    With April sisters (Took when they were in Japan early this month.)

    They look as one group :-) DSP can come idea that YoungJi + April can be on sale much better, than YoungJi and April separately. Can in it and there is their plan? And through joint participation in meetings, the public gets used to their joint look.  
     
    Funny, but in difference from Kara, against April, YoungJi doesn't look the large girl)

    Honestly the reason i tried to be active in here because there is only a few of us her fans :touched: so thank you Red for making this thread and keeping it so alive and update. Love ya..    

     

     

    As far as I have noticed, this part of a forum now likely the most live. About other participants of Kara, the message appear slightly less often. It can be also connected of course with the fact that YoungJi now the most active of Kara.
     
    Of course all forum became much less active.

    Youngji debuted on 818 when Kara came back with Mamma Mia (showcase).

    However, on a personal note, Youngji debuted on 701 when she emerged the winner of Kara Project.

    TBH, a few days leading to the finale, I had already done preparing 2 individual Spazz Threads.

    Though I was disappointed that only 1 made it, I was delighted for 0G because thankfully she was able to find a place in Kara forum, here in Karaholic.

    In spite of what happened in other forums, I wanted so much to tell her that there are fans in Kara fandom who are supportive of her.

    In fact, you can say I feel sympathy towards her too.

    2 years passed, haters still hate. So if you ask me, it's good that Kara comes to an end.

    Youngji needs only us, fans who embrace her for the various right reasons.

    Yes, I'm worried about her, her return on stage as a singer.

    Even if she doesn't, I don't blame DSP because DSP isn't the one who fails her but a group of Kara fans.

    I've been to a lot of places and read a lot, I'll always remember how 0G is treated.

    I was 100% devoted to Kara but the whole incident pushed me away from this fandom, and eventually Kara.

    I slaved myself for Kara and her fandom and I don't regret the old days but I wished I wasn't so naive.

     

     

    In groups of the Russian fans of Kara there was something similar. Two years ago I didn't watch these events. But recently I have read a few archives of the Russian social network VK (analog of Facebook). In VK all active groups of fans of K-Pop are located. Not only from Russia, but also from neighboring countries where there is a lot of the Russian-speaking population. 
     
    Considerable part of our radical fans of Kara-5 badly perceived idea of Kara Project. And many them them too still couldn't reconcile to YoungJi victory. Two years later, of them it is still possible to read different offensive comments to YoungJi, at a mention of YoungJi in any news. Though recent news, about successful fan meeting of YoungJi, has forced almost all to shut up: almost there were no bad comments. Likely these ill-wishers have tested strong butthurt :-) 
     
    Here YoungJi has also attracted many new fans who weren't admirers of Kara earlier. Generally it occurred through various shows, first of all of course Roommate. It is possible to tell that YoungJi has drawn much more attention to Kara group, than was earlier. But our radical fans of Kara-5, don't consider fans of YoungJi as real fans of Kara. When Kara has broken up, they even demanded not to give support of YoungJi, were indignant that there were many posts of support. It was even ridiculous. 
     
    But considerable part of admirers of Kara-5, after all have accepted and have fallen in love with YoungJi. 
     
    At us like to accuse DSP at the slightest pretext too :-) Though for example in fan groups "After School" and "Orange Caramel", always accuse Pledis too. Likely it is normal for any fans))
     
    It seems to me that DSP did and does very effective work and promotion for YoungJi. As far as there are enough current opportunities of DSP. YoungJi together with April, possibly now the most valuable asset for DSP.

    I've a question, this is lady someone whom you know?

    Is she an idol? If she is, I really envy her fans because they're so fortunate.

    This is no barrier between them, they interact with each other just like normal friends.

     

    It is one of the main factors of her popularity. People see in her the ordinary girl from the people. The girl from the neighboring house. Not false. Polite, modest, timid, simple and direct. Isn't afraid of any work, it is ready to any tests. Isn't afraid to show the real feelings and emotions. Isn't afraid to cry. It very much allocates her from a habitual type of idol. In Roommate it looked so as if the ordinary girl was placed in the company to stars :-) But it very much was pleasant to the audience.

    I haven't found more suitable discussion therefore has decided to place here. 
     
    In May of this year, we with the wife visited Korea. And in Seoul have decided to glance in Coffee Terior. Though didn't plan it in advance as I have forgotten about this cafe. It has turned out to make it twice :-) For the first time even saw in cafe of several admirers of Kara, in thematic undershirts ("I love Gyuri", for example). They had some meeting. Perhaps they hoped to see YoungJi?) We have a little communicated to parents of YoungJi, in broken English. And by means of the translator on the tablet (from Russian on Korean). It was cheerful)
     
    We thought that this cafe will be something like Starbucks, but everything was much better. I mean kitchen. So, exactly in Coffee Terior we have tasted the most tasty hot chocolate and cold tea of latte, in Korea. Also there was very tasty sweet cheese a pie. Because of him we came back here next day))
     
    Coffee Terior reminds some family (home) cafes in Europe. Very lovely and comfortably. I mean the atmosphere. Of course the surroundings in YoungJi style, does own atmosphere. And also songs of Kara group. When we have come, Cupid sounded. 
     
