It's hard for me to give appreciation as a fan. First, I hate being a fan of anything so I probably wouldn't act so much as a fan. But as one musician to another, I can certainly appreciate their heart, discipline, and sacrifice.
It's not a single song, but We're With You, Rock U, Broken Promise, Don't Be Shy, Secret World, I'll Be There, Tear Eraser, Two Of Us, Pretty Girl, Wanna, Lupin, Tasty Love, Umbrella, Rollin', Wait, and pretty soon Pandora.
Frankly, it was hearing Break It on YT. Then I thought, hmm, a Korean group singing Britney Spears style of music. Out of curiosity I checked out what else they had, and boy was I surprised and amazed.
There were two.
Sunghee for her amazing vocals that's probably the best among any girl group to have come out since 2007.
And Seungyeon. I just fell in love with her, admittedly purely for her beauty. But I am so pleased that she was the one to take up the mantle as KARA's powerhouse vocal after Sunghee left.
Well, Girls' Gen is always number one in my heart. They've helped me out of a dark place. But do I win points because KARA is a step behind, while the rest are miles away?
I'm fairly private and don't really share my interests even amongst "friends". But a few weeks back, in talking about music with one of them, we found that we were both kpop fans and we commonly love KARA. What an interesting development.
