  1. awesome to see them in the nomination...esp gyuri....n maybe jiyoung...the 2 underrated members...when it comes to exposure n popularity...

but truthfully..i don't want to put up any hopes for them to win...cuz they're competing with some heavyweight megapopular names which would always win...no surprise..

Hara might have the biggest chance, then again....she has fierce competition from crowd faves such as yoona n iu..

iono...kara don't need these stuffs, they're awesome the way they are.....popularity based competitions are messed up...n predictable.

anyway, i'll still be cheering them on...

    thanks for sharing.

  2. Thanks for the replies and sorry for the long hiatus. well, chapter 6 is here....^^

"Youngsaeng will be busy with his photoshoot until midnight, so don't wait for him."

    "Photoshoot?"

    "His group project's album cover."

    "I see...."

Youngsaeng suddenly came out from the art studio room, causing the front desk girl to raise an eyebrow.

"Gyuri?" He was almost breathless. Gyuri could only guessed he had been holding his breath for the whole photoshoot, since his suit did looked a little too tight.

She bowed to her senior. He stretched his neck, eyes wandering as if trying to find something, or somebody.

    "You come alone, huh?"

She nodded. "Sorry to bother you, oppa. I came to get some advice. Hyunjoong oppa was out of the country. Since you're the 2nd eldest, I figured maybe I could ask you instead. But if you're busy...."

"No....I mean......" He raised his palm, signalling Gyuri to wait. She nodded. He went back in and she heard him telling them he needed a 15 minutes break from the photoshoot.

'That's all the time I'll have then.' She sighed.

Some time later they were both sitting on the staircase outside the small management office. Gyuri knew she couldn't waste any seconds.

"Oppa...I need an advice, opinion...Oppa, have you guys ever forced to do something you're totally not supposed to do on stage?"

Lines emerged on Youngsaeng's forehead as he tried to make sense of what he had just heard. He slowly shook his head.

    "Something like....?"

Gyuri coughed a bit nervously. "Something like....umm, strip down? Yeah...."

Alarmed, Youngsaeng sprung up. "SM made you girls did that?!!"

"No....no...." Gyuri pushed his shoulders softly, to make him sit back. "...but something along that line." Her voice lowered, before she picked up her determination again.

"So, I need a way to get us out of this situation. That's why I was hoping you could help with the experiences under your belt, oppa."

Gyuri let Youngsaeng drowned in his silence. She knew he was thinking hard to save them, worries were plastered all over his face. For a moment, she felt so safe and comfortable, she hadn't the chance to have that feeling eversince they moved to SM building. Lucky for her SS501 sunbaes whose contract with DSP just ended at that time. They had a way out from all the coming miseries that was SM entertainment.

"Gyuri-ya, you know DSP never treated us like that. And never would. So......I don't know how to deal with this kind of situation."

"Oh......." She didn't know what else to said.

"But this person......he should be able to help you. Take this address and ask for his help."

    -

    -

    -

Here she was, in front of the apartment's door, the one Youngsaeng directed her to go for help. She had pushed the doorbell twice. There were a lot of noises from inside the apartment, finally, the door was pulled open.

"Gyuri ssi???" He was noticeably shocked and paled out.

Gyuri bowed. "Is Eeteuk sunbae-nim at home?"

It was his turn to nod. After struggling with his speechlesness, he managed to blurt. "What are you doing here? Why do you ask for Eeteuk hyung?"

"I'm here because I want to meet him. Now can you please call him out for me? Or do I need to come in and call him out myself?" She glared at him, threateningly. True to her assumption, he was scared enough and rushed inside. A moment later, Eeteuk was at the door, he was surprised, although not as much as the person who opened the door earlier.

    "Gyuri ssi."

She bowed. "Sunbae. Sorry to disturb you here, but I need a favour from you. Youngsaeng oppa told me that you'll be able to help."

    "Oh.....well then, come in."

Gyuri raised an eyebrow. "I...don't want to disturb your other members. Plus, I think it's safer to talk this matter somewhere else.

"Okay. Just wait a sec," Eeteuk ran inside and came out with his jacket and he already wore a cap. "So, how do I look?"

"Perfect." Gyuri smiled and raised her thumb to show a 'good' sign.

    "Eunhyuk-ah, hurry up!!"

"Huh?" Gyuri wasn't too happy to hear this. Especially not after her 'rudeness' when he opened the door for her just now.

"Well, we can't just go out like this without a third person right? Or my fans who sees us might think we're dating."

"Y...yeah...." Gyuri hung her head when the mentioned Super Junior member came out with a silly excited grin.[/color]

    111ed.jpg

"Oh....you came, Jiwoon hyung! Long time no see, you looked more how should i say it....manly than before!" The two men hugged each other in their friendly hugs.

"Lol." Jiwoon looked around. "So, where are we gonna practice? Here? or inside there?" Doojoon only glared at Jiwoon from where he sat. Jiwoon wore a sunglasses, all acting like a star. Doojoon felt slightly irritated at the newly arrived guy.

"Jiwoon hyung, are you for real? How are you going to participate in the contest with us? You're an idol. What are people going to say?"

Doojoon's interest piqued at the mention idol. 'So, is that why he's acting all boss? no wonder...but how come i don't know him? hah..'

"Don't say that, Seungri, we're not stars anymore, not at the moment. and plus, we've been friends since Battle Shinhwa days. We're not that forgetful. and I heard you helped our Chris yesterday. We owed you a lot. Even if you asked me walking upside down, i might do it you know?"

"Kekeke....shall i let you do that, then? Hyung, don't be so serious, you're scaring me. I might fall for you. Eep."

"Wouldn't want that to happen, come on, let's get into the studio." Jiwoon pulled open the entrance, just as Hara appeared from inside. There's a silent moment where they both frozed at the sudden encounter. Jiwoon was the first to reverse two steps behind to let walk out first. "Sorry..." He muttered. Hara didn't moved and just stared at him for a good 15 seconds, until Seungri snapped at his zoned out friend.

"Ya...Hara-ya...what are you doing standing there? You're the one who made so much noise bout the practice. Here, Jiwoon hyung, meet our pretty, i mean..petty manager. Manager Hara, this is our replacement dancer for the competition, much-much better than that Woo ***.

Jiwoon took of his shades and bowed. "Hello, I'm Park Jiwoon, nice to meet you. Please take care of me." Suengri only laughed at the sight of Jiwoon being all formal.

"...Ha...Hara. T...Thank you for coming here to...help us."

    111ed.jpg

Nicole reached the studio for the Wedding photoshoot. Instead of going inside, she slowly sat down the small staircase in front of the studio, contemplating on the scene before she came.

"Hey! Kibum!" She angrily entered Shinee's practice room to scold him about rejecting Seohyun...and also for hitting her future stepbrother and not saying sorry to him. He was talking to the other Shinee members. They seemed excited about something.

"Hey, you came! I was about to go find you.." He immediately left his band members and went to her.

"Why..? To say you're sorry for what you've done yesterday?"

"I did nothing wrong. I was protecting you. You should be thankful someone did that for you, spineless chick."

"Protecting me?! Whoa....." The scene between her mother and Chris replayed at the back of her head, and Nicole found herself feeling very irritated at her long time friend, all of a sudden. 'But..why?'

Seeing her suddenly not saying anything, he continued with what he originally planned to tell her today.

"No need to thank me. You just need to help me to repay my favour. There's an upcoming Festival, and I want you to come as my partner."

    "Eh....b..but....why?"

"Because nobody wanted to go with me you idiot. I've asked everyone in the company, but they've all found their partner. I'm desperate now. SM doesn't like their singers come with partner from different companies, or I would've been partner with Lee Hyori, y'know..."

    'But what about Seohyun?...'

'I wanted to asked that to him, but the words didn't came out of my mouth. I was too occupied and disturbed by his lies. Why did he lie? Why was he so cruel towards Seohyunnie? Did he...did he....'

"Aren't you going to let people enter the studio?"

A snarky tone greeted her. Nicole could've guess who the voice belonged to and she wasn't wrong when she looked up and saw him looking stylish in his shades and a plain black cap, she tried to greet him with a smile but noticed he didn't return it. Feeling slightly embarrassed, Nicole looked around and realized she's blocking the entrance of the photo studio. She stood and moved to make way for him, mumbling 'sorry' and then followed behind as he entered. Their parents were already there, she saw her mother fixing his father's bowtie. They were both looking radiant and smiling happily to one another. Her heart exploded in joy at the sight. She glanced his way, and she was sure it was a slight smile she saw on his face, although he tried to maintain the disinterest look on his face and straight away went to change for the photoshoot after bowed at the parents.

When he finally came out of the changing room, all he saw was her, now all dolled up, sitting on a couch with a bored expression.

"Where have they disappeared?" He took a seat next to her, casually.

"Well, you're taking so long to get ready and they're both hungry already so they went off to get a quick bite. They're going to be here soon. You better not go into the changing room again. Just..stay here."

Chris turned to her, annoyed. He wanted to annoy her as a revenge, but decided against it and changed his attention to the magazines on the table before him. He tried to keep his attention to the magazine, but he found himself bored as hell, and so he stopped trying.

"So, why were you looking like somebody died just now?"

"Huh? When?" Nicole looked intently at him, but he's not looking back at her. Instead he was busy checking out his fingernails.

"Just now. outside the studio." He said, matter-of-factly.

"Hmm....I....was just thinking about a friend.."

"That dude from the other night? The one who came to 'rescue' you? Heh.."

'Gasp. How did he know?' Nicole was left speechless, but Chris didn't stop there.

"So, what's the problem? He proposed to you?"

"Well.......no. But he lied to a girl who wanted to go out with him on an event, saying he already got a partner, when he hasn't got one and..."

"And he ended up asking you to go with him?"

"Gasp. Oppa, how did you know?!"

"You're predictable. And don't call me oppa."

    "Why not?"

"Just cuz...I don't like to be called that way."

"Then how should I address you?"

"Is that even the problem now?! So...are you planning to go with that dude?"

"I don't know..."Nicole cupped her face in exasperation.

"If you want to go with him just go. If you don't want, he can't force you."

"Right? But what would you do in that situation?"