    This cafe is in the northwest of Seoul, is quite far from usual tourist routes. It is just residential area there. From Eungam metro station to go about seven minutes.

  10. When/How Did You Become a KARA Fan?

    Likely I here one such to whom the beginning is pleasant creativity of Kara, after disbandment of group. 

     

    It of course has occurred through YoungJi. I was not the great admirer of a variety show and reality show. But I watched Roommate because of Nana (from Orange Caramel, my favorite band in K-Pop). The first season not too was pleasant to me, and I didn't want to watch the second. But I have decided to look at the first series. And there I have seen YoungJi :-)   

     

    Earlier I had to listen to songs Kara. Generally period of 2010-2013. They a little me clung, with rare exception (Hanabi, Endless Night). Songs of the period of 2014-2015, I have decided to listen already because of YoungJi. These songs were pleasant to me much more, especially Mamma Mia, Cupid and Summer Magic. It was the music in the European dance-pop style reminding Kylie Minogue, Bananarama or even Ace of Base. What was pleasant to me.

    It is interesting why YoungJi for execution choose old songs Kara? It seems to me, it was more correct to choose songs from "YoungJi era", that is from albums "Day & Night", "In Love" and "Girl's Story". 

     

    Probably it is connected with choreography: YoungJi acted together with April, on a scene 5 girls turned out. It was possible to repeat Kara-5 choreography completely. In songs of "YoungJi era", there were only 4 participants: it should change choreography for 5 participants, that is think up separate dance. And it doesn't make sense to do it for especially for meeting.

     

    It is interesting to watch video of joint performances YoungJi and April. As it looks as YoungJi fits into a visual image April. Considering as their concepts strongly differ.

    Look nowhere, here is an idol who will lift up her skirt to show the bruises on her knee.

    And I love it when 0G gave "the look" at her manager. (I meant in a good way.)

    The fans who always follow 0G (almost everywhere) really take it as a full-time job!

    That's a lot of commitments!

     

    I remember Nana (from Orange Caramel) showed the bruises on her legs, after difficult practice of dances on a pole for the clip "First Love" :-) The truth it was unsuccessful idea as netizens have begun to spread rumors about other reason of these bruises. 
     
    I very much hope that YoungJi as long as possible will keep the simple and direct behavior. Even some relations of familiarity to admirers. That her interest in popularity and reaction of her admirers will remain. 
     
    I just remember some similar photos and video of other girls from Kara. On their faces it was read: "as we were tired of all this!". They can be understood: seven-eight years of continuous performances, variety show, meetings, etc. Taking into account mad schedules in K-Pop. They the truth could be tired and lose former interest, though tried to disguise it.

    Youngji with dark-brown/black hair looks younger than her Baby Kara pictures, how's that possible :wow2:

    Youngji really looks so beautiful in every hair colour. Unless I'm mistaken, this is the first time after her debut that she's went back to her natural hair colour, right?

     

    Frankly speaking, I don't remember that saw such hair color at YoungJi earlier. On KARA Project her hair were lighter. Most of all I liked chestnut color of her hair which were at her during her debut and on the show Roommate. They so emphasized her identity.
     
    YoungJi really looks isn't more senior than girls on KARA Project. But only visually. In two years of her manner, ability to keep on public very much have changed. Practically there are no shyness left and uncertainty. Though her behavior still a little fondly and directly that of course pleases. It is her feature. But she controls the feelings and emotions much more now. I remember what difference in behavior was between YoungJi and Sohyun in Chamsonyeo. Despite identical age, Sohyun looked then much more mature. Just as Lizzy. And now on the show "Idol Intern King", YoungJi and Sohyun looked already almost equally.         
     
    It is possible to tell that YoungJi has quickly grown from maknae role :-)

    OHYA E18 Last Episode 0G Cut

     

    It is amusing. As I already wrote earlier, the role of YoungJi is very similar to Goo Hara role in "City Hunter". The character of Goo Hara there becomes at the end a barista. The character of YoungJi repeats this way :-)
     
    It was pleasant that in the last YoungJi series have provided three-four times more broadcasting time, than usually. And YoungJi hasn't forced anybody to regret about it: the moments with her were very ridiculous and lovely.  
     
    It seems to me, it is possible to make separate mini-series of the character of Ahn Na (in a format web series), spin-off of the main series. Such "situation comedy", about life of the young and positive, but strange girl.

    YoungJi role in series "Another Oh Hae Young", reminds me Goo HaRa role in series "City Hunter": in both cases there are no big semantic loading and influence on a plot, but their emergence is funny diluted by monotony of the narration. At the same time their heroines are similar: excentric girls with glamour impurity, silly on the first impression, but this impression it is deceptive. It is a pity that very small doses they are shown. Though, considering lack of serious actor's experience, on another can't be.

    Probably over Seoul again a smoky smog from China. Koreans at least so speak  -_-

     

    When in May we were with the wife on holiday in Korea, we walked on this embankment a little. It in the business district of Seoul which actually is the island (small Manhattan). On the embankment it is possible to bypass all island around. But we couldn't make it as that day was very hot, and my wife doesn't transfer hot weather.
