Somehow I seem to have missed the fact that STEP was released in Japan 'officially.' 2 weeks in the top 10 for a foreign language CD is pretty good I think. I guess we can add this to the 100k tally for STEP in South Korea for a total of 130k+.

So the rumors were correct after all! I'll be placing my pre-order the minute it comes out. I agree with the rest of you, the cover for version C completely blows the others away. Red and black is the absolute best color combination to ever exist. I really want it but version B has the photobook. Aaaagh if only they switched covers for then version B would be perfect. . Too bad there's only 4 new songs. Oh well at least that means I don't have to keep switching CD's when I want to switch from JCL to GGS to WM.

Well it's a fat suit. Like the ones they use in movies. There's a special garment she wears under her clothes that makes her body look fat. For the head they use a special type of plastic mold that looks like skin. There's probably a video of IU being put into her fat suit (for her role in Dream High) somewhere on the internet if you wanna know more.

Sorry for the delay but life's been really busy recently and I lost all my bookmarks when I got a new computer :/ ^^^I think this is the Chaku Uta full ranking but there's a discrepancy with this site and the chart Tokyohive posted. This one says KARA 2nd and Jay'edxJUJU 4th, while Tokyohive has Jay'edxJUJU 2nd and KARA 3rd.^^^^ 10/18 - #4 10/19 - #2 10/20 - #3 10/21 - #3 So it looks like #3 or #4 for the weekly right? Maybe around 70k sales? Such rotten luck. Other groups always get higher chart positions despite selling less.

I dunno if this has been posted somewhere already but KARA's All About Beauty got #3 on the Oricon Weekly DVD's. I haven't seen the clips myself but I think I read somewhere that it's actually mostly in Korean? If so then #3 is really good.

Just saw this on twitter. I guess it's a snippet of translation of KARA's appearance on Radio Star. With all due respect...PHEW, dodges a close one there. SM's handling of Dana and CJSH's careers are pretty much the poster child for wasted talent no? Gyuri would probably have gotten a poorly conceived debut and then left in limbo to waste away.

Ah well that's too bad. As was mentioned before many times this single has lacked in promotions. MV was released extremely late and no CF tie in and a lot less TV appearances than last time around. Then there's the matter of Winter Magic not being a dance-pop song. I guess the public just doesn't like songs without choreography and hooks. Also, this song is being released 2 months too early. I mean it's called Winter Magic after all. Oh well hopefully Winter Magic will have strong staying power like JCL and GGS did.

After all grainy wrote I think it seems the writing is on the wall and DSP will not be renewing with UMJ. As long as KARA signs with another big label I guess it's fine but I can't help but be a bit nervous about a company switch. Unlike DSP, UMJ has done a wonderful job of promoting KARA in Japan. We can't simply assume another company would be just as competent. At the end of the day it's probably a money issue and DSP will contract with whichever label offers them the most money. Hopefully it's a LOT because otherwise it wouldn't be worth it for KARA to get a little bit more money in the short term at the cost of long term success.

How difficult can it be for 2 companies to say, hey we'll upload Korean MV's on the DSP channel and you'll upload the Japanese MV's on the UMJ channel? Given UMJ's history of NOT EVER uploading KARA's japanese MV's, surely SOMEONE at DSP knew not to put up Winter Magic without contacting UMJ first right?

What the heck? DSP took down the MV for Winter Magic What nonsense. Is the communication between DSP and UMJ so poor that they can't even be on the same page about where/whether to upload a simple internet video?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaah Gorgeous gorgeous GORGEOUS! Let me set the record straight for all of you. KARA in winter clothes > KARA in summer clothes. If anybody thinks girls have to show skin to look pretty, just watch this video. I avoided this thread cuz I didn't want to tempt myself to listen to the audio only. For my first listen of a song I like to hear it along with the PV. Since I can't understand Korean or Japanese it helps give me a better idea of the meaning and mood of the music. Gotta say, I really like Winter Magic. Just a simple and sweet melody with the highlight of the song being the singing parts and not some instrumental hook. Personally I can only take so many 3 minute electro dance pop songs. WM is exactly the type of song KARA is best at.

I've always maintained that a woman fully clothed in stylish outfits would be more beautiful than simply showing skin, and I was right. I'm really bummed that Gyuri's dj role is ending. SSTP was more than just a radio show, it was a little window into Gyuri's true self. No rehearsed lines, no crafty editing and no hackneyed scenarios. Just Gyuri at her most natural and relaxed state for 2 hours. You could simply tell by the cadence of her voice how much Gyuri loved being a radio host. There was a subtle enthusiasm from her that I never saw in any of her other activities before. I believe it's because she found a medium through which she both enjoyed and naturally excelled at. Gyuri's time on the radio has come to an end, but I know she'll be back.
