  1. When I read this, my first thought were among the same sentiments posted here- Hara seems very sexy and mature onstage and while performing, but offstage (on variety shows and interview shows) she still seems like a very young girl, especially her antics!
  2. Funny, when SNSD came out, I thought they were just a Morning Musume copycats.Only after I liked KARA then I gave SNSD a chance, now I love them so much, too!

  3. More recent J-pop I like are like ARASHI, Shakalabbits, AAA and Utada Hikaru. I really liked Morning Musume til about their 6th "Generation".

  4. As for me, I've listened to J-pop since about 1994, so most of the artitst i love are older, Nishida Hikaru, Princess Princess, Chisato Moritaka, Momoe Yamaguchi, Yumi Matsutoya, CoCo and Ribbon and ZARD. I liked SPEED, too, but I was mostly a fan of their singles and never bought any albums.

  5. I hadn't heard of Norazo or Epik High before, so I checked out some of their stuff on youtube! Very different from KARA, very rocking!

  6. So Jiyoung's cousin is a singer, too! Wow, I'm still getting used to the idea that babe Krystal (from f(x)) is Jessica (SNSD)' sister! Seems like a lot of family members are in the business!

  7. For most of the K-pop Groups Japanese releases, I order them through CD Japan. The new T-ARA CD is coming out next month, their first all-japanese version of their older songs. And as you say, they are not cheap! I paid 80.00 for the new T-ARA! But the bonus goodies are awesome

  8. Hey Palaverist~

I got most of my K-Pop releases from a dealer in Seoul through ebay's online stores. The great thing about getting it fromt he source is that a lot of the CDs still had the first pressing bonus goodies like posters and trading cards, SOOOOOO HAPPY!!!

  9. I actually prefer the Korean versions of most songs to the Japan remake ones, but the japan releases have nice bonuses on it, the T-ARA has a bonus concert DVD and 100 pg Booklet! WOW!

  10. This is a GREAT time to be getting into K-POP, as so many are now getting more success as they are all debuting in Japan. In fact, I just put in the order for the upcoming T-ARA Japan Release which comes out next month. I feel they will be super successful!

  11. What about you, what other K-Pop artists do you like? And what j-pop artist did you listen to, if I may ask?

  12. I was into Arashi and they talked about KARA on the show. At the time, KARA was not known in Japan, but actor Gekidan Hitori loved KARA and taught Arashi about them. Them when Jumping came out, I liked it , it was such a catchy song! And I said, WOW, that guy was right, they are cool!

  13. I would love to get my hands on some of KARA's official merchandise like posters, programs and keychains, but right now all I have are the actual albums (which I guess is what counts the most, eh?) 1. - The First Blooooming 2. - 1st Mini Album - Rock U 3. - 2nd Mini Album - Pretty Girl 4. - 2nd Mini Album - Honey 5. - Vol.2 - Revolution 6. - 3rd Mini Album - Lupin 7. - 4th Mini Album - Jumping 8. - Girls' Talk (Version A) 9. - STEP (Limited ) 10. - STEP (regular) 11. - Super Girl (Version A) 12. - Super Girl (Version B 13. -Super Girl (Japan Tour Edition)
  14. I think that ALL of the girls look just FANTASTIC on STEP's cover, and fo proof of this you need go no further than this fact: When i bought STEP, it was the cover with the plain yellow front with only the letters K,A,R and A on it. I paid $30.00 US. Then a week later, I saw a shop selling the first pressing of STEP with that AWESOME black cover with the girls in the cubes, and I was like, O MY GOSH, LOOK AT HOW HOT THEY LOOK ON THIS COVER, I NEED THIS COVER, I NEEEEEEEEED IT!!!!! So I ended up shelling out another $33.00 so I could have the limited edition cover!, Ah well, the limited DID come with a bonus sticker AND 5 trading cards of all of them! I was going to give the Yellow cover CD to a friend who liked K-pop, but then I realized there were different pictures in the photo booklet, so I ended up keep BOTH of them! LOLOL
  15. I find this information about our beloved Nicole being Christian so interesting, as I' ve been wondering about KARA's releigious beliefs ever since finding out SNSD's Tiffany is a devout Christian, too! Amazing!
  16. I'm glad that this post started off with what I kind of though, myself, That the latest singles have had a REAL "J-Pop" sound to them, especially "Winter Magic", and I have to say that the first time I heard Speed Up, I thought it was a PERFUME song! Hope them get back to the more cutting-edge kind of music they'd been releasing before...
  17. Wow, I do love those outfits on the cover of :Jumping" Version A, but somehow, they don;t look quite like themselves to me, for some reason! Maybe the Hair?
  18. Well, I must confess to being one of the many, MANY newcomers to the love of KARA, a fanbase that must be growing even as we speak! I'm not just new to KARA, but to pretty much K-pop in general! I mostly only listened to J-pop, and the closest I got to K-pop was when TOHOSHINKI, KARA and SNSD released J-pop songs (or at least j-pop equivalents of their k-pop classics) The first actual Korean-language I fell in lovw tih was 4Minute's I My Me Mine, but it wasn't until KARA that I fully embraced it. Now, I LOVE it!
  19. bunch of new groups like 2NE1,T-ARA, 4Minute ect. I've also already liked SNSD from their Japan versions!

  20. Hello~

Well, I've liked KARA from their single "Jumping" when it got released in Japan, since I primarily like j-pop. But only recently I I began watching their videos and variety shows, then I really began LOVING them, now I am a big fan!

I have a few friends who already liked k-pop, and now that I'm interested, have been introducing me to a whole bun...

  21. I would really love it if I could see them do some of the songs off of The First Blooooooming like Broken Promises and the Two of Us. I don't think it would be a problem if its with the new members, after all lots of groups have new members but still sing their older songs
  22. WHile I wouldn't say that there was one who always looked the best and one that always looked the worst, one thing I HAVE noticed is the they'll always give the avant- garde outfit to Nicole. Where the others will be in dresses, she'll be in parachute pants, jump suit, etc. THis is the same thing I noticed with Sooyoung in SNSD. I don't know if it's 'cause they have more "model" type body, but they always seem to get the more "daring" suit out of the group, at least it seems that way to me.
  23. Hahahaha, as soon as I read the forum topic, the first thing that ame to mind was the intro "Yeoww" to LUPIN, glad to see I wasn;t the only one , LOL! For some reason I was alwasy thinking in my head that it was Seungyeon, for some reason! DOn't know if I saw her do it live or what. YEOWW!