Chris shrugged, finally turning his face to look at the eager girl sitting beside him. "I would avoid being caught in a web of lies. If he could lie to the other girl and then asked you out, you should have known what trouble you could find yourself in. Plus, that kid's a celebrity right? I hate liars. Scandals can be really ugly..."

Nicole nodded all the while listening to him, and finally smiled brightly. "I think i know what to do now. Thank you so much for caring for me, oppa."

"I did not care for you. I just don't want you to carry that ugly expression on my Dad's wedding photoshoot. It's not a funeral. and STOP calling me oppa." His voice hardened.

Before Nicole could respond, their parents appeared, pleasantly surprised to see their children getting along peacefully.

    111ed.jpg

"So..Eeteuk sunbaenim, what do you suggest we should do. Any idea?"

Eeteuk rubbed his chin. "It's a tough situation to persuade the Director, especially in you girls' situation, so you should gather as many plans as possible and execute them all at the same time. You said the concept is extreme and cheap kinda sexy right? Find something that can make them have no choice but to change the concept.

"It'd be nice if we have a minor in the group. Then he wouldn't be able to...."

"That's a great idea!" Eunhyuk suddenly barged in the discussion of the two leaders. Seeing Gyuri's angry expression, he cowered down. "Sorry...carry on..." he muttered.

"I will have to find a really young member then."

"I have another idea, if you're up for it."

    Gyuri raised an eyebrow.

"If there is one thing our Director could not handle or is scared of, it's scandals. Get into a scandal that would make him listen to you."

"W..what kind of scandal? With who?"

"Someone from SM...........maybe Kyuhyun, if he agrees. He's the Director's favourite, and he brings the most money and fanbase"

"WHAT?! Are you crazy?" Gyuri has just opened her mouth but Eunhyuk already stood up and said the words she was supposed to say.

whew...sorry if this chapter feels disjointed or weird....it's not easy to continue from where i stopped....xD

and for the Battle member who made appearance in this chapter....

-will update his infos soon-got to sleep now-

  3. i know there's a lot of jungmin-gyuri shippers and honestly i really love Jungmin in SS501, together with Hyungjun.

however, the question is the boyband member that have same character with Gyuri.

in that case, i'll have to say FT Island's Jonghun is the closest person i could think of when i think of Gyuri's characters. heck, even their 'beauty' is of almost similar level. maybe next would be Heechul n then, Jungmin.

  4. long time didn't come here...

nice report there on the gathering...i'm sure u guys had fun..

but hope to see some photos too...how bout posting some in this thread? hehe..

other than that i'll leave it to the regular spammers/chatters...because i'm lost.

    -edit-

    oopsie....ok nevermind....saw the pics on facebook....xD

but..but...would someone kindly tell who is who in the pics....? as in which one is who.....nothing important....just for menyibuk purpose..

  5. contrary to majority's opinion i've seen about this matter, i'm glad the outfits are banned lol. talkin' bout the shorts n over-revealing stuffs....and yes, i do find the outfits a little too revealing/sexually suggestive? maybe....(true traditional Asian here, hah)

i don't really like it that kara is wearing even lesser n lesser ever since Mr. (although lupin wasn't too revealing) in the future then, what would they wear? umm...bikini?...

i'm conservative n kinda over-protective of the girls. (n let's not bring America here, lol. i don't get why ppl compare them with America when Kara is a Korean girlgroup. why expect them to follow American/or even Japan standard of clothing? lol) n i don't care if other girlgroups get to wear more revealing stuffs, because i couldn't care less about them.

but i just want them to be famous for their voices n music, not body parts.

great performers/singers can even rock the stage in rags.

and i don't see how the outfits are supposed to show anything powerful about their music, seriously.

i doubt the changes would be big though.

    anyway, thanks for sharing.

  6. @quentin: i know rite? Chris, u weird child :P

@graszny: i have a feeling, i'm going to open a thread for them when the time comes(not in the near future with my sucky internet connection), hope to see you there, then.^^

    @Nikoriiijjang: omo, i have a 3rd reader :huh: .thank you~~

ergh, i'm having a super difficult time to edit my posts here, so i hope i didn't mess up anything here.

Wooyoung left? You're kidding me, aren't you?" Hara could felt her heart beating faster. How could she not? Their upcoming show will be attended by talent agencies. She has had enough on her hands with Seungri's discipline problems. But Wooyoung, that kid would just go with the flow and not make troubles, up until today.

Doojoon bluntly shrugged. The last thing he wanted to do was adding stress on their pretty, but stick skinny manager, but even if he didn't want to drop the news to her, she will eventually know. 'Wooyoung, you b**tard...'

"Wooyoung, you B**TARD!!!" Doojoon was shocked to suddenly hear Hara yelling out his thoughts. 'Wow, we have the same thoughts? Cool.'

"How could he left at the time like this? We need him! Doojoon ssi, why didn't you stop him?"

"I...I couldn't. He said he signed a contract with an entertainment company, and he's going to debut soon."

"D...debut? soon? So....are you saying...he didn't just signed recently, he was planning to ditch you guys all along, and he....he just poof, left and disappear whenever his time to debut has come?" Hara started trembling. She couldn't believe what just happened, she didn't want to.

Doojoon wanted to comfort the girl, but he didn't know how to. Hara is a tough girl. She hated to be treated as a girl. The only reason she didn't join their bboy team was because Seungri was against it in the first place. Hara thought it wasn't fair since their team was afterall, her brainchild. She was the one who wanted to start this after noticing their same passion for dance - all four of them who were schoolmates then. He decided to support Seungri's opposition, Bboys had their own set of lifestyle that wouldn't suit Hara. Seungri may sound like he looked down on Hara because she's a girl, but Doojoon knew that was just Seungri's ways of protecting her because she's accident prone and was generally a little weak and gets sick easily. After all, those two had been best friends since their middle school days.

Just then, Seungri arrived with a huge goofy grin and waved cheerfully at them, as usual.

'Okay, here comes 2nd round of angst' Doojoon sighed to himself. 'Boy, this is going to be an uncomfortably mentally tiring day.'

"Oh....why did you look like a corpse today, Doojoon hyung? Did our Manager Hara just scolded you?"

Doojoon tried to use eye signs to warn Seungri to not mess with Hara's mood today. But Seungri didn't really get it and turned to Hara. He bent down a little to get a good look of her angry face. She looked straight at him, obviously pissed.

"Hey, don't.....be mad at me. At least I'm earlier than...*looked around* Wooyoung today. Wow, Wooyoung was late for once!!"

"Wooyoung's not late you idiot. He's not coming!! He ditched us!" Hara suddenly yelled at him and ran off.

"What? What nonsense did she just said?" He looked questioningly at Doojoon, hoping for some explanation.

"Yeah, well...this morning he met me at my place and said he's leaving us....he's debuting under JYP."

"What? JYP?! How did that loser made it to such a bigpimp company?"

Doojoon shrugged again. "Seungri, I think you should go after Hara now. Who knows what she's going to do?"

"Oh....right." Seungri slapped his forehead for forgetting about his best buddy and went off to follow Hara. "Hyung, you just wait here. I'm going to come back with Hara in less than an hour. You just wait and see." He waved, still looking unaffected by the shocking news that had hit them.

"Just like the same 'ol ever kiddy Seungri...." Doojoon shrugged yet again, and sat on the floor, in front of the studio they rented for practice.

    111ed.jpg

"Okay, let's stop the practice for now." The dance teacher clapped her hands twice, indicating her order for the girls to stop and gather around her.

"Seungyeon, why did you danced so weakly? Where's your energy? "

"I'm sorry, Seonsangnim." She bowed apologetically.

"I don't want to hear another apology. I want your energy. And you Nicole...."

"Huh?" Nicole who was lost in her thoughts looked attentively at the teacher.

"Lots of mistakes today. You're usually the most focused. Seriously, what happened to you all? Even Gyuri who's always clumsy and slow at dance performed better just now."

Gyuri was used to hear her being the weakest dancer, but she too felt curious and concerned about her team mates. Could they be thinking of Sunghee, just like herself? Every now and then, she would glance at the door, hoping Sunghee would pop in with her dazzling smile, making silly, cute expressions to get away for being late, but she hadn't arrived.

"Let's take a 10 minutes rest. Go refresh yourselves, girls."

They all dispersed, glad to be given some spaces to unwind their troubles.

Gyuri went to her bag and took out her mobile phone. There's one new message that arrived a couple of minutes ago. The sender? Sunghee.

That was enough to make her heart raced.

"Unnie, I'll be waiting for you at the rooftop. Please come when you're free."

She dashed to the exit, leaving Nicole alarmed to see the urgency. 'Oh well...Probably, Unnie wanted to use the washroom.'

Nicole went to Seungyeon, who was sitting on the floor alone at the other end of the room, leaning against the wall, looking lost in her own thoughts. Seungyeon didn't even noticed when Nicole tapped on her shoulder.

"Unnie...did something happen? You don't look too well today."

Slowly, Seungyeon turned to Nicole. She wanted so badly to hide her feelings, she wanted to remain positive and focus on their upcoming debut, but eversince last night, her emotions were getting the better of her. The break-up might seem like it did nothing to her, but it was eating her, little by little.

"Nicole...." She couldn't even heard her voice, and struggled again to speak louder....'It was...too painful. I really loved him. I shouldn't have broken up with him. First I had to endure the posibility of not seeing Sunghee again and getting disowned by my parents, but he was the one who always gave me strength...' Seungyeon wanted to let it all out to Nicole, but what came out was just, "Nothing's wrong. I'm just......tired..."

"Me too unnie..." Nicole sounded far away. Seungyeon brushed off Nicole's wet hair from all the sweating after their practice. "Are you having any problem?"

    "My mom is getting married..."

Seungyeon perked up. "Isn't that a good thing?"

"Yeah...I supposed, I like the ahjussi, he seems like a good man, but....I don't know anymore..." In Nicole's ears, she kept hearing the things she heard this morning, when she was about to left her house, only to be surprised by an unexpected visitor.

"Did your father did this to you?"

She peeked from the staircase at the front door and saw her mother, touching Chris' face

    'What's he doing here?'

