  1. At least this time they're going through with the show.

This is just my opinion and thought process but I can see why DSP is doing this despite the objections (I'm assuming there's pobably objections). Pushing new recruits in to the spotlight of an already major established group means drawing already existing fans to become acquainted with the two new members for future savior. Consdering our three girls have two years with DSP, and half of this year is already almost over, they only have a year and a half to salvage as much as they can. Many have stated already that after the two years who knows what will happen, the three girls can easily pick up and leave DSP. No more orginal members, therefore nothing to anchor down the group. DSP is probably hoping the two new girls will achieve the same popularity individually like our girls so they can carry on, not nessecarily as Kara, but just the fame to continue DSP's "fame". Goodness knows they're still struggling with Rainbow and A-Jax. This can simply be a business strategy and I don't blame them to do so. They are a company that needs to stay afloat to survive and if that means tickering with their main source of income, then why not. I think this is why they remain as a privately owned company, there's no other outsider opinions to persuade or object to their decisions.

  2. Auditions? DSP, work on the remaining trainees that you have and prep them for a debut before you take on more than you can handle. Majority of your trainees will end up leaving your company for another one before they debut anyway. And with the result of Kara, is this really a good time to be recruiting? Will anyone really apply with this type of track record?... Seeing them not include JiYoung and Nicole in Kara's picture is quite disheartening. I mean, JiYoung is still technically part of the group, her contract ends in April, it's still March. Makes me think that the split wasn't amicable. Were bridges burnt?

And the promotional video, I get it, Nicole and soon to be JiYoung is no longer under your agency but give them some respect and showcase them individually as a member of your number one group. They did their part during their time under your guidance too. I know that DSP is just showcasing who is still under their agency, but still it would have been nice for them to acknowledge that Nicole and JiYoung were part of them, as a thank you of some sort. Now I just think they're just holding a grudge. I don't know, I feel a bit wronged by that promotional video that they purposely didn't include the two departed members.

On the other hand I can see why DSP did what they did. I guess they didn't want to give fans hope that maybe the two will be back.

  3. I really want to know if this is how the new head of the company is dealing with this whole issue. You know, the guy that was formally at SBS. Wasn't he brought in from the 2011 incident to ease the tension from both sides? What is his part now, has he become more of the wife's worker, looking out more for her benefit rather than the company and the girls? I'm just really curious about this. I'm really trying to keep myself silent until everything is fully figured out but it's just really confusing and I guess unusual. Everything is playing out quite odd to me.

  4. Probably just me reading too much in to this, but I find it oddly funny. In all of the DSP Festival promotional videos, every single member in each group get to say something, a line of their own, but with Kara you see Nicole and JiYoung quietly standing and just smiling. Considering the situation, I can understand why, but I still find it funy... hahaha...

  5. Here is what I don't understand. After the contract dispute in 2011, there was a new "boss" in charge, correct? I understand that at the end of the day he works for the owner(s), that would include the wife, but wasn't he brought in to smooth things out for both sides? If the "bad blood" between the two sides still exist then what is/has he been really doing? Of course i understand the wife would have a say but wasn't he brought in to run the business properly? With a mindset of business being the main goal, then why would he not try to compromise the situation and concrete his main income? Seriously, there's many unanswered issues here and not just the main focus, which is Nicole and her final decision.

  6. It's obvious why they removed SS501, they shouldn't have promoted the group from the beginning. It just made people think that there was a possibility of the whole group reuniting. There are members who has enlisted, so there wasn't going to be a chance for them to appear. They should have just promoted who they had now and just leave the "And more..." as the mystery for the fans.

  7. Kara, Rainbow, A-Jax, and Oh Jong Hyuk are the obvious confirmations because they are still active under DSP. SS501 won't be reunited as a group fully because one member just enlisted while another is currently in the midst of his duties, that leaves the other three to possibly make appearances and perform their soloes. The only old time group I see having a possiblity of reuniting is FinKL since all members are still currently active in the entertainment field and they've gather together before. If not, I can see HyoRi making an appearance to show her support. I can also see Eun Ji Won making an appearance to show support as well. The "and more..." part has possibilities of introductions to new groups/trainees that DSP plans to debut in the near future. I really hope Puretty will get their time on stage as well.

