  1. Not really into Girl's Generation (only like "Gee"), but this will be interesting to see! Considering how some of the members are good friends, stuff will definitely happen. Considering how Jaesuk told the public that he really wants to meet Kara when he filmed Family Outing, I am sure we will get to see some flailing moments from him. Who knows? Perhaps he will bug the PD from FO to invite some of the members to join the family one day! He is definitely going to be pestered by Hyori when he meets her dongsaengs! Aw man. No Hong Chul will be freaking out throughout the entire episode! I guess the others will have to be bodyguards for both girl groups or he will start doing his crazy stuff XD
  2. Even though yellow is not my color, I really like the colors used =) It's bright and extremely eye catching! It is just going to take me a few visits for me to get used to the changes to the top. By the way, I really like the idea how the banners randomly change with each visit to a new link.
  3. She looks the same, but even prettier now. Who wouldn't want a daughter who looks like her? XP
  4. I was going to reply on this thread much earlier, but I was running late for school. Anyway .. I'm so happy that they won! I started crying when I saw Gyuri and Seungyeon crying. When I see others cry, I cry, too. But this time, it's out of happiness that they achieved the number one spot. They deserved it much earlier, but in the end, the point is that they earned it with all the hard work and positive attitude. It has been the highlight of my entire day since I logged on in the morning and allkpop had a news flash about it (it's my homepage). I think it is rather "cute" that the oldest ones (Gyuri & Seungyeon) were crying the most. I guess they got emotional as they thought back about everything that has happened since their trainee days. As for Nicole, she was definitely happy. Although she didn't cry, she looked teary eyed at one point and I loved the part where she screamed "Kamilia!" (Did anyone notice how one of the fan boys was practically beaming throughout the entire award and performance?). She definitely held it together as she looked after Jiyoung to make sure she's okay =) As for Hara, she didn't get much camera time and she wasn't crying ..
  5. Kara, you guys can make it! You can definitely win the number 1 spot!! <3 It used to be the battle of the boy bands, but it's more about the battle of the girl bands now =)
  6. Crazy fans and netizens scare the hell out of me. At the same time, I pity them for being so pathetic as they pay all their attention on people they don't personally know. Or even if they do know each other, they are just being a total stalker. I can't believe they said that about Kara! Some stupid netizen creates a rumor and although it has already been cleared that it was false, they still believe it's true. What do they want? A time machine to go back in time to make sure that Hara was on vacation with her friends? Then again, I wouldn't put it past them to come back to the present and admit that they are wrong. ASDFHJKL; As for the whole incident about Taeyeon, that's freaky. Like LSM admits, most of SNSD fans are older men and that they are targeting more towards that age group. Imagine all those old men talking about her undergarments make me feel like protecting her, despite the fact that I am not into the group. It's even worse when it can be an old man who's your grandfather or father .. Okay, I won't say anything because it will only be more disturbing to think too much about this!
  7. I hope they receive the number 1 spot! They deserve it and Kara have a lot of talents. I am glad that people are starting to take notice of them though. They have been underestimated before, and it is really due to the fact that DSP does not promote their artists as much as other companies (ahem* like throwing them onto every show that airs). Like I wrote on Seungyeon's picture, "2009 is Kara's year!".
  8. I miss the old Kara when I watch their performances (especially the live ones). Although I recently started paying attention to the group back then, I already miss Sunghee. I remember hearing a lot about her, but I didn't realize how talented she is until awhile ago. I need to start watching their old shows to know more about her ^^;
  9. Sunghee has a feminine face that can pass as a really pretty boy ^^; I think it's cool though. She doesn't have to try hard to be cool or anything!
  10. I can understand why fans might misinterpret that something is going on between Sunghee and Seungyeon since the two of them are not writing to each other. But I am sure they are getting a long fine, and from what I see on Cyworld, Seungyeon doesn't really write back to anyone. Who knows? Seungyeon is probably more of a face-to-face person, or the type who rather talk to people on the phone. So if that's the case, she probably thinks it unnecessarily to keep on writing back and forth with people she can easily keep in contact with. I think Seungyeon actually uses Cyworld a lot. She always have new pictures posted on her page .. almost everyday. As for responding back to people, I haven't seen that much. So she probably goes online just to read messages from fans and those she knows, as well as to upload pictures or something ^^;
  11. That's very cute! It seems like a story where Sunghee wants to take a picture with her, so they did. But then her sister wanted to stop, and Sunghee was like, "did you say what I thought you said?!" as her sister lowers her head =D I wish my siblings and I were this close!