"No...No! My father is a good man, he would never do this to me."

"Then, who was so evil to beat you up like this?"

Nicole held her breath. 'Kibum, you're in trouble....or maybe I am....'

    "Just.....some...street punks."

    Nicole couldn't believe her ears.

"We should report this to the police."

"No! It's....it's okay, I just wanted an assurance that you'll not leave my Dad just because of last night. I was just....having a bad day....and ended up behaving like a bratty idiot."

"You weren't behaving like an idiot. You're just hurt. I understand how it feels....but why are you insisting so much on this marriage suddenly?"

Nicole silently applauded her mother. She wanted to know just the same thing, especially after what happened later on last night after the dinner, the event she wouldn't dare to share with her mother. Well, it's not like she even dared to share what happened earlier during the day either. For some reason, it felt like she's caught in a web of secrets with him, when all her life she had never kept anything from her mother, that had always been her number 1 best friend.

    "It's...just....I'll be honest with you....."

"Everything will be fine, Nicole." Nicole's flashback of the scene before she went out today was interrupted by Seungyeon, who wanted to actually believe what she said. Shifting her mind from her own problem to avoid the heartache seemed to always worked on her. "So, when will the wedding be? Will Unnie be invited?"

Nicole smiled. "Next week. Just a small wedding, but of course Unnie will be invited! We'll have a wedding photo session tomorrow."

"Whoa, that's fast! Congratulations!" Seungyeon started to smile earnestly, finally, letting her small eyes disappear behind her smiling eyes. Nicole felt relieved to see her Unnie, finally out of her gloom. She knew, that the best way to help ease Seungyeon's unhappiness is definitely by spreading happiness. Because Seungyeon knew how to take control of her own feelings.

"So, you're going to take family wedding photo with your new Dad and Mom? I'm jealous. I can't remember when was the last time we had family photo."

"Well, not just the three of us, there's also his son."

"Oh...how old is he? A little kid?"

    "Same age as Sunghee unnie."

"You got an oppa?! That's a double fortune. I've always wanted an oppa. Well....umm, is he hot?" She grinned cheekily.

    "Unnie!"

"Well, can't I ask a general question all girls will ask when they heard of a new boy?"

"Well...he's....pretty good looking, and really tall."

"So, you met him already. Did you two got along well?"

Nicole wasn't sure for the answer for this one. "Uhh, unnie, why is Gyuri unnie taking so long? We're supposed to continue our practice. Should we go look for her?"

    111ed.jpg

"Can't you just give me some more time? You know we need you, Sunghee-ya..."

Sunghee glanced at Gyuri who had just arrived at the rooftop's entrance, but she couldn't keep it for too long, Gyuri's pleading gaze would melt her decision. So, she kept her eyes to the view from the rooftop of SM building.

"I'm sorry unnie, I just...maybe I've given up on this company. I know I'm being selfish by leaving you guys like this but....."

"If you are aware of how selfish you are, then don't do it. Don't leave us." Gyuri was standing next to her now, but both kept their eyes averted from each other's.

"Unnie...." Sunghee couldn't believe what she just heard. Gyuri sounded even more determined and stronger than the soft-hearted Gyuri she knew. 'When did she change?'

"Sunghee-ya, I will do everything it takes to change our concept. I will find a way to make him change his mind, so please, just hang in there for a little while. Can't you at least do that for me?"

Tears started flowing from Sunghee's eyes, but she immediately brushed them away, and tried to maintain her cool, and let out her strong voice.

"I'm sorry unnie. You can hate me if you want."

"What if I succeed to change it before our debut?"

"I'll just regret it for the rest of my life."

"But will you come back to us?"

"I can't. Once I left, it's over. Unnie, thank you so much for taking care after me all this while. You're the one who really cared for me the most...Unnie, I know you will succeed." Sunghee finally set her eyes on Gyuri' and smiled, although to Gyuri, it didn't look like a smile, but more like a fragile girl, about to break apart.

Sunghee bowed to her now, ex-team leader, and left, without looking back even once, as Gyuri's eyes trailed her every steps.

"It's over.....it really is over...." Gyuri could feel the tremble in her whisper to herself.

    111ed.jpg

"Hara-ya, why are you walking so fast? We're supposed to practice now, remember? You only booked the studio for four hours right?"

"Shut up and stop following me!" Hara didn't stop. It's just her habit whenever she's angry, she would let her feet do the therapy. Just walk without any direction, until her mind is cleared. Today, her angst felt too heavy. She took off her cap and flung it away, Seungri caught it and shook his head. 'Girl really unleash her childishness when she's angry.'

Hara was about to cross the road congested with car, without looking to her left and right, when Seungri finally decided it's enough letting her indulge in her anger. He pulled her wrist.

"Stupid! Do you want to get killed for that loser? So what if he left us? We don't need a ###### like that. We'd be better off without him." It's his turn to yell at her.

"And how are you guys going to dance with him ruining our choreography?! Wake up Seungri, Wooyoung did all the main parts of the dance. How are you two going to fill the gap? Change the choreography all over again in this limited time?"

    "We can......"

    "Let me take his place?"

"No way!" Seungri balked at the idea.

"I thought so." Hara rolled her eyes. "You and your typical sexist way of thinking."

"I'm not sexist. It's just..." Seungri's mobile phone rang.

Hara looked away at the bustling street, and crossed her arms.

"Hello, woah....Ki Hyun hyung. Dude, why did you suddenly call?...oh, about that, no big deal...Hyung Rok had thanked me more than a zillion times already, I just happened to be around at that time so I just did what I could, and lucky that I knew the people around here, including the policemen, so yeah....okay, send my regards to Seung Jae hyung and the rest of the guys..."

He glanced at the bitter looking Hara, and thought of something brilliant.

"Hey, by the way...do you know any bboy dancer who's available? I'm in the middle of some problem here, and cracking my head to find somebody.........ommo, really? Thank you hyung. I know I can count on you. You're the best. I want to kiss you......hahaha.."

Seungri ended the phone call and typed a text message. After he had sent it, he grinned towards Hara, who eyed him suspiciously, waiting for the details of his phone conversation.

"See? It's a piece of cake. Now let's go back to the studio. Doojoon hyung must be dying of cold waiting for us out there."

    "Who called?"

"An angel....who will save us....by sending us a REAL dancing God , to replace that fool. Now, come." He wrapped his hands around Hara's shoulders, just like the buddies they were. "I'm hungry, Manager-nim, treat me."

Hara threw his hands away, and looked coldly at him. "Not until you're done with some explanation."

"Arghh, you're boring. Fine! My friend will send his friend who could dance well to replace that woo ***."

"Is he any good? I don't want some weakling lame wannabes. We need to impress those agents."

"I don't know which one of his friend who will come. That's why we need to wait for him at the studio. But I can assure you, my friends are all talented, just like me. No wannabes. Except that Woo ***, dude is not even my friend anymore, because he doesn't qualify."

    "Fine. Is he coming today?"

"Hyung promised me that he will send his friend today. See? That's my reward for helping people in trouble regardless of my ahem, schedule. You have a thing or two to learn from the Great Seungri, manager nim."

Hara rolled her eyes again. But deep in her heart, she felt thankful for always having smart Seungri by her side, no matter how childishly exaggerated his talks always came out. "Well, okay then, let's eat AFTER we meet this guy."

    "What?!!"

    111ed.jpg

    "Seohyunnie~~!!"

The owner of the name turned to see her first 'best-friend' besides her group members running to catch up with her. She turned back and quickly walked away out of the company's exit, where a car was waiting to pick her up.

"*sigh* Seohyunnie, couldn't you at least give me a smile or wave instead of leaving so coldly like that? Did you got scold by your dance instructor as well?"

While she was mumbling to herself, a sawrm of Seohyun's group members walked past her. Nicole immediately bowed to them, who looked like they didn't even register her presence. Seeing the members of SNSD all going home, Nicole stretched her neck, looking for another familiar face. After a few minutes of waiting, she arrived.

"Hey, Hyoyeon~~!!" Nicole waved. Hyoyeon waved goodbye to the staff worker who was walking with her and came to Nicole. "What is it?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to say hi, since I haven't seen you and Seohyun for days. By the way, why did Seohyun looked...pissed?"

"Huh? She was just normal in the practice room."

    "Really?"

"Ahhh....." Hyoyeon remembered something. "Maybe it was because of the upcoming Korean Music Association Festival."

"Ohh?..." Nicole didn't really knew what the festival is about, and she didn't want to make Hyoyeon worked hard explaining the whole thing to her.

"It was where entertainment companies representatives, goverment representatives and singers all gathered. For SM entertainment, they send in everyone in the company because we're a major company. There will be performances, discussions and other activities to improve the industry, they said."

"Uhuh...." Nicole felt dizzy. 'Uhh, my head is tired to take in all the details, but I'm not supposed to be rude to Hyoyeon unnie, she's trying really hard to make me understand this thingy.'

"The performance night, is for singers to have a good time performing and dancing, and everyone would come with a partner...I guess Seohyun's pissed because she was rejected by that dude to be her partner."

"Whoa. Who dared to reject our precious sweetie pie?"

"I think you know that dude, you know, Shinee's Key."

"Kibum?!!" "What a stupid idiot" Nicole muttered to herself, but Hyoyeon caught it and let a small amused laugh out.

"You must be pretty close to him. No girls in the company is close to him, because he's just not into socializing with us that much."

    "Really? That's weird."

"He told Seohyun that he already had a date for the event, he rejected her in front of his group mates, so she must've felt pretty embarassed."

'He got a date already? Wow Kibum....what kind of girl would be more perfect than my precious Seohyunnie. Seohyunnie must be hurt to even be mad at ME.' Nicole pouted at the thought of Kibum ruining her relationship yet again.

"I tell you what, Unnie, I'm going to ask Kibum. Because as far as I'm concerned, he won't get a date that easily. Maybe he's just...surprised that a fairy like Seohyun asked him to be her date. If he treated her that mean-ly, chances are, he might actually like her." She beamed at Hyoyeon, who looked even more disturbed at her unexpected response.

"So, you're saying now that it's not YOU?"

my pointless rants about this chapter, the sub-characters and the relationships.

