elisac0
KARA was chosen as the best rookie artist according to a Japanese mobile ringtone site, Recochoku. The site revealed their 2010 yearly chart rankings on December 1st and revealed that KARA had knocked out the other rookie artists to grab the #1 title. KARAs Japanese single, Mister, is currently ranked #1 in their music video chart, #2 in their video chart, and #5 in their ringtone chart. KARAs second Japanese single, Jumping, entered the top three in Recochokus ringtone chart on November 10th and is now ranked #1 and #4 in ringtones, #1 in video, and #2 in music video. Recochoku is a highly popular site amongst Japanese teens and young adults in their 20s that enjoy decorating their phones. KARAs two singles have both been hits as ringtones, showing that the group is appealing to the Japanese youth. On the other hand, the groups first official Japanese album, Girls Talk, managed to sell 107,403 copies within its first week. The group is currently preparing for their Japanese drama, URAKARA, set to air this coming January. KARA’s two singles have both been hits as ringtones, showing that the group is appealing to the Japanese youth. Rookie artist? Felt like it had been 3 years. They had a great fresh beginning again this time in Japan. Even though Kara is not rank number one in the oricon charts this number 1 video really speaks volume. That meant that many Japanese people know about Kara. Looks like "Kara" is the "in" thing among the young now. Got to get their ringtone too.