  8. I'm excited to see that DSP is finally planning and even going through with a family concert. My only issue is the timing in which this concert is plan for. Was this something that was in talks for and plan way ahead of time or is it something that has been thrown together last minute because of occuring issues within the company and this is a saving grace/last resort attempt to save face for the company. And with the possible inclusion of previous artistes that have been with the company, it has piqued my interest even more. I wonder if @ultraman88 would know more insider information on this.

  9. Very impress with Mister. I'm more surprise with Jumping actually, but of course since Japan is the majority, it's not too surprising. Take solace in the fact that Gee was released at the beginning of 2009 (end of January, beginning of February I think) and Mister was released in August or September and Kara still takes the lead... hahaha... But seems to me that the girls haven't or aren't really seeing the fruits of their labour base on this statistic alone, if you know what I mean, but that's just me.

  10. Aw... She got to hang out with Nana as well, and I guess Raina too. Regarding Sistar's venue, they're popular but not to the level where they'll be able to fill a full stadium. When it comes to girl groups, not many can. It took Kara fives years before holding a stadium/arena concert, I don't think even Wonder Girls have manage to do that either, even 2NE1. The only girl group that has is SNSD and then Kara.

  11. At least JooWon acknowledged that they worked on photoshoots together, unlike Hammie who seems a bit forgetful. Maybe she's just playing hard to get... hahaha... I can see them dating right now in secret and this is their indirect/subtle way of saying they're happy with each other... hahaha,,, He does look a bit like Kang DongWon, and we all know how much Hammie loves him.

  12. That article about Joo Won; SeungYeon, you've met him already, you even worked with him on a photoshoot, a few actually. Oh, you girl. This girl has worked with some handsome actors before they became big stars, I wonder if she stayed in contact with any of them. Clearly Joo Won isn't one of them. I'm wondering about Kim SooHyun, from their SSGB days.

  13. I've already said my piece in previous posts but I felt like I should say this now. It might come off sounding hypocritical, and I agree, but I feel like it should be said.

Sometimes people, especially fans, get a bit too emotionally involved and attached to their favorite group, singer, or idols' lives that it seems as if they are directly involved in it. They have their lives, you have yours, I think they're capable enough to hold their own without outside parties getting involved. Concentrate on your lives before concentrating on theirs'. Your invesment on hoping to change their minds to certain important decisions in their lives can result in disappointment and even heartbreak. At the end of they day, just go with the flow. "Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, the future is not ours to see..."

Just my little two cents, well another one anyway, after what I had posted already.

Now is another fan mode opinion... hahaha... I don't get how it's not possible for Nicole to have dual agencies. Ga-In of Brown Eyed Girls does. You can have the same argument for her, why not stay with her group agency but rather go to another agency for solo activities? And besides, as of right now LOEN is DSP distributor, they have their own artist agencies, why not allow Nicole to persue her individual activities under LOEN, at least then DSP still somewhat has a stake in it. And she's not going to a competing agency but rather a partnering company/distributor. Right? Correct if I'm wrong.

  14. Again, this is when we all should just sit back and wait until everything is settled and things are confirmed from all parties involved.

For a company that never or rarely ever does any media play, they chose the wrong time and most inappropriate situation to do so. Everything right now should be kept private and behind closed doors.

Concerning Nicole's mom's connections. I don't follow her mom on twitter or instagram, but I don't see anything wrong with someone posting pictures of people they know. Most of the time I see Nicole appearing on shows and the people that her mom knows happens to be there, they're the ones talking about how they know Nicole and her mom. And it's great to see her mom supporting her and actually looking out for heer best interest, But I do agree on her mom's influence on Nicole. Nicole needs to step away from that a bit more and start being more independant and making her own decisions, especially in a crucial moment like this. Nicole needs to remember that she's the one in the group, not her mom.

And I'm reading how people are saying DSP is punishing Nicole for the 2011 incident because it was her mom who initiated the issue. DSP needs to grow up if they're thinking that. Her mom is a seperate person who made the decision on her daugther's behave because she thought that was what was best at that time. The situation was settled so they need to know that Nicole is the one working for you, not her mom. They need to differentiate and not make Nicole get stuck in the middle. If anything, I can see why Nicole might not want to continue with DSP, solely because of this. She's potentially feeling awkward being stuck in between her mom and her agency.

Not sure if any of that made sense. But again, this is all assumptions and speculation, which should not be happening right now since we don't know the full story... hahaha...

  15. My initial reaction to all these news was complete shock. I was literally pulling my hair. Nicole was the last member for me to think of leaving first, even with the issues during 2011. And I wanted to keep my opinions to myself until things are made cleared but of course it will be hard to keep mum about such a situation.