[hide] -so this chap focuses a lot on most of the Kara girls characters since we need to start going somewhere with the story. i'm having some headache because of my own greed on having so many characters when i'm not good with developing many things at the same time, but since it's the whole point of the story, i'll try. not sure if my story even appeal to fanfic readers since this story would have more of friendship moments than lovers stuffs. as for the sub-characters, i'm not even a fan of shinee/big bang/beast/2PM/SNSD/Super Junior...at all, so whew...it's hard to even write them as characters. now that i think of it again, i prefer friendships, because this kind of relationship can go towards...so many possible direction compared to merely lovers relationship. whoa....i'm ranting so much today. oh, and i don't know a thing about bboy, dance or any Korean entertainment event, so sorry if they came up ridiculous in this fic.[/hide]

  7. @quentin: ok, i'll try. could it be that your inbox was full?

@graszny: i'll have to see about that because i doubt ppl in karaholic (well, mostly) would be interested to know about them. but i'll see about it, maybe if i have extra time i'll do it....^^

anyway, this chap feels really rushed, sorry if it's gonna be boring/draggy.....and i just realized i spent 3 chaps to convey what happened in one day. lmao.

    "Chrissu....somebody's here to see you..."

There was no motion nor any reaction from Chris. He was seated at the computer table, staring intently on the computer screen. Seung Jae glanced at Nicole who stood beside him at the doorway, before approaching his maknae inside the room. He squatted down beside him and patted him lightly, almost whispering, "That's really you?"

Slowly Chris turned to him, horror in his eyes. "Hyung.....how come there's reporter? When....when you need them, they're not there. How come they're there today?"

"Chris-ah! So it was really you? Why? You could've find me. Hyung would cook all the noodles I have for you." He hugged the younger man, trying to comfort the frightened soul."

"Hyung~ I didn't steal any noodles! Don't you know me better?! I was just working!"

At the last sentence, Nicole finally was able to hear what was being talked about. She nervously entered the room and stopped a few steps behind the two men.

"He didn't steal. It was a mistake. My mistake."

Chris was shocked to realize her presence. Anger and pain blazed through his heart. He got up and faced her.

    "What are YOU doing here?!"

"I...I come to apologize." Nicole's voice lowered.

"So...my Dad sent you here huh? Impressive. Father and daughter bonding already." He snarked.

"You should've said you're working there, and I'd have...." She couldn't continue.

"You'd have what? You know what? I think you have amnesia."

Nicole was annoyed. 'Couldn't he at least felt touched that I came all the way in the middle of the night to apologize to him? What did he expect me to do? Kneel down on my knees?'

"Look. I'm really sorry. But you're freed already, so....can we start over?" She took out a pot from her bag. "I messed up when you're cooking soup earlier today, so i cook some for you to replace that one." She hesitated but continued. "Can you please forgive me?"

"Huh? Some poison I suppose..." Chris walked past her out of the room. Moments later, Seung Jae and Nicole heard the sound of slammed door. Seung Jae noticed the annoyed look on Nicole's face.

"He's a good kid,...always cute and make us smile....and cook for us."

Nicole shifted her glance on him. He smiled dryly. "But today, he was really hurt. And shocked. I mean, who wouldn't, to see his face on the news that calls him a burglar?"

"He was on the news?" Nicole's small eyes bulged and her mouth dropped open. "How famous is he to be on the news?" She shook her head, trying to shake off the posibility.

Seung Jae suddenly realized that this girl in front of him didn't even know who he was, neither did she knew Chris. He was embarassed to accept the fact that they were really either forgotten or they were really that unknown. He came to Nicole, and took the pot from her hands.

"I'll hold this for you, meanwhile why don't you go read the news on that computer."

Nicole followed as instructed. First she saw the blurred image of Chris being walked by policeman. She knew it was him. The blurred face was wearing the same outfits Chris wore earlier today when she sent him to the police. Then, she read through the news.

'A member of idol group was caught breaking into a noodle restaurant earlier today. Mr.X was reported to steal supplies from the restaurant and arrested by police before he could escape. Mr.X's group was famous in 2007, for being one of the earlier idol groups with beastly image. Mr.X who was one of the main vocals in his group was also a winner in hit reality talent show in 2005.'

"Ommo. You mean.....you mean...he's an idol?!"

Seung Jae shrugged, disappointed to have his suspicion proven. "Well, yeah, he is. And I am too."

Nicole's brain worked faster this time. She immediately snatched the pot back from Seung Jae and ran out of the house while shouting at the same time. "Thank you and sorry for bothering you." Nicole ran down the stairs. Luckily the apartment was just on 1st floor. She had to embraced the pot tightly to avoid having the contents spilled out. Luckily it wasn't that hot anymore. She looked around, hoping he was still around the area. Finally, she saw him, sitting by himself on a bench at the apartment's playground.

    "Huh...ha..huh....Sss.....sunbae"

She placed down the pot on the gound beside her, and gave him a full bow on the ground. Chris was shocked.

"What are you doing? Get up!" He looked to his left and right, and around him, afraid that it was another trap for the reporters' delight or another misunderstood arrestment. He has had enough.

Nicole lifted up her face and knelt before him. "Sunbae, I'm really, really sorry. I didn't realize you're my senior, I should've showed you more respect and not accuse you as a stealer."

"What? Who's your sunbae? Don't you try to trap me again." He got up and ready to leave her again, but she pulled his feet to stop him. He struggled to push her hands away without kicking her.

"Aish...what the hell do you want from me?"

    "Please forgive me?"

"Who cares if I forgive you or not?"

"My mom cares, and your Dad. They won't get married if you're like this."

"You don't know that man..." He gritted his teeth, tring not to let his emotions overwhelmed him.

"But I know my mom..." She pleaded, still strongly holding onto his feet.

"So...you weren't sincere about the apology after all..." Chris couldn't contain his devastation at being clung onto anymore, her words and intentions didn't help with his frustration. He tried again to push her hands away and freed his feet, but still failed. He didn't gave up, and gathered all his remaining strength to threw her away, and quickly walked off, but just after merely a few steps, he was attacked out of nowhere. The attacker pushed him with great strength until, he was thrown on the ground. It was a boy, who looked like a gangster to him. The boy sat on top of him and punched him over and over again.

    "Take that. you jerk!"

"KIBUM!!!" Nicole pushed the boy away from Chris.

"What? You think I didn't see what this jerk had done to you? How could you date such an *** like this?"

Nicole bent down and tried to help Chris to got up on his feet, totally ignoring Kibum, who couldn't believe his eyes seeing how the most important girl in his life would rather sided with the jerk who had just kicked her than himself who had just risked his image for her sake.

"You don't know him! So, just get lost!" She struggled to support Chris' weight. "Are you alright?"

Chris shoved her away once he was up on his feet. "Enough! Get your hands off me! Just take that kid away from me and get lost, both of you!" He swayed his steps, but somehow manage to staggeringly made his way back upstairs.

"At least I saved you from that heartless piece of jerk. Now,I'm waiting for my thank you...and your explanation."

Nicole couldn't believe her ears. She gave him a threatening glare and silently walked off.

Kibum trailed her slowly from behind. 'Not even a thank you? Love can really make you a fool huh. Typical girls.'

    The next morning.

Gyuri verified her company ID pass at the Guard's place. She headed straight to the practice room, only to find a dark, empty room.

"Where is everyone? I thought I was late today? Only Nicole messaged me." She sighed and bagan dialing.

"Hello, Seungyeon. Where are you? It's past 9 already."

    "Gyuri-ya~" Seungyeon sounded panicked.

    "Something happened?"

"I....lost my company ID card. I've been searching for it since I woke up. It's not in my bag anymore. I can't go there without my ID. You know it." She talked too fast, Gyuri could barely understood her except for the few key words.

"What?! Did you misplaced it, or left it somewhere."

    "I don't know..."

Gyuri wanted to scold her same aged bandmate for her carelessness. 'How can an Unnie be so careless? She should show good example. But she couldn't brought it to words, Seungyeon normally wasn't the careless type. She was a really organized, well behaved person who knew her priority. And she sounded so damn troubled just because she lost her ID. 'How could I scold her? It's just a bad luck streak that won't stop ever since yesterday, no...ever since we entered this company.'

"Just, come here first. I'll ask around the company if anyone found it." Gyuri reassured Seungyeon and hung off. She went back to the guard's place.

"Excuse me ahjussi, did you found any ID while you know....making rounds at the company or anything?"

The guard gave her a puzzled look, and tried to make sense of what he just heard. Gyuri could see the wrinkles emerged on his forehead from all the thinking.

    "Han...Seung..Yeon?" He recalled.

"Yes, did you found it, ahjussi?" Gyuri was so relieved and happy. Maybe the bad luck streak was going to stop after all.

"Well, a guy gave it to me last night."

    "A guy?"

"I thought it was her boyfriend. But he said, he's a cybercafe worker, found it when he wanted to close the place."

"Oh..." 'What the hell did Seungyeon do at places like that. She has all the computer gadgets she ever need at home.'

"He was very pretty. I thought he was a girl at first, but he's even taller than me, so it's impossible."

    "Ah..yes..."

"Well, ask her to take it from me, and don't be so careless again. You know the punishment if the management knows it. I'm going to let her free for this time only."

"Thank you ahjussi. We owed you for this." Gyuri bowed embarassedly over and over again.

    "Ahjussi....good morning!"

Gyuri turned and bowed once to the voice, he bowed back to her. Gyuri turned away and wanted to go back to the practice room. After what she heard yesterday, she couldn't bring herself to face any SM idols anymore. But at the elevator, he was there again. They both waited for the elevator without exchanging any words, until they're inside the elvator. Gyuri kept her face to the ground.

"I heard you're...not well, yesterday. Are you....alright now, Gyuri ssi?"

She stared at him, much to his shock. He thought his heart would be teared into pieces by her cold, dagger like stare.

"I....bought extra energy drink. Here...." He shoved a bottle to her. "It has...medicinal value....will make...you feel better." 'Why isn't she saying anything?'

    "Eunhyuk sunbae-nim, Are you sick?"

    "Huh? No....."

