I know im a bit late to express how happy iam for my angel's come back and thyey're going on a masculine look, its a big WOW!i just love how KARA pull themselves away with all the other girl groups concepts now a days being sexy and showing some flesh.....don't get me wrong I don't have anything against girl groups showing some body parts because KARA had done it also in their PANDORA era, those sexy backs and their shorts were really SHORT but then having the guts to pull away with whats seems the "IN" CONCEPTS of nowadays was really DAEBAk!!!!!!a woman being a little bit boyish/masculine is way more SEXY and HOTTER to me,(me being a woman is saying this:)KARA will prove them that being sexy and hot is not to show off something but to be able to pull off bravely a new sight in the eyes......cant wait to see them performed the fived of them but can't really wait to see how my HARASSI will do being the the no.1IDEAL WOMAN:)))))))

Kara doesn't have a lot of female fans?  I thought they did.  But I guess it does make sense they're trying to focus on appealing to the Koreans.  I'll just have to be patient for their full international fame lol.

Am I the only one that doesn't think any of them look masculine though?  I just think they're really sexy looking girls in tux. lol.

The last I read, it's like 60 to 40 or 70 to 30 male to female ratio in Korea. Although the uncle fans do spend a lot of money, you need the female (young school girls and young adults) crowd to solidify the fan base. The female fans are more rabid and hard-core. They will spend a LOT of money on their idols. And shield them like crazy from antis.

Although the uncle fans do spend a lot of money, you need the female (young school girls and young adults) crowd to solidify the fan base. The female fans are more rabid and hard-core. They will spend a LOT of money on their idols. And shield them like crazy from antis.

I'm going off topic here a bit, but I agree with this completely. In Japan they have lots of female fans which is why they have lots of endorsements, but in Korea, they lack female fans and it shows with endorsements. Female fans are important because they invest more emotionally and an emotional investment is what causes fan-girls to defend their favorite idols to death and support every thing they do; once you've got a solid female fan-base, you can basically do whatever and be fine. Female fans are important because if they are die-hard stans, when you endorse something, they will buy it. SNSD has lots of endorsements because they have a lot of female fans. Lots of girls will buy the things they endorse because guys like them and girls want to look like the girls that guys like.

Relying on "uncle" fans is hard; sure they spend tons of money but they don't invoke the same "fandom" spirit that younger fans can and it often makes it seem like KARA has a weaker or smaller fan-base; KARA doesn't do great in online polls and they don't get mentioned a whole lot in forums either.  It's just that "uncle" fans don't have time to really be fans of idols, they have jobs and families. Perfect example is Kim Hee Sun and her husband. He's an uncle fan of KARA but he also has a busy job as a surgeon and I'm sure he doesn't troll the internet defending KARA in online forums and voting on online polls.

Guy's like KARA but it doesn't illicit the same "copy-KARA" reaction as it does with SNSD. I think it also has to do with the age of fans who support KARA. Lots of male (and female) idols vocally support SNSD, and thats the age-range/ideal guy that girls that age are going for. KARA doesn't have many vocal male idol supporters. They have a lot of vocal "uncle" supporters but idol fangirls don't want "uncle" boyfriends. They want Taecyeon, Nichkhun, Minho and such. KARA is known as a very attractive group though and I think criticism tends to over-flow for them. Though netizens accuse groups like SNSD and T-ara for relying on appearances, they definitely consider KARA a group with ONLY appearance to offer. It's whatever though.

Anyways, I'm way excited about the 4th album. I hope it's similar to break-it. I'm glad KARA went back to the covered up side. Kamilia seem to be the only fandom that don't really like when our girls wear "daring" outfits. But KARA doesn't need skin to win! They did it with Lupin and Break-It so I'm more than certain they can do it again.

^^^ You make a very valid point.  Girls tend to be much more dedicated (to the point of crazy) because they're just more emotionally vested than guys.

Anyways, back on track.  I don't really know if I'll like Kara going towards the Break-it style.  I can't see them fitting that hard-*** style.  They are girls next door, your common girl type.  I want them to stay relate-able.  But I'll keep faith, after all, they can pull off any style.

I want to mention something related to SNSD. They have a huge fan base; last I heard was over 400k or something a few years ago. So, things are not going to change so fast but i've read they r loosing fans. I don't know if true but I read that their various Korean sites and forums are going quiet for some reason.

Sorry for the confusion, but Thank You Summer Love should only have one thread. I'll fix that right now.

. . . . . KAMILIAS!!! Who would participate in a bulk buy for this Korean Comeback???

Only discussing it for now, but a bulk buy can help our girls with their points on several broadcast music shows..

I would love to participate in the bulk buy for their Korean Comeback. I just inform us if there will be a bulk buy. I'm so excited for this and I can't wait any longer. ^_^

Off Topic:

I have to disagree. Do you hear the chantings while their on stage? Going back to SISTAR (because I'm a big fan and I don't know many other female groups), when they came back with Give It To Me, I remember they went against with male groups with a big female fandom and still bit their as*, although their fandom are almost guys (if you hear the chantings) and not only that of course. I'm sure KARA will be fine. Isn't reasanoble even that they have a bigger male fandom than girl fandom. Though the girls might want to be like them, a lot of them can be jealous b*tchs. But what do I know? I don't want to compare them with SNSD -.-' I get pissed off when someone does.

In Topic:

So, they're holding their show before the release of the Album?

A long name, Can't be a Lady. Curious..

Runaway (One of the Two) remind of The Two of Us.

It seems DSP really try something new for this comeback.

Now anyone know Shiem Eun Ji? I'd like to hear his/her style of song..

Wikipedia says she worked on a couple miss A tracks

yes..their TITLE is just really different ..HOPING FOR GOOD for KARA

from jirrit

I think https://twitter.com/eznotes is her Twitter account.

It looks like she composed an IU song titled "I Really Don't Like Her", a miss A track titled "Blankly", a 2PM track titled "One More Day", a Wonder Girls track titled "Girls Girls" and an f(x) track titled "Surprise Party". Assuming Google and Wikipedia have not misled me. This does sound like her highest-profile release so far.

^ Thanks for keeping this thread updated ^_^

I'm really interested in this comeback, they're trying new promotion tactics which is really good to hype up for the title track.

Shim Eunji seems to have worked with many jyp artists and most of her work is promising.

I really can't wait for the pre-release. I also wonder how the title track sounds~