  12. I came across the translations a few minutes ago. You can merge the instructions if you want. Items used: Benefit blush in throb Body Shop ? White eyeshadow Shu Uemura palette Bobbi Brown Eyeliner in Black Ink * Use the same or similar items for similar results. 1. To get the light blue shade, mix a bright blue shade (from Shu uemura palette, I assume) with white eyeshadow. Apply it in the dotted area 2. Apply a sky blue shade in the area shown by dotted area, and blend upwards shown by arrows (Please note not to over apply too much, or it may look a bit clownish. X3 Do everything according to your crease!!) 3. Apply some pink eyeshadow on the bottom, perhaps a bit lavender tone. Please make sure not to have too much plummy tone, can make you look bloodshot. Do not over apply over your aegyo sal/eye bag area. Just a little under can go a lot. 4. This is the step for the gel liner. Of course you can use any substitute liner, but KARA just has the sharp liquid/gel liner look. You can use any liner to your liking. But note: Do not make a line too thick! This is for upper eyelid only. 5. False eyelashes! These are not the most natural of lashes, but it works with the look. It is perfect. Please make sure to use a good eye glue, and wait a bit after putting glue on lashes so it will be a bit sticky and easier to put on your lids! For a more natural look, just go with mascara. 6. Apply lipstick/lip gloss. --- Credit: Namine @ soompi --- I really want to try this and even though I recently bought blue eyeshadow a few days ago, I haven't tried using it yet since I don't have the white eyeshadow T.T It turns out that my mom has a lot of these stuff, but my older sibling took most of it since she goes to so many formal outings (GRRR).
  13. If Nicole was acting, I am sure those who are close to her would have told her to stop faking it. It is not surprising that her Korean isn't that good, considering how it is not her first language ~ No matter how long you stay, you are always a bit behind in communicating in a new language. Words and its meaning is constantly changing, so trying to learn everything at once is difficult. I am sure it is not like Nicole is not trying her best to learn as many words as she can T.T Seriously, netizens should ask themselves if they know another language perfectly after studying it. Common, even in your own home country, there are always new terms and difficult ones you don't know. So if that's the case with those from their own country, then what can you expect from "foreigners?". Not being able to express yourself fully is not fun at all - I know how it feels myself!
  14. I love the relationship between the artists from DSP. They are one big, happy family =) SS501 receives a lot of love from the newer groups. I guess it's because they are really caring ~
  15. I think the dress is cool. It reminds me of what women from Troy or Greek mythologies used to wear! It just doesn't really match well with her hair put up and the pink bunny ears.
  16. The two of them do look-alike - that is, it really depends on the angles . She can pass as the Caucasian version of Gyuri until we find another one? =P
  17. Wow~ I didn't see the mistakes. They were small though. She's not one of the first ones in the industry to make small mistakes ^^
  18. I can't help but say that this is not surprising. Once you are popular, there will always be fans in Thailand. It is kind of weird since the fans of Korean entertainment is insane over there. It got to the point that there were news clips of how parents are forced to follow their children to concerts and such because their child(ren) is no longer under their control T.T Talk about bad parenting. Those from Thailand admit it themselves though. They say Korea is the trend there and any group is welcomed there O__o Anyway, it's glad to know what they became #1 in Thailand when there are so many artists who are up and running for the first spot over there! =)
  19. I have to agree with the article about how knowing more languages is an advantage and that by living in another country for a certain amount of time, a member of a group can relate better to the fans since they know more about their culture and lifestyle. Another reason why popular or not as popular bands have fans from all across the world is because there are many others out there who likes the differences. The entertainment from every country is different and when we happen to "click" with the music genre, television humor and such, it attracts people to start liking other form of medias from other countries. This is exactly one of the biggest reasons why the internet is so important to everyone since it makes people more naive and aware of the world, rather than stick to what they know about their culture and country.
  20. The video can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqRrq-fd5zs I am so tempted to sub it x.x But I don't know Korean.
  21. Like many others have said, it will be awesome if they appear on Family Outing. I am sure that at least one of the members will someday though~ Just not right now. I want to see them on YSMM, too. I am not sure if they have appeared on it already though. We Got Married will be cool, too. Haha. It will be cool if Seungyeon is on that show. I like all of them, but in terms of who handles it the best on variety shows, she's funny to watch.
  22. Nicole! Haha. Of course I will be asking her as an unni (actually, more like forcing her to hang out with me).
  23. I am currently watching (well, listening to) the video. I think it is cool when guys start singing or dancing to "Pretty Girl". Since the lyrics are directed towards females, it entertains me how males are addicted to it, too. There's no wrong of liking it of course. After all, we all sing about songs that are directed to the same genre just because the songs are good =D
  24. From my perspective, becoming a Hallyu star is not an easy process that can happen immediately. There are obviously fans from all across the world supporting a celebrity, but to be recognized by the media is another case. So even though Kara is in the process of promoting in Asian countries, to be invited/suggested to perform in other countries is an accomplishment. This means that they do have quite a large fan base in Asia and they will eventually be recognized by non-Asian countries. At this rate, I am waiting for Perez to pull off another stunt where he is flailing over Korean bands. Who knows? Wonder Girls started it, and then Girl's Generation landed themselves on the website. I think Kara are the ones next in line XD
  25. Both of them have big and pretty eyes ~ I love the picture of Hara. If she isn't a singer, she can be an ullzang (that is, if she wasn't one before her debut). As for Jiyoung, she does have a pure and innocent face that resembles a young child. She is still young, but she has this "the girl next door" appeal in the pictures.
