  1. I can't help but laugh a little when I see pictures of them wearing the "Best F**ckin' Five" gear because it comes off very strong, but I do like it a lot. Actually, when any Korean idol wears something which has "offensive" language, it makes me smile because I wonder if they understand the meaning.

  2. I wouldn't call any Kara performance bad or the worst but there have been a couple of performances where it is obvious that they are a little off. Kara members are human and everyone has their days where they're not 100% and I definitely don't blame them for it because their schedules are so rough. But this performance of Pretty Girl was a little worrying. Seungyeon made a mistake in the choreography and seemed mad at Nicole for no reason.

  3. My favorite dance is probably Lupin. I really liked their costumes during the Lupin promotions, specifically the parts where they lifted the draping parts of their tops to cover their faces; I thought that was really neat. I also really love watching them perform Jet Coaster Love because there have been some really adorable group interactions between everyone in that particular song.

  4. I agree with what most everyone has said, I don't think any of them are so-called "faking it." Even though the K-Pop industry (or Korean entertainment industry in general) could be described as shallow or superficial, I think that many members of groups make a genuine connection to each other. They're usually living, sleeping, and eating together and face whatever obstacles together so you'd think they'd have to learn to get along because each other are all they've got.

  5. I, like many others, found Karaholic through a Google search. It's hard finding subbed variety shows with Kara in them because of copyright and all that, so when I found Karaholic, I was relieved. I appreciate that there are so many devoted and hardworking fans willing to do so much for others.

  6. If I see a nasty comment or blatantly obvious anti-fan, I always just ignore it. There are enough dedicated fans who will correct the antis or reply to them so others don't get the wrong idea. Being nasty back to them I think is pointless and just creates more drama that no one needs. Sometimes though, I'll think to myself, "Well, that's no way to live your life," but that's just the dialogue in my head; I've never replied to a hater and don't ever plan to.

  7. I definitely think you're on to something here. Have you read this article?

It touches a little bit on your theory that you've posted here. As I understand it, there are tried and true formulae that the companies have figured out over time that will net them the most money, so that's what they follow. I noticed this especially with the Japanese group Perfume; you start to notice that each individual member has a specific "look" and they often won't stray from it, probably because they are instructed not to.

I speak some Japanese as well, but I definitely prefer listening to Kara's Korean songs. I think Japanese and Korean are both interesting languages, but the flow of Korean is more forgiving in terms of rap parts in my opinion.

  8. I wasn't an immediate fan of Kara either. It wasn't until after watching different variety shows and behind the scenes stuff that they became my favorite group because of how genuine they seem. I think the fact that they've had so many struggles have made them really sincere, and it shows, in my opinion.

  9. I read that Jiyoung tweeted that she made a mistake, was it from not being able to get her coat back on properly at 1:40 or 2:22 during Pandora? At around 2:22 it looks like she may have forgotten her place, but I'm not too sure. Either way, it was a great performance; I really liked the intro and they all looked great.

  10. Nice to see another Perfume fan. I really like their sound, I think it's mostly due to the fact they have the help of Yasutaka Nakata; he's really talented. If you haven't already, search on YouTube for Perfume's performance with their own holograms, it's really neat and well-executed.
