impression he thinks Gyuri didn't try hard enough to present complaints of the rest of the group to DSP. I think he's being unfair to Gyuri because all the parents have said DSP's people in charge since the President was hospitalized and his wife took over have done a poor job of handling the needs of the group and I think they've fired a manager that the group liked.
  11. Her corner was usually the highlight of every show because of how funny it would be and watching the guests react to her or vice-versa. I think KBS only has itself to blame for SGB ratings going down because I can understand Nicole leaving or not having time, but before Nicole left(I think it was before) they got rid of Kim Jae Dong who was awesome on the show and the reason they fired him is because he supported a different political party than what the KBS executives did.
  12. There's never any doubt in my mind that artists are short-changed in Korea mainly because of how many 'layers' the company puts over the artists involved. I doubt the claims made by Landmark are completely accurate though because the money mentioned is ridiculously low and I believe is just talking about a specific payment for a certain promotion or CF. I've been pretty bummed out since I saw the lawsuit news because it looked like they were trying to resolve things privately and then it went back out into the public... Which just hurts the girls image IMO. I feel like I'm on a plane that had the engine die out so it went in for a crash landing...sliding to a stop on the edge of the cliff and being relieved to be alive... and then the edge of the cliff broke off and the plane fell down.
  13. I remember seeing a behind the scenes type thing before on youtube, but I have no idea how to find it. Don't know if anyone else remembers it. There was also one of the KBS programs which followed the G7 to the KBS Entertainment Awards in 2009 for like 10-15min thing I think.
  14. Her sisters and Mom all look so alike. I remember thinking that when Kara appeared on the Hahamong show and Jiyoung's family made a visit while they were at a park. Good genes ultimately win out in the end I guess lol.
  15. I still think it will be Gyuri just in terms of singing ability + character. I think she has the best chance of still standing out on her own if she was solo eventually.
  16. Honestly this is one of the few variety shows with a huge cast where I can't say that I dislike anyone in the cast. I have my favorites (IU, Hong Soo Ah, Lee Jin, In Young), but I also enjoy the other members. I really like how Lee Jin and No Hong Chul interact. I'm not sure if either is seeing anyone (I know Hong Chul broke up with trot singer Jang Yoon Jung like a year ago), but they'd make a nice couple. The downside to how Heroes films is that we know Nicole missed the b-boy/b-girl taping and Heroes usually breaks one day of taping into two weeks of episodes. So if Nicole misses two tapings she won't be on the show for a month.
  17. Nicole definitely got me hooked on SGB watching her segments and then watching entire episodes. I stuck with the show after she left just because I grew to like the hosts a lot as well. I think my favorite episode was I believe the idol special when it was SHINee/Kara/SNSD/2PM and Nicole was giving easy clues to Jessica to let Jessica guess. Normally she'd actually describe something in order for the person to guess the korean letters making up the word, but for Jessica one of the words was Sun Girl in Korean so she gave the clue as "Sun Girl" "now say it in Korean" lol.
  18. I think as long as DSP continues to focus on Japan by year's end Kara will have cemented the #2 girl group position in Japan behind AKB-48. Yea there's tough competition in Japan like Perfume, Scandal (more of a girl version of FT Island), and others and of course SNSD... but SM isn't focusing on Japan with SNSD as hard as DSP is with Kara. They definitely deserve all the love they're getting from how much work they've had to put into things, hopefully their schedules will be less crazy now. As much as I like seeing them in Korea, I would almost wish they focused exclusively on Japan so they didn't have to fly back and forth so much.
  19. Hmm, well a lot of it requires you to keep in mind it's a Korean variety shows. Sure there are scripted/planned elements, but I feel the emotions from the girls are genuine as they regroup and stick close to each other when they run into each other on other shows. There's still a fair amount of randomness and spontaneous elements to a lot of Korean variety shows and I think IY was no exception, if anything it was probably more-so just from the format of it. Sometimes the things that one of the girls does may not seem that way when you view it on TV, but you have to keep in mind sometimes they will need to 're-film' something that already happened because it wasn't captured right. I think that happened on IY a lot because of filming locations and outdoor filming being harder to do than indoor filming.
  20. The Japanese girl recognized her and wanted pictures with her and then I think they asked Kahi outside if this was Kahi's part-time job (baito being one of the few japanese words I know) lol.
  21. Their interactions during the special were cute. All I know is if they got married and had kids their kid might be an olympic sprinter. Donghae is pretty athletic on Dream Team and I think he won an event in the Chuseok Athletic's Special and we all know Hara is Goosain Bolt
  22. I just finished watching the SBS Pattaya Idol special where both Hara and Seungyeon went (actually it was on their way back from taping it in Thailand when the DSP contract dispute went public) so it was taped before all that happened. Hara looked so gorgeous in the outfit she wore in the beginning. There were fanphotos of it on the photo forum, but wow...
  23. Every little step in the right direction is still positive... While the vagueness about Korean activities is a bit unsettling, at least they're getting back to Japan and resuming activities there. Hopefully they can mend fences and not have lost too much from this... Honestly, I think if anything fan interest in Japan about Kara is HIGHER than it was before the split. It put them in the news and we've seen how fast their concert sold out.
  24. Been watching episodes as subs come out and just watched episode 2... Wow that was so much better than ep 1... Of course my bias to Hara may be showing there, but I think Hara did an awesome job in the episode. She needs to get some acting offers. Although it seemed kind of strange to see Jiyoung out getting 'picked up' by guys in the episode.
  25. I'm not sure it's affected me, but in some ways it's made me a tiny bit more optimistic regarding kpop contract disputes. When news first came out I was bummed and thought "well, no more Kara... That's over" because you hardly ever see these things get resolved, but it looks like it is going to be resolved and they will all continue on forward as 5. Which is awesome. I just wish the parents had done this behind the scenes and not taken it public because I feel like it's hurt the reputation of their daughters when the parents were the ones pushing things.