"Then, why did you buy this?" She pointed at the bottle in his hand.

"I...well..." Her attack was so sudden, he couldn't think of any other excuse.

"Eeteuk hyung told me you looked sick yesterday...so, I..."

Before he could finish, Gyuri already reached her floor. She bowed to him. Eunhyuk felt disappointed at himself. He gripped the bottle as tightly as he could, stiffening at the cold, indirect rejection. Until he noticed she was trying really hard to pull it from his hand. "Are you going to give me this or not? I'm going out."

"Oh..." 'Yikes.' He thought, and immediately freed the bottle.

Gyuri went out, smiling slightly to herself when she realized the plastic bottle looked slightly distorted from being crushed just now.

"Mom, Why won't you answer Uncle Jung's call?"

Mrs. Jung tried to stop the question with her forced smile.

"Mom, I'm asking you....why are you giving up so easily? Look at you, you can't even bring yourself to open the restaurant. You love him, so shouldn't you fight for it?"

"Not everything can be solved with just love.....we've had plans, we just failed to understand that not everything could follow our plans."

"But avoiding isn't going to do any good. His son never said he's against the wedding." Nicole sat herself on the floor beside her mother and took her hands, pleading. "...so, please don't avoid Uncle Jung anymore. He's worried about you."

The mother said nothing. She couldn't make a promise that she won't be able to keep. Nicole was too young to understand that not everything could be so simple as it appeared. She was once young and belived love conquered everything, too. But now that she's gone through a lot, she knew better, or so she thought.

"Nicole, aren't you going out for practice?"

    "Mom, promise me first."

Mrs Jung knew her daughter won't give in. She got up from her seat and led Nicole to the door, to send her off. "I'll settle this. Just give me some time. Now, you...go to your company. I'm going to go to the restaurant, Mrs. Gu must be busy doing everything on her own."

Mrs. Jung opened the door while Nicole went to her room to get her bag. Her heartbeat almost stopped at the presence of the battered young man with bruises on his face, right in front of her door. He was smiling warmly though, which made her all the more disturbed, shocked and worried. But his words shocked her all the more.

"I'm sorry to be rude yesterday. Please marry my Father, ommonim. Please don't leave him."

She reached her shivering hand towards his bruised face. "Did.....did your father did this to you?"

  8. before this, i usually go Hero comic world at Petaling Street for Korean stuffs, got dramas, music CD/DVD/VCD and posters...but that time no Kara....and the last time i went maybe last year or the year before that....now, Kara is more popular, so can check if there's their poster there.

oh man....i would like to join the meetup if it's at KLCC...but seeing all the young people talking bout school exams etc. i dunno.....my pride might get badly hurt, and i might feel out of place....haha...talkin' bout ageing dilemmas....heheh.....

about food, i never had Korean food also, but as long as it's halal. that would be my main concern.

my sis once received a huge box of Korean goodies from her Korean pen-pal. and we went to a Korean store to check the halal-ness. some of the snacks n noodles were confirmed to be non-halal.....so we had a hard time sorting the food that can and can't be eaten.....whew...

  9. gah,...

    ppyong ppyong ppyong!!!

Jiyoungie...why are you so damn cute??

the last perf was bursting...explosion of cuteness energy....lol. n they both sounded the best in that song out of the four songs.

a bit sad they failed two songs...seemed like they're really unfamiliar with the songs n decided to gave up halfway...

anyway, really happy to see my fav Kara couple in this show again. these two really need more opportunities.

    thanks for sharing.

  10. now...this would be somebody i approve to be on WGM with Gyuri....

a total opposite (in terms of their image)...it'd be super interesting to watch...

anyway, back to the topic, would be really awesome if he really is Gyuri's fan... (i hope it's not some random background like mentioned by some other comments here....)because in pops in seoul, when they're asked to choose a Kara member they want to be friends with, he chose Nicole(cuz she speaks English, lol) but i can tell Alexander is a fan of Gyuri for sure... :P (although he is her friend after all)

now i want kevin-gyuri for WGM. omg! petition!!! xD

  11. @quentin: wow. i have a 2nd reader. thank you^^. (btw, sorry, there was an error everytime i tried to pm you, so...)

Mrs. Jung looked at Mr. Jung - he looked back and smiled at her. She turned to Nicole - she was playing with the food and she looked slightly pale, was she sick? She was normal just now. Mr. Jung's son, Chris was the only one acting normal, gobbling the food on his plate happily, and throwing compliments for the food now and then.

'Ah, the situation is kind of, awkward...' She thought to herself. Mr. Jung caught her expression, and remembered the important part of this dinner. He cleared his throat and gathered his courage.

"So....how was work at that restaurant today? You went home so late just now?"

Chris glanced at Nicole, who was staring at him the moment Mr. Jung mentioned 'work at the restaurant. He smirked to himself, and just gave an innocent shrug to answer to the question.

"Well, Mrs. Jung here, she is the owner of the place you went earlier." The elder man elaborated, hoping to rope for a clearer response from his son.

"I know." He answered curtly, but gave a polite smile towards Mrs. Jung.

"You know? But...we haven't had the chance to meet, because I had to settle things at another place."

"Well...." Chris put down his chopsticks on the side of his plate. "I met a lot of interesting people today, so I eventually knew that it was your restaurant. Besides, Dad called me to go back and immediately sent me to help at his friend's restaurant after I got off the airplane. And the very same day, I was called to meet with his friend. I kind of guessed it would be the same friend. Am I right?"

Mrs. Jung was surprised at the revelation. "I'm...so sorry to hear that. I didn't know your Dad would've sent you here right away without even letting you rest first. Must be awfully tiring." Somehow, Mr. Jung could feel that she directed it to him. She was scolding him for tiring out his son. He brushed his hair, embarrassed, which again, didn't slip off Nicole's adoring eyes, since Nicole was seated right in front of him.

"Actually Chris.." the man hardened his voice, "I just sent you there to get to know Mrs. Jung, not to work permanently."

"Oh..." Chris didn't quite understood the importance of meeting his father's friend. Mr. Jung has had tons of business acquaintances back in New York, but he had never asked him to meet them.

'Is Dad investing in noodles business now?'

Suddenly Mr. Jung took Mrs. Jung's hands in his, and before Chris could actually produce a second thought on their relationship, he declared, "I'm going to marry her. She's going to be your step mother. And...Nicole here will be your step-sister."

Everyone waited for his response. Mr. Jung, nervous but firm; Mrs. Jung, worried yet happy upon seeing Mr. Jung's decisiveness, Nicole, expressionless, she had known the fact ever since she saw him in their kitchen, so there really was no more surprises, she was just curious to know how would he reacted, after what had happened.

Seeing the two pairs of eyes on him, Chris grew anxious. "Did...did you just said something? I'm not sure if I heard it right."

"We're going to get married. I hope you can stay with us here and be a good brother to Nicole."

"So, why did you call me back, if you want to get married, just go on. Did you discussed it with us when you decided to leave us after Mother died? Oh, right, you're not even discussing it now, you were just letting me know. You could've just call then. I would have said 'okay, got it. Congratulations on your wedding.' Chris finally blurted out the pain he has kept in his heart all these years. Everyone was shocked to see the sudden change of his display of emotion.

"Chris,..." Mrs. Jung's voice trembled. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to say something. Should she apologize? Should she not say anything?

Chris took off the napkin on his laps, and got up. He bowed to the elder lady. "I'm sorry. Thank you for the meal...and Congratulations on your up-coming wedding." With that he left them, with the tense look still on every inch of his face.

"I guess....he's....just...shocked because I only told him now."

    "....No. He's hurt."

Nicole looked at the two adults, now drowned in their own miseries. She was confused at what had just happened. But she knew she couldn't just do nothing. 'I don't want to see Mom getting hurt. Think Nicole, think.'

    111ed.jpg

Kihyun looked around, before letting out a yawn and rubbed his arms with his hands, trying to fight the cold air in the air-conditioned space. His gigantic eyes grew even larger. He looked around. It was a quiet night today. There were hardly any customers at the internet cafe, except for a couple sat not too far from where he was at the counter. They rent two computers, but they seemed to be chatting with each other and not even using their computers.

'Wow. People these days. Even if they have so much to spend, can't they just like...go eat, or watch movie? If they didn't even plan to use their money wisely, they could've just go sit at the park.....pfft. Oh well.....kids these days.' He clicked on the site he frequently visit ever since he was still an idol singer.

'Oh...there's a new news posted? I don't think we had any new news...but the title reads...'Member of idol group caught stealing noodles?...now, did they post it at the wrong site? These fans. Aishh....' He clicked the title.

    "WHAT DID YOU SAY?"

Kihyun's eyes automatically wandered and stopped at the couple. 'I hope they're not going to break anything or I'll be in trouble.'

The lady said nothing in response to the man's remark. She only looked at her hands.

    "Seungyeonie, why? WHY?!"

"I'm sorry, oppa. Things just...won't work out well."

"Why did you say that? You found another man? He's better than me? Did I do anything wrong?"

"Oppa, if we don't stop now. You'll only end up getting hurt in the future. I....don't want you to be disappointed in me."

"Yesterday when I saw you in college, everything was alright. You even cooked for me..." He grabbed her hands, and pleaded, not being able to accept the sudden change in their relationship. "You never disappointed me, and never will."

"I'm....sorry oppa. I won't cook for you anymore. Please, take care of yourself." She released her hands from his, not once looking back at him. He looked hard at her, tears began to emerge in his eyes. Finally he got up. And left.

"Whoa....whatta drama..." Kihyun mused to himself. 'I'm glad they didn't throw anything, but....I feel kinda bad for that dude.'

He looked at the girl, still seated at her computer. Her right hand grasped the computer's mouse tightly, until he could see her hands turn red. Moments later, she got up, went to the counter, and paid for both computers' rental fees, and quietly left. Kihyun shrugged at the whole break-up situation. "Ahh, kids these days...." With the only customer no longer in the cafe, Kihyun reverted his attention back to the computer he's using at the counter.

He saw a picture, the face had been blurred, but it still left a bad feeling, and the fans' comments on their fansite page, didn't help his suspicion. Kihyun dialed his mobile phone.

