KARA's Youngji had her first ever solo fanmeeting in Japan! 'Nice to See U' was her first time meeting her Japanese fans for the first time since the other members of KARA left DSP Media. She was greeted by a theater full of fans. As she'd MCed for the April girls when they had their fanmeet in Japan, the April girls came to help her as well. For reasons unknown, former KARA member Hara has deleted her Instagram. Panicked fans noticed that her account no longer existed, and trying to access any of her photos bring an error. She didn't give a reason as to why she deleted the account. Former KARA member Jiyoung opened up about her career as an actress in Japan. Jiyoung held an interview for the upcoming movie 'Kataomoi Spiral' and shared, "I learned how to discipline myself in Japan. 'Today, I won't read the screenplay and sleep,' 'Today, I'll skip out on class.' I was tempted by those things, but I always made the decision. I was in a group until then, so I did experience loneliness. If I didn't become stronger, I would fail. What I made the most effort for is Japanese." She added, "When I practiced conversations, I was very careful with it. At first, it was the biggest stress. Staff would be beside me to fix my errors, but these days, there aren't as many." Jiyoung also mentioned how happy she was that people are still paying her any attention. She said, "People don't ask me anymore about leaving KARA, and they listened to me about my movie and promotions in Japan," adding, "I always want to receive love. A rookie award for film. I think it's the best to receive an award after doing various work. I'd be happy if my acting was acknowledged. I think I want to do more in Japan and Korea as well as other places in Asia." About her character Yeeun, Seungyeon said, "The director told me that I'm very compatible with Yeeun. I was very thankful. It gave me passion to want to pour my everything into this role. I was pressured about this big role, but I'm used to an environment where females live together, so I feel very comfortable surrounded by female actresses all my age. Thanks to that, I'm currently having a lot of fun filming." On how viewers should approach 'Youth Generation', Seungyeon shared, "Because it's the story about 5 very unique college students who live together, it's going to have several different storylines. Kang Ji Young recently sat down for an interview in Japan for her upcoming film “Kataomoi Spiral.” Kang Ji Young has been working in Japan as an actress after leaving the girl group KARA in 2014. “I decided to come to Japan alone and learn the language,” she said. “Sometimes I would think to myself, ‘Let’s just sleep tonight without reading over the script,’ or ‘Let’s skip class today,’ but I didn’t want to lose to myself. Until then, I’d had a group around me to support me, but I needed to become stronger.” Last year, Kang Ji Young played a role in the live-action adaptation of the anime “Assassination Classroom.” “I was really happy when I saw articles about me,” she said. “I was glad that people were taking an interest in my work. Instead of asking me questions about KARA, people were asking questions about my acting.” She ended the interview by sharing some of her future dreams. “I want to play a variety of roles in the future. Upcoming JTBC drama 'Youth Generation' has filled in its 5 main female lead roles! On June 10, a producer from 'Youth Generation relayed, "We met up with numerous actresses and cast those who most accurately synchronized with the characters." 'Youth Generation', which revolves around the story of 5 college girls who live together in a share house, will feature Han Ye Ri, Seungyeon, Hwayoung, Park Hye Soo, and Park Eun Bin as the main female leads. Seungyeon cast in web movie 'Bugs Attack'! KARA's Seungyeon has been cast in upcoming web movie 'Bugs Attack'! On May 24, Seungyeon's label J Wide Company announced, "Seungyeon has been offered a role for the movie 'Bugs Attack', which is currently in discussion for production. She will be working with director Hwang Dong Hyuk of the movie 'Silenced.'" 'Bugs Attack' is an omnibus movie consisting of 10 episodes.