I agree with majority of my fellow Kamilias about not jumping to conclusion until Nicole herself speaks up about it, because I do agree with the whole announcing this during this crucial time, their tour will probably be a bit awkward and fans and especially anti-fans alike will run rampant in trying to find signs of discord, they will dissect every little single thing at the concert and then some.

But if I may play devil’s advocate for a moment here, to those who seems to be placing blame on DSP and their management of Nicole individually, do consider their situation as well. Like someone said, this is a business and in business it all comes down to the money. It’s about your worth, you are a product to them, they might treat you as the best of the best, like royalties, but at the end of the day you are a product. And if you’re not bringing in the money then there’s no point in keeping you. Yes, after the whole 2011 issue the girls might have their say in what they want to do as a group or with individual activities but DSP still has the control. Maybe DSP did give Nicole the chances to have solo activities but she probably didn’t want to do what they had lined up for her, for own personal reasons, but if I were DSP and I’m giving her options and she continuously denies each and every single one then why should I continue to offer her more options when I have others who are willing and ready to do it. That and the fact that she might have probably did all those other activities on her own with her own connections and not with DSP’s influences, that can be a blow to an agencies’ ego when their growing artist has their own connections that is far higher than themselves.

I don’t want to sound negative but with what the translated news has reported, DSP did say “…team will not be disbanded and will continue to promote domestically as well as overseas.” But it doesn’t indicate it being as a group or as individuals but still under the Kara name. Again, I might be second guessing here. I can see this turning into another Finkl situation in which the group was “unofficially” disbanded as the members concentrated on individual activities; an indefinite hiatus. And if they look for new members, it would be quite disheartening but I can see all idol wannabes and/or trainees everywhere jumping and clawing their way to audition to be in the group. Who wouldn’t with the group’s success thus far.

On another perspective, Nicole might just want to let go of this idol life and just rest for a bit. I’m just worry about the dynamic at the concert and how emotional the girls will be. Knowing Nicole, she would probably still continue giving her all with that bright smile of hers’ but deep down, if all of this is true, she is crying a river inside. If she rarely ever cries than I think this will be the moments in which we will all see her cry the most out of everyone.

Yes, I agree that it is Nicole’s choice to make about what she wants to do with her life. She and only she know what’s best for her. Even if her mom has some influence, at the end of the day it’s ultimately her choice to make. Sometimes it does get to a point when you feel you’ve accomplished all you needed to accomplish in this chapter of your life so it’s time to move on to something else, maybe something greater and better.

I knew this day would come but I didn’t expect our girls to be the first to do so.

  16. I'm gonna take a gamble and say they won last week's Music Bank. All the numbers pretty much factors in for their win on Music Bank for that week. If anything, there's a possibility that they will this week as well. The other music shows will be a bit more of a stretch especially since it relies mostly on votes and digital counts.

  17. They were on happy together? I love that show. I wonder if Nicole made a dish f9r the late night kitchen.

I don't think they were guests on Happy Together. It was just their song that got featured during the ending credits. I think edr was just listing the shows that featured their songs during the show, mostly the ending credits.

But I would love to see them back on Happy Together again. I was hoping for them to guest during Pandora promotion, but nothing. I hope they do so for this promotional cycle.

  18. Here is my thought, though a lot of us say that sales doesn't matter (all we need to do is just enjoy the releases), I agree but at the end of the day numbers still linger somewhere in our mind. This is a good example of "too much too soon" or "too much of a good thing." It seems to me that their seems to be a lack of communication between UMJ and DSP, two full album releases that coincide within each other? Isn't that a bit of a bad marketing choice on their part? The promotional cycle are clashing. It's like we're getting mixed messaging. In Japan we have innocent, cute, feminine image that Kara promotes and then suddenly at the same time in Korea they have a strong, fierce, womanly concept. It wouldn't be bad if it was at different times like with Pandora and Girls Forever but having it at the same time can be a bit of a confusion for fans and possible new fans to follow, it's like "who is Kara, really?". And as of right now it seems to me that their Korean comeback is overshadowing their Japanese promotions. UMJ might be in charge of their Japanese releases and DSP needs to concentrate on Korea but I would think some say should be made about the release date. And looking at the decline of the albums one after another, I would think they would learn their lesson, everything just seems so rushed each time. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but there seems to be some issues that needs to be sorted out. Again just my thoughts on this situation.