"Ya, Kihyunnie. What's up? Why did you suddenly call me at this hour?"

    "I missed you honey~"

    "Aish,...."

"Did you hate it that I call you~?" Kihyun's exaggerated baby voice, drew a nervous laughter, from the receiver.

    "I miss you too, baby~"

"Yuck! Well, I bet that means you're not messing around with some girl at this time."

"What? You're the one who started it. Don't pretend to dislike it!"

"Hyung~" Kihyun's tone turned serious, indicating they've had enough of goofing around for the time being.

"What? Hey, you're calling me Hyung..wow."

"Did....Chrissu, come back from the US already?"

    "Huh?.....Not that I know."

"Seungjae-ya, I'm sending you a link to your e-mail now. Go and check it out."

"Did something happened?! Kihyun, tell me."

"Just check your mail. I'll be dropping by after I finish work."

"Hmm, okay....I'm gonna check it now. By the way, if you're coming here, bring some food. Don't expect me to cook today, I'm tired..."

    "Ya~!!...Hyungah-ah...."

    111ed.jpg

"Hey Cole, where you going, alone, at this hour?"

Nicole knew the owner of the voice even before she turned around to find it. Usually, she would be more than happy to hang around with him, no matter how annoying he is towards her, but not today. She has had more than enough to chew, and to think that the day still hadn't ended for her. He came out from behind the bushes near her house.

"Hi Kibum, so what you doin' here at MY house at this hour? stalker much?" She waited for him to brush off the leaves on his trousers. "You're one weird dude you know?"

"What do you mean stalk? I told you I'd come over."

    "No, you didn't."

"That Minho dude told me he had told you..."

Nicole tried to remember the conversation she had earlier during the day, but her mind is too clustered with too many troubling events already, she gave up the attempt and just shrugged it off. "Maybe I forgot. You haven't answer me? What are you doing here? Anything important? It's almost 11 p.m."

"You haven't answer me either. Where are you going at almost 11 p.m.? And what's that in your hands"

"It's not your business really." Nicole moved her hands farther from his stare.

"Excuse me?!" Seeing the boy who was her close friend, also her childhood friend, and now, her senior in the company getting angry, Nicole realized she needed an easier way out than provoking his anger. He must've waited her for long outside the house, although she couldn't understand why he wouldn't just knock on the door or just call her.

"I mean....I'm meeting up with Unnie..."

"Which unnie? I can follow you."

"You don't know him. She...she had a problem. So I'm going to have a talk with her. GIRLS talk, if you know what I mean."

    "So....I can't join?" Kibum's face dropped.

"I'm sorry....I'll see you tomorrow at the company?"

"Tomorrow we have program show recording."

"The day after tomorrow then. Good luck for tomorrow's show. Go home early and rest, okay buddy?" Nicole smiled her earnest, heart-melting smile and patted her friend's shoulder. She walked away from him in her fast mode walking speed, only to turn once to waved him, still with that smile.

"Yah, Nicole Jung....do you think I've just gotten to know you for a day or two? Think I don't know you're up to something suspicious? GIRLS talk....hah! Do you think I'm that stupid? Thought I told you you're the worst liar I've ever seen. You just wait and see how I'm gonna surprise you." Kibum smirked to himself, satisfied with his own acting skills just now.

    111ed.jpg

Seung Jae scratched his eyes in disbelief. "This really look like Hyung Rok....but..it can't be. Hyung Rok is in the US. He just sent me email last week. Phew, must be a fan who tried to be his lookalike."

Suddenly, his doorbell rang. Seung Jae got up from his seat and opened the door, only to have his mouth gaped open.

    "Ommo! Hyung Rok?!!"

"Hyunggg~~" Chris threw himself to the man who opened the door for him, and hugged him tightly. Seung Jae patted his head.

"Hyung Rok....so, it really was you? The noodle stealer? But why?..."

"WHAT?!" Chris pulled himself away, shocked and nervous at the same time. 'How did he know about that.....embarrassing stupid arrestment?'. "Hyung? What nonsense are you talking? I came here because I missed you....and I had nowhere else to go tonight."

"Okay, Okay...don't start crying. Come in first."

Chris walked into his group leader's apartment and straight away landed himself on the long couch in the living room. He felt extremely tired with everything he had to endure for the past 24 hours-took a plane back to South Korea, straight away went to work at noodle restaurant after he arrived, that sick girl who sent him to the police station, that noisy schoolgirl and Seungri who made noise to free him, he wouldn't even dream to meet again with Seungri in such an embarrassing situation, and then his father called to come by at a friend's house for dinner when he didn't bother to ask his whereabouts, 'He didn't even care to ask. I bet he wouldn't have dreamed that this filial son of his just spent a few horrifying moments of his life behind the bars because of that girl he wanted for his daughter. And out of the blue, he just told me he's going to get married. What did he take me as? His son? Personal assistant? He wanted me here just to be a 'good brother' to that girl? Not because I'm his son? Why did he even called me? Why did I even came?'

"Ya~!! Hyung Rok!! Have you eaten yet? Do you want me to cook some instant noodles for you?" He heard Seung Jae's voice from the kitchen.

"No, I've.....eaten. I'm full, Hyung. No need to cook." 'Even Hyung cares for me more than him. Did he have to hurt me? Just let me be with my own life, Dad, and just do whatever you like.' Tears welled in his eyes. He brushed them off, not wanting to worry his hyung.

"You didn't want food? Are you really Hyung Rok?" Seung Jae emerged from the kitchen with a glass of chilled apple juice, he handed it to Chris. The latter took it from him and drank it all in one shot. Seung Jae looked on in amazement, and smiled. "Now, that's more like you. Kihyunnie's gonna drop by, you can wait for him, or you can go to sleep in my room if you're tired."

    "Hyung......Thank you..."

Seung Jae laughed. "Phew, I'm relieved you're not saying I Love You. Or I'd start thinking that something is really wrong with me?."

It's Chris' turn to laughed, even though his heart was still aching. "Must be Kihyun hyung's effect."

"Talking about Kihyun,..." Seung Jae paused, thinking on a way to say the words he wanted to say. "....why don't you go into my room and look at my computer's screen. That dude on that news article sure looks like you. Are you sure it's not you?"

"WHAT? News article?!!!" Chris stormed into the room, leaving Seung Jae stunned at his little maknae's shriek. He got up to follow Chris, but was stopped by the doorbell.

'Hmm, must be Kihyun. He's early.' He opened the door with a silly grin. "Baby, you must really missed me that much to be this..."

But it was not Kihyun. In fact, it was a teenage girl. She was startled at his affectionate greetings and immediately bowed.

    "Anyeonghaseyo..."

"Ah...yes,.....sorry." Seung Jae bowed back to her, his face reddened, and he cursed himself for being over-confident that it was Kihyun at the door. 'Aish...how embarassing...'

"Sorry to...umm, disturb you at such a late hour..." She mumbled, but he could hear her clearly.

"It's alright, but I guess you got the wrong house number because I don't know you." He wanted to ask how he could help her like the gentleman he is, but all he could think of was getting rid of this stranger that had caught him embarrassed.

The stranger scanned through his face and expression, trying to decide whether this was the person she needed to see, and whether he could be trusted, because like he told her, she didn't know him either. Seeing his uncomfortable but warm smile though, reassured her.

    "My name is Nicole Jung...."

    "Oh....okay..."

"..and I need to see Chris Jung. Is he here?"

more infos about Battle members who made appearance in this chapter: (sorry, but i do love bragging about my boys...bear with me please^^) [n note, these are their real characteristics, not their character in this fic, although there'll be tons of similarities]

    - Ryu (real name: Won Seung Jae) is the eldest member/leader of Battle

    - He was one of the winners in Let's Cokeplay Battle Shinhwa, personally picked by Shinhwa's maknae, Andy.

    - position in group: Rapper (but he can sing too, and he had singing parts when Battle performed a Chinese song in China)

    - His birthdate: 18th April 1987

    - he was the 2nd tallest in the group, 185cm(before Chris grew even taller than him, lol)

    - he has a younger sister.

    - Ryu was a model even before he joined Battle Shinhwa, he had been a child actor, been in a CF and won a few modeling awards. (see what i meant by having similarities to our Gyuri?)

    - while in Battle, Ryu did some acting. He acted in drama, Supermom (as the perfect dude from America who had a close relationship with the lead girl, n made the lead guy jealous, i think...lol, other Battle members made a cameo as his friends.)..he also acted in a short TV movie early this year.

    - Ryu also had acted in some plays/theater. even in Battle fanmeeting, he did a musical performance of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

    - he also did some runway modeling together with a few other Battle members as well as individually, while in Battle.

    - he also participated in the show where he had to dress as a girl(with Chris), he didn't won any title, but he did an impressive bellydance show with Chris, where he also played with sword. (oh, Ryu..is there anything you can't do?)

    - As a leader, Ryu pretty much did the house chores. (although, Chris liked to cook a lot as well)

    - Ryu is known to write in sweet/cheesy/cute messages to Battle fans in his CY. he acts cute/dorky too, and he'd call his members cute. (you wouldn't guess it from his handsome appearance, until you become his fan and watch him closely :P )

    - He is a leader who always bowed down the lowest. he didn't talk the most or be in the middle all the time, he's a leader who led from the back.

    - He's kind, caring and sweet to the members n fans. There were fan accounts when Battle went to China, saying Ryu helped a fan who fell down in the crowd to get up and brought her to a safer spot. Fans also said, he smiled n waved to the fans all the time.

    - Ryu's ideal type: the type who can sing 'trot', like Jang YoonJeong, innocent type, if celebrity-someone like Han Ga In.

    - he recently went to perform his military service. making him the 3rd Battle member to went for the army.

    some recent pics of Ryu:

    555pp.jpg

    - Kihyun (Shin Ki Hyun) is the 2nd eldest member in Battle when Battle debuted.

    - However, before Battle came up with their 3rd single, Kihyun quit the group, leaving them with only 5 members, saying he wanted to concentrate on becoming an actor (which i don't really believed)

    - He was one of the winners in Let's Cokeplay Battle Shinhwa, personally picked by Shinhwa's leader, Eric.

