  1. I think she's probably referring to cortisone shots, which is a way of combating acne. And with HD you can't really hide acne problems under makeup anymore. Botox would be an odd choice for her given that she seems quite proud of her natural beauty due to her not having to go under the knife. And while botox isn't actually surgery, the end result from having too many injections will make your face look very unnatural. You'll see many older Hollywood actresses whose facial expressions look very stiff and unnatural due to botox abuse.
  2. hello!! happy birthday!! xD

  3. I'm not really sure if it's any political issue that's causing the lack of promotion, but i'm pretty sure that people are referring to the current Dokdo/Takeshima Island dispute. Things have gotten pretty nasty over it and KARA were even asked about it, but smartly dodged the question (which did upset some people since they didn't take sides). A lot of us on the outside really don't understand why two countries would let a tiny island continue to divide them. There are a lot worse issues that have gone on with Japan and Korea in the past, and I guess this only helps to fan those flames.
  4. Welcome to Karaholic. The magic of KARA awaits.

  5. Japanese sales often depend heavily on the amount of promotion an artist can receive. It's especially important to get ahead of the single in the sense of doing a lot of promotions prior to its release. Sales tend to be frontloaded for the first week, so you really want to shoot yourself out the gate. I think this in general is a big hurdle for foreign artists since they're bouncing back and forth between their home country and Japan doing various promotions for different singles and albums. It's just hard to really establish your name there when you're having to bounce back and forth. So, I don't think that there's anything really concerning about Electric Boy's sales. It just means that they need to be much more aggressive with their future promotions. And they really need to continue doing fan events. It's hard to emphasize how important those are to establishing your name in Japan.
