  1. Former KARA member Kang Ji Young recently appeared on MBC’s “Section TV Entertainment Relay” to promote her new Japanese web film. The former idol left her girl group in 2014 after her contract expired to focus on her acting career and is currently living and working in Japan. “I always miss Korea,” she says. “I miss the food that my mom makes. But since I chose this road, I don’t have any regrets. No matter what country I go to, I want to uphold the reputation of Koreans and live well.” On her acting career, she says, “If it’s for a character, I can do anything. If I have to become a ballerina, I would practice hard.” On being asked whether she could film a melodrama, she answers, “I’m an adult now. I would really like to work with Hwang Jung Min. It would be really exciting.” Her new web film is about two friends (Kang Ji Young and Matsukaze Risaki) who encourage one another despite their separate struggles in Hong Kong and Japan. Kang Ji Young’s character is a Korean exchange student working to enter a prestigious film company in Hong Kong. Source: Soompi
  2. Jiyoung revealed what she would be doing if she wasn't currently pursuing acting. The former KARA member turned actress recently met with reporters to promote the online movie 'Your Sky Under Another Sky, My Sky' on December 3. She was asked what she think she'd be doing now at the age of 21 if she wasn't an actress, and she responded, "Probably what my friends are doing. I think I'd be preparing to join the workforce." Jiyoung continued, "If not, I think I'd be the kind of young person who would work hard for my dream like Enna." On what her dream was before she wanted to become a singer, she answered, "It was to be a stylist. I think my dream changes every day though." What was your guess? Source: Allkpop
  3. KARA's Goo Hara lounged in style for Banana Crazy's latest collection. The campaign theme was of an active girl with a natural charm. Banana Crazy is a brand that mostly appeals to young women in their 20s, who are still trying to find their signature style. The label has been gaining a following because of its romantic and feminine sensibility. According to the brand, "The pictorial had a lovely and witty concept that expressed the everyday life of the Banana Crazy Girl. Shoppers will find different looks that appeal to them." Hara's wardrobe included basic essentials like sporty jumpers, hounds-tooth skirts, fun print t-shirts, striped dresses and pastel pullovers. The brand gave casual combinations a twist with the help of embellished sandals or decorative patches with lips and words. The affordable items range between $85 and $112. For her photos, Hara posed in different house room sets, like a staircase and kitchen. Her props included balloons, tennis racquets, and, of course, bananas. In other news, Hara is currently a cast member of the SBS reality show Fists of Shaolin Temple, along with After School's Uee and miss A's Fei. The star's last solo pictorial was for the September issue of Marie Claire. Check our PHOTOBOX to view more pictures! Source: Kpopstarz
  4. Hara flustered the girls of 'Fists of Shaolin Temple' by accident. The girls, before falling asleep, started listening to Choi Jung Yoon's thoughts on marriage and her married life. The girls started chattering about guys, dating, and marriage, and during the conversation, Hara innocently asked announcer Oh Jung Yeon, "Unni, you aren't thinking of getting married anytime soon?" The question surprised the other girls who fell into a surprised silence, and also the announcer herself, who laughed it off and said, "Me? Already?". The other girls also giggled while Hara blinked in confusion until Choi Jung Yoon said, "She already went and came back," referring to Oh Jung Yeon's marriage and divorce. Hara, flustered, apologized immediately, and Oh Jung Yeon laughed and said, "It's okay; it's nothing." Good thing no one made that too awkward! Source: Allkpop
  5. DSP Media stated that the speculations about SoMin leaving April to join KARA are groundless. DSP stated to Newsen on November 9, "The decision (to leave) was made after long conversations with SoMin. Our contract with So Min will remain as is. As a DSP artist, So Min and the company are deliberating her future plans together." Since SoMin′s withdrawal from April was announced, some fans have been speculating that SoMin will be joining KARA and that a new member will be joining April. The agency rep addressed the rumors, saying "We have never considered such things. It′s not true at all." Meanwhile, April′s agency, DSP Media, announced SoMin′s withdrawal from the group on its official website on November 9 and that April will be restructured as a five-member group. DSP stated, "We are letting you know that the company′s artist April will be restructured as a five-member group. As of today, April′s SoMin will be leaving the group and embarking on a new begining." The agency continued, "SoMin had been thinking a lot about her path recently and after relaying these thoughts to the company, we spent plenty of time having discussions. After long deliberations between the company and SoMin, we decided to respect SoMin′s opinion and restructure the team." April made its debut this year with mini album Dreaming. Source: Mwave