    - position in group: rapper and vocals.

    - He was known as Lee Nayoung for his resemblance to the actress, his beauty was also compared to Kim Taehee.

    - He was the tallest/giant in the group: 187/188 cm.

    - He lived with his mother and younger sister. so, he was pretty much the man of his family and he was close to his mom n sis.

    - He's caring in a quiet way, another member revealed he felt sick one day, and Kihyun said nothing, and disappeared only to give him medicine, without saying anything.

    - He did some modeling while in Battle. After he quit Battle, he had acted in My Fair Lady (as one of Yoon Eunhye's butlers :/ )

    - he also did some MCing while in Battle. he was the MC for Show Music Tank with Sunday(CSJH)

    - He loves to take selfcam of himself, if i'm not mistaken, he's the member with the most selfcam pics on the net. lol.

    - Kihyun's ideal type: girls who have pretty eyes and lips, of course she must have a kind heart, if celebrity-someone like Kim Tae Hee. (yeah, someone like himself lol)

    - Kihyun may have quit Battle, but as a fan, i still consider him a Battle member. Why? most members who left their group could hardly be seen with their former group, but for Kihyun, he still hang out with all Battle members all the time(as evident from the many pictures on the net), he still showed support for them. recently, he posted a message asking for Battle fans to keep supporting n wait for Battle.

    - the incident that left the biggest mark on Kihyun-Battle relationship(after he left the group) is probly the one where a comedian Lee Hyukjae, made fun of Battle as a failure. Kihyun posted a very lengthy message stating his disappointment because of the comedian's insensitivity towards the hardship n situation Battle had to went through. (me thinks it's a really heartbreaking entry, i was so damn proud of him, because he stood up for his ex-group that wasn't even achieving much success. Kihyun is awesome and his bond with the other members are amazing. period.)

  12. okay...after a lil stalking....i guess i should just raise my hands and intro myself a bit here, n try to answer the question on first post...

yeah...i'm over 23.....not yet 25....but will be there very soon lol.

prolly i'll be the eldest female fan here? or at least make it to the top 10? :P

i only got into Korean music about 5+ years ago.....i started with Kdrama->Krock singer...and somewhere in between i discover Shinhwa. i disliked them at first because they seemed so popular at that time, but after i tried their music i fell in love with them. awesome dudes. i disliked most of other popular groups though, until today.

anyway, how i come to love Kara?

well, i was in a Battle(my fav Kpop idol ever) forum. i was super active there and a friend kept asking me to try Kara's music, Kara had just released their first album at that time. i wasn't too excited because i just had a horrible experience watching another popular girlgroup who couldn't sing, so i was skeptical. but Kara's songs sounded nice, so i joined their international forum at that time. a member really caught my attention cuz she's just beautiful(lol, but that wouldn't be enough to make me a fan). but i was just a casual fan, until i watched their live performance. n i liked the fact that they didn't have to wear revealing clothes or shake their butts to gain attention(i know, i know....how time flies) they're kick-***, tough n cool. my fav song from that time though would be Don't Be Shy. n fav perf would be their duet with Min Hyorin for the song Stars. i was impressed, they can be tough chicks at one time, elegant n sophisticated at the other time. they can sing beautifully. what more do i want? i'm not exactly the kind who'd fall for cute/pretty/handsome/funny/ idols, if they can't sing. because i look at idols as singers(since they do have to sing on stages n they do make albums)

no matter how much Kara's image has changed, there'll always be a place for them in my heart(lol) because up until now..i still like the songs they come up with. although sometimes i'm disappointed when their voices often gets drowned in live perfs.

well, i like Korean music in general, not limited to kpop. but i must say, old school kpop sounds way better than kpop these days. all songs sound alike, there are more electronic sounds than music. iono. maybe that's just me n my 'outdated' taste....

talking bout age, i do feel out-of-place a lot, because most of my peers are busy getting married n making families and complaining their life, while i'd go spazzing about kpop/kmusic(i don't spazz with them though, cuz they'd look at me as a freak, n they don't know/care Kpop that much besides a few popular groups anyway) it feels depressing to spazz alone, when those younger ones would spazz with their coursemates/peers about kpop. thank goodness there's internet. but i'm not ashamed of my kpop fandom. i remember in one of my class(during university days) we had to give a talk about any topic. and i gave one about kpop. (eventhough most students in that class were clueless about what i was talking about) n when i did my creative writing course, i wrote a fanfic, while my other coursemates tried hard to impress the lecturer with complicated stuffs. lol. a risk worth taking though. well, when it comes to Korean stuffs, i'm spazzy n i can be childish in that way, even more so than teenagers...lol.

ahh, sorry for the lengthy post. how embarrassing. :sweatdrop:

  13. well, no worries, it was merely a suggestion since i saw a post asking for suggestion for activities/event content because we/you guys still don't have any. lol.

based on my experience in another artiste's forum, first gathering we only went minum2 at klcc since it was accessible to the members there, n it wasn't even longer than 1 hour lol n not even that many who turned up. well, i was late so i was only there with them for about 10 minutes.

the facebook page, i've just checked it out...and just like any other fb pages, it looked kinda dead in terms of members' participation in the topic discussions.

anyway, the picnic style sounds nice. :)

  14. i prefer kl three (i support the klcc park idea :P ).... but hey, just sayin'... since i can't even confirm if i'm going or not, it depends on the place, my schedule/mood, etc. xD

btw, i see someone with name similar with me here...lol...ok, that was random.

about the activity for the meetup

how about a Kara-imitation/roleplay competition? like, everyone who come choose one Kara member whom they'll roleplay, and then they'll be given situations and act as their chosen kara member, so they'll have to incorporate the member's personality/way of talking/expressions into the roleplay(let's not play on looks/dressing style, to make it applicable for both female n male fans)

and at the end of the day, those who come can vote who'd win the title of Mr/Miss [insert kara members name]

haha, sorry if the idea sounds pretty silly....it just came to my head.

  15. @graszny: Thank you soo much for replying. you have no idea how thankful i felt to have even one person that read my stuff. i was giving up and thought i should just post this fic on my blog instead of here since it's just a waste.. ah, yes, Chris is cute...and pretty. lol. n i know Nicole can easily be paired with tons n tons of male idols, which is why i'm going for a different relationship dynamics for them that won't even require lovers' kind of chemistry.

    and my fav members are...

[hide] the leaders...Ryu n Gyuri. two people with tons of similarities besides being the leader of their respective groups. except that Ryu obviously enjoy doing cute stuffs (although he's supposed to be cool) and Gyuri don't. lol.[/hide]

"What the....What did you just call me....you... thief?"

"Who? What? Did you just call me thief? You're the burglar here, not me."

"That's it. I'll call the police."

"Do that" Chris crossed his arms, proudly. Before he went panic at the splurting soup from the boiling pot. "Ahh, my cooking..."

"...yes, there's this 16 year old-ish, boy who broke in my Mother's restaurant and stole the supplies. Please come quickly now......yes, yes, I'll try to find help from the people around, but please hurry up, I might be in danger."

Chris' eyes bulged. "Did you.....really called.....the police?"

It's Nicole's turn to put on a proud face. "Well, No, i just called a friend. Turns out his name is Police."

Chris groaned. "Are you serious? I work here. And it's not that I really wanted to. I was forced to. And what do I get for that. Miss, please cancel the police report."

"Huh? You work here? Any proof? I may look stupid, but I'm smarter than you definitely. That's really lame attempt to get your way out. You could have beg me and promise you'll not do this kind of stuff again in the future, you jerk."

"Huh, you want proof. Fine." It's Chris' turn to dial the numbers on his phone. After half a minute, he redialed, but no, there was no answer.

"Where is he, not answering his call after he put me in this mess?" He mumbled while his fingers, still frantically dialing.

"See, you're just pretending." Nicole waved towards the front door. "Here! Quickly."

Within a minute, Chris had been dragged out by the police, all the while he protested, but once they were out from the restaurant, he made sure not to make a big scene. He kept his head low, and tousled his long-ish hair to cover his face. Nicole looked on, proud of herself for saving the day. Just as the police car was about to left, a tall girl in school uniform arrived at the scene and knocked almost violently at the window, screaming.

"Chris oppa~!! Why did you took him away? He's not a criminal~! Chris oppa~~~"

The wailing and screaming didn't manage to do anything. They left to the police station anyway. The girl turned to Nicole, who was still looking from the front of her restaurant.

"Unnie, Chris oppa is innocent. How come the police took him away?"

"You know that dude? Well, he broke into this restaurant. The police did the right thing. You shouldn't make friends with people like that. It'll ruin your future."

The girl snorted. "He's working in this restaurant. I saw him talking with the ahjumma who work here, this morning when I was on my way to school."

Nicole was still unconvinced. She had never seen this girl. And her reaction was too strong. They could be partners in crime.

"Then, why are you here, when school period still hasn't ended?"

The girl gave her the WTF face. "Who needs to go to school when you can watch Chris' oppa's smile all day long? I just went to grab a drink when the restaurant closed for break and I came back to see Chris oppa dragged into police car. How absurd is that? I shouldn't have left."

"Who is this.....Chris oppa anyway?" Nicole tried her best to maintain her politeness despite her growing annoyance at the fangirly act of this unknown school kid.

"OMG! I can't believe you don't know him. What a loser."

'What? She called me a loser for not knowing that unknown juvenile criminal? Huh, I am a future gasoo you know...'

"Omona! I need to save Chris oppa. Think... think......i know!" She ran but turned to Nicole for one last time, teeth gritted.

"You. Better be careful. If anything happens to Chris oppa, I won't let you live peacefully."

    111ed.jpg

Gyuri shut the door behind her, as quiet as possible, when in her mind, she'd love pretty damn much to slam it until it cracked. Her heart felt heavy, so were her steps.

"Oh, Gyuri ssi, did you just went to see Director?"

    "Eeteuk ss...sunbaenim. Anyeonghaseyo."

"Did something happen? You don't look too well."

"I don't?" She touched her cheek. Warmer than usually. It wasn't a surprise to her though. She was feeling horrible anyway.

