watched the latest roommate (the 2nd part of christmas party) and login here specifically to post here.
watching her interaction with others on roommate as well as how she introduced herself as jackson's best friend, once again warmed my heart.
i'm really thankful how she got lots of opportunities and by that gaining lots of new friends.
it's easy to see from the list of people she is following in twitter, start from roommate cast members, and then king of ratings, and now from hitmaker.
she got some same age friend (jackson, sohyun) and seniors as well as older sister (sunny, gna) even seniors from other fields who takes care of her (jongok, seho, etc)
i mean, i clearly remember once Jiyoung talked that f(x)'s Sulli was her first friend since debut, which means she doesn't has any real 'friends' for more than a year within the industry. exactly like how hara said that once she was a new member too and she knows how hard it can be so she takes care of her a lot.
so i'm really glad youngji able to get lots of new friends quickly and although maybe they are not that close enough yet but she got 3 dependable onnies within kara.
i don't even care about achievements etc, looking at how she made friends and stays happy (and be true to herself) is more than enough for me
in the same way, as a fan of got7 even before roommate, i also glad to see jackson got a really good friend in youngji. i know well his loneliness and how much it means to have a good close friend. (and i really loved how seho's parent takes care of him too)
the way i see it, her tears wasn't simply a tears of someone touched by the scene in front of her, but it's more like a tears of someone who understand his hardship and how much it means to him, something that can only happen if you have strong bond.
i don't care whether they are dating or not, i simply wish their friendship to lasts long.

BTW, what did Sunny mean when she said Youngji could grow hair on her butt? was that another mistranslation or was that a joke thing? coz i don't get it
they did said "인도 사람 (read: Indo saram)" which people tend to misunderstand it as Indonesia since it sounds similar. in fact, indonesian people often refer to themselves as "orang Indo", so it's easy to get confused
as for what Sunny said.. it's kinda hard to express it in english since it's more like a korean saying which kinda hard to find the equivalent english expression. i don't fully understand it either, but anyway i'll try to explain it:
so she said "영지야, 엉덩이에 뿔났겠다 울다 웃어서"
the basic thing first she basically says "Youngji, you keep on crying and laughing again and again, 엉덩이에 뿔났겠다"
엉덩이에 뿔났겠다 <-- it's the korean phrase.
first, 엉덩이 means butt.
뿔 means horn.
났겠다 means it'll appear. not literally, just for expression.
so literally, it means "horns will grow on your butt" (what? it still doesn't make sense)
yeah, i know. but basically, it's a saying to say that if you do something, you will get something in return, like karma.
example:
when a child doesn't listen to their parents, their parents will say this to their children:
"if you don't listen to mom's words, 엉덩이에 뿔난다"
so why sunny said this to youngji? beats me. my guess is, youngji is being weird, in a good way, for crying, laughing, crying, laughing again so she teased her (playfully of course) that something will happen if she keeps being like that.
sorry, i know it doesn't really makes it clear, but i hope it does help a little bit.
korea has a lot of proverbs and saying that they often use that is hard to express it in english or any other language.
btw, i really like the way they treated youngji when she cried, esp seho. i'm the type of person who prefer someone to comfort me like that when i'm stressed out rather than being over pitied at. that's me though

finally watched the epi with hara.. (real life kinda hectic last couple of weeks)
must say that at least hara looks like she is really taking care of youngji and and find her precious and vice versa.
the more i watch it, the more i like roommate, in fact i found roommate is currently the number 1 show that i'm waiting for every week.
it's the same with youngji, the more i watch her here, the more i love her
one thing that i'm curious, hara looks kinda 'shocked' to see how youngji wraps her eel. does that means they still haven't got the opportunity to go out eat together yet?
btw, if you watch the video with subs from dramafever, on this ep (ep 9) there are 2 mistakes.
(spoiler)
1. when the family went to learn pansori, and ryohei tried to do one of the tech, they teased him saying that "He's from Indonesia" (around 30" mark)
in korean language there are 2 similar country names:
a. 인도 read: INDO. which means INDIA.
b. 인도네시아 read: INDONESIA. which means of course INDONESIA.
and they said INDO here, so it should be "Ryohei is from India."
2. when Nana talked with Hara and they asked whether Nana is the older one and they said they are same age friend. after that Nana said according to DramaFever "I'm far-sighted" (around 56" marks)
actually she said 난 노안이야, which means "i look older than my age."
since she looks older, she and hara doesn't looks like they are the same age.
just two things that i think mistranslated quite bad, the rest is fine though. i always use dramafever subs and so far they are doing good job, even if there are any mistakes, usually nothing too serious or bring weird meaning
(unlike the other sub-team who subbing the running show)

just watched Ep 4 & 5 (i'm late i know) and i feel really proud and glad to see how youngji never fail to do the 100 degrees greetings.
esp on ep 5, on the opening of bae jongok's acting class, she bowed the deepest and sat down the latest.
yet at the same time she also became more relaxed with the others. just like how she was afraid to approach sunny on ep 1 but now she able to tease her even (yet still maintaining her respect). another evidence is how she is more comfortable with jackson too as a same age friend. it's not too obvious in english, but if you understand korean (sorry) you will notice the difference. one of the example is when youngji went to market with jackson and gukju and gukju acting jealous, the way she said to jackson "you don't have phone", it was really the way someone said to his/her friends.
another thing that i noticed during the acting class. the second part where they closed their eyes and tried to act the description, i think youngji did the "worst", idk, it looks like she can't get the feel.
however when she was doing the act with jackson, she acted it quite well imo

I feel super conflicted that I can't call her "eonni" like other KARA members, for the simple reason that she's about a month and a half younger than me. I've no idea what to call her!
why? you can simply call her by name. especially since 1.5 month younger that means you are a same-age friend
or if you want it to be a little bit korean-like, you can call her youngji-ya (영지야) ^^

141023 Staff-Diary on DSPGirls Fan Café
the pattern is one staff diary every fortnight.
this time, all 6 are mentioned though we only see 4.
i don't think i'll translate it this time.. there's no really important things anyway.
basically the staff playing 'catch the hidden baby kara member'.
so they found shiyoon were practicing and yuji studying japanese.
then they found chaekyoung and somin (the one without face) eating eggs.
after that yuji eating dinner which was chicken breast.
they said sojin and chaewon were on their way (to dsp office) so they can't find them
that's all.

even if it's true she's transferring, i don't think we should be 'mad' about it. after all transferring isn't solely DSP's decision. and it's a common practice for trainees to transfer here and there, the list is really long. and as long as she able to debut (or make herself known), why not?
assuming that it's true, i'm 'proud' of DSP for not being stubborn and interfering with her dream by letting her go.

red, oh yeah, that's right. it's a pleasant to listen to her voice again even though it's not much.

a new family has came to our house~
as you can see in the picture, they are the colorful and cute fishes!
they came into our house^^
they are really cute and pretty, aren't they??haha
the babies are really active! and the eat rea~lly well!
every morning right after i wake up, i give them food since i think they will be hungry..
however they eat a lot like they have been starved for couple of days haha
even then, looking how they eat well i'm really happy and satisfied~^^