"You don't." He came forward and laid the back of his palm on her forehead. "Wow, you're sick, really. Go home and rest. Go to the clinic and get some medicine first."

Gyuri retreated one step backward. She was shocked and uncomfortable at the friendly gesture.

"T...Thank you, sunbaenim, I'll be going then." She bowed.

"Do you...perhaps, have any problem? Care to share? I'm a good listener. No, not just good, brilliant." He seemed genuinely eager, which only added uneasiness and burden on Gyuri's head.

"It's....it's okay. I'm...going to meet Double S oppas. I'll be going."

"Oh...okay. Please say Hi to them for me." He went away first before she did.

'What did he come to this floor for? He didn't go in to see the Director and straight away took the stairs down. What a weirdo. Sorry Double S oppas to use your name. I just need to get free urgh...'

She went inside and pushed the G button in the elevator. Minutes later, she found herself inside a cubicle in the restroom, listening to the kind of things she's used to heard, here in SM Entertainment. Only, this time, it's worse.

"That one chick really think she's all highly huh?"

"Yeah. Serves them right. They went in here, thinking they're so pretty and goody good and look down on us for wearing short skirts and flaunting our God given legs."

"Now, turn into bunnies, playboy bunnies. Haa."

"Taeyeon unnie is really smart to come up with that."

    "You bet."

Gyuri wanted to smash open the door, yell and scream incoherent words, pull their hair, strangle their neck, kill them and proudly present the carcasses to their CEO. Let's not forget this Taeyeon girl too. Oh, she should be treated 'better' for being the main reason for their suffering. She wanted so badly to go to the police tell them "I'm Park Gyuri and I'm so fcukin proud to admit that I've killed those SM b*tches. Now, gimme my reward."

But no, all the crazy fantasies, she knew could only remain fantasies. Her guilty pleasure. Gyuri heard no more chattering sounds. It was so quiet she could hear her own breathing. Gyuri slowly let herself loose, squatting on the floor, crying her heart out, trying to be as soundless as she could.

    111ed.jpg

"Lee Seung Ri. This is a warning. Come out, now! Or... I'll come in and.. get you"

    No answer.

"Yah! Come out now!" She shook and knocked the gate. A girl in school uniform suddenly arrived, gave her a 'weirdo' look and pushed the gate open, straight away into the house's door. The schoolgirl was shouting 'Seungri oppa, Seungri oppa' noisily all the way until she was inside the house.

'I've been standing here, calling for him from the outside, trying to be as polite as possible, and that kid just...barged in. Didn't she know how to line-up and take turn? Wow, kids these days~ Or, could she be his sister? Then...should I go in?' She contemplated, but went in anyway, and stopped at the wide opened door. It was just a small house with a living room, and a small space outside the backdoor, where he would cook. She didn't know how he manage to survive without even having a toilet in the house, but he told her, "This is how WE live. That's why you can't be part of us." Well, that brought her back to all their arguments every time she said she wanted to join and be a part of them, not just their 'manager'. 'What's there to even manage? It's not like they listen to me.'

"Seungri oppa!! Wake up, NOW. We need to go to police station."

Seungri, who had been unaffected by all the whining and pulling made by the schoolgirl suddenly bulged open his small, sleepy eyes. "Wh..What did you say? police? What did I do?"

"Chris oppa, Chris oppa~" She was out of breath.

"Yaa...did you find a troublemaker boyfriend? Jiyoungie...it's not like oppa don't want to help you, but oppa need to sleep? Go find your Dad to help him."

"Oppaaaa!" Jiyoung screamed her high pitch shrilly voice and pulled him up again from the floor. "Chris oppa...Battle...Battle Shinhwa, Jung Hyung Rok. Oppa, he is your friend. You need to help him. That....that evil girl at next lane's noodle restaurant accused him to be a thief. Oppa, we need to hurry up."

"Hu...huh? That Hyung Rok, being a thief? I..know he has a thing for food, but why would he stole from cheap restaurants? His Dad has more than enough money. And....come on, he's a public figure. Why would he do that?" He sat crossed legged, while rubbing his chin, not noticing another girl at the door.

"Right? I'm so glad there's somebody with some sense? Hurry oppa." Jiyoung grabbed his arms, trying to pull him up.

    "But...why me?"

"Because you're the only person I know who can save him quickly. Now, let's go."

Seungri knew there's no way the girl would give up. HE got up, stretched his arms and let out a loud yawn. "Okay, let's go. Don't forget to treat oppa...I want noodle from that restaurant."

At the door, he finally saw her.

"Hara, what are you doing here?"

She sneered. "Well, somebody is really busy huh? To forget his own little schedule that is not even packed like an artiste's. "

"I....need to go for awhile. I'll be back quickly, can you wait?"

"Oppa!!!" Jiyoung's already at the gate, waving to him to hurry up. "Quick! We need to drop by and find that ahjumma who work at the noodle restaurant. She will be able to help us!"

"Aish! You're so noisy!" Seungri tousled his hair in frustration and took a jacket from the floor.

"Sorry Hara. See you tonight at the usual spot." With that he went with the schoolgirl. Hara could only watch their backs fading away and disappeared.

"What was that all about? Jail? noodle restaurant ahjumma?"

    Ding dong.

    "Go open the door."

"Coming~~" Nicole took one last look at the dinner table she had set while her mother was doing the cooking. She was nervous, nervous and excited at the same time, to meet this '2nd Dad-to be' for the first time. "She turned to face her mother before she left the kitchen. "Mom, do I look okay?" She turned around, showing off the soft pink knee length dress wrapping her body.

"Well, to be honest, you look like you're all set to be a bridesmaid. Don't you think that's a little too early for today?"

"Mom! I'm trying to give the best first impression."

"Okay, you look beautiful, honey." Mrs. Jung laughed and shook her head.

"Anyeonghaseyo." The man, a tall, slender man in his early 50's bowed. He was wearing spectacles, a hat and a trench coat. But despite all the details she noticed, it was the basket in his hands that Nicole couldn't take her eyes off. It was a basket filled with cupcakes. They were just plain undecorated cupcakes but Nicole thought they looked fabulous. Any food would look fabulous to her.

"I hope you like it. I tried to make these since your mom said you like deserts."

Realizing her embarrassing reactions, Nicole immediately bowed. "Anyeonghaseyo. I....of course I like it. You must've put a lot of efforts in these. They look really nice." She took the basket and craddle it in her hands like they're her babies.

The man smiled. "Well, it was the way you look at that basket that confirmed me you're Nicole, am I right?"

She grinned sheepishly. "Yes, that'd be me. Come in ahjussi, Mom is at the kitchen."

They both went to the kitchen. Nicole pulled a chair for their guest to sit, and didn't spare any time to show off the gifts on her arms. The lady smiled.

    "Those are beautiful."

"Well, my son could make ten times better than these." He rubbed his hair, embarrassed at the plainness of the food he brought. He didn't even have the time nor confidence to decorate the cupcakes. Nicole thought his abashed looks made him all the more charming.

"Speaking of your son, where is he?" Mrs Jung stretched her neck to look if Mr. Jung's son was actually there.

"He will be here soon. Didn't you met him already? I sent him to your restaurant this morning. He just came home when I went out, so I hadn't have the chance to talk to him about it."

"Ommo, You should've told me earlier. I was out the whole day. There were some problems with my supplier."

"Is the problem settled? You could've told me if we need to postpone the dinner."

"No, it's okay. I've got it all worked out." She beamed. "Nicole, help me set the food on the table."

"Huh, oh..okay mom." Nicole, once again lost in her admiration for this ahjussi, came back to her surrounding.

    Ding dong.

Mrs. Jung went to open the door. Nicole could hear her mother's voice talking and laughing. 'Already? That was fast. He must be a good talker, but Ahjussi is so shy. I wonder if he looks half as good as ahjussi. Aish, Nicole, why are you getting so starstruck by this ahjussi? He is so cute. I want to call him Dad already. Is that bad?'

Mrs Jung led Mr. Jung's son, who was clad in formal suit, to the kitchen, and there he saw her, a face he had seen not long ago, he was pretty sure she remembered him as well. Well, it wasn't even half a day ago that she sent him to the police station, to his horror. But judging from her gaping mouth and the paleness of her face upon seeing him, he knew the table had been turned, she's the one feeling horrified now. 'Very fair indeed.' He didn't know why he was called there to have dinner with Dad's friend, but right now, all he wanted is to relish this very moment.

"Oh, that's my daughter, Nicole, introduce yourself."

She was still speechless, and frozen. But he came forward, until they're standing opposite each other at the table, and offered his hand for a handshake, with a smirk.

"Chris Jung, and I'm 22 years old, although average girls thought I look 16. Great pleasure to meet you."

  16. i know ppl will call me over conservative n bla bla n i know sex sells as well... (not implying anything on Kara here, just their image/style)

but seeing them continuously wearing lesser n lesser..iono.....i don't see how wearing less shows they're maturing. n i don't see how the 'belly fashion' makes them cute. cuz they're cute anyway. n iono, seeing the same fashion continues...i was hoping for something new n fresh for their wardrobe. even the shorts are continuation of their lupin style(well, after halfway promotion they started wearing shorts till the end, even for umbrella, plus every girlgroups are wearing shorts now.)

maybe i'm just one of those old-fashioned (overprotective) fans who became their fan after being impressed with their awesome songs n performances without having to rely on being sexy n showing lots of skin just like every other girlgroup... :sweatdrop: ..so, yeah, please ignore me.

well, whatever...i still like them, although i used to like their styles even much more, classy n sexy without revealing much. i'll be waiting for the day they'll be recognized/gain attention for their music n performing skills again.

    thanks for the news.

  17. she only got a line and it had to be a shared line (btw, who did she share her line with?)

eugh.... <_< ...out of all Kara members Gyuri(n maybe Jiyoung as well) got the least chances to showcase their individual talent outside of the group.....

and every time she got an opportunity, it turns out to be a wasted/one....

first it was that collab where she played keyboard and sang a bit as backup/background vocals...

    and now this.....

oh man, when will Gyuri ever be appreciated for her awesome distinctive voice?

ok, i should stop complaining n go emo-ing alone.

thanks for sharing the vids here though.
