KARA is that one group where I just love all of the members equally (maybe Seungyeon a bit more because I got into KARA because of her lol)

seungyeonburger changed their profile photo

They were versatile.

Favourite song from KARA's 4th Album [Full Bloom]
Li Xin replied to paul2227's topic in Discussionbox Archive
Didn't like this album to be honest. Damaged Lady was good. -
Yea, SeungYeon. I feel like she was doing a lot of promoting after their debut album didn't get the reception it deserved.
-
I think Nicole. Definitely not SeungYeon.

hara = babyface jiyoung = baby

Hard to rank them. Gyuri, Hara, and Seungyeon are my favorites but I like nicole, youngji and jiyoung also. Didn't see too much of sunghee.

Rank all the KARA Members!

I must have voted for Nicole #1, but since people are voting Jing/Youngji, I'll change my vote to Nicole/Sunghee #1. -
that's freakin' amazing...

What is Your First Reaction if Received KARA Latest Album
K-PopPopPop replied to viperion's topic in Discussionbox Archive
I'm more interested in their back-catalogue than latest albums -
I think this reunion and release brought a lot of hope to see older groups and established fans being rewarded with similar in the future... But, Kara was particularly successful in both Korea and Japan at the time -- so maybe not every group will have this luck.
-
Depends on the make ups
-
Nah; A group is the sum of its parts. You can't try and say any 'one' is more valuable than another.
-
Whose voices can you distinguish?
K-PopPopPop replied to chupachups's topic in Discussionbox Archive
Nicole, Hara, Seungyeon. I think Gyuri too; the Killing Voice performance really helped solidify being able to ID the individuals. -
IY was - again - interesting to watch for this reason; Hara at first seemed very reserved, but over time became much more comfortable. So, with that said - I think it will always depend on the context the members find themselves in.
-
Definitely was going down a different path stylistically; at the time, I wasn't a huge fan... but then kpop did it's thing, and I really like it for what it is now
-
I never much thought about 'leaders' in groups; I mean, sure they're there... but it seems semi-redundant, as at the end of the day the manager and the label basically controls you. This was especially true when Kara was taking their label to court, without the leader... It's wild seeing the 'reasoning' behind some of the choices here - screen time, 'appearance' of age, or assertiveness. None bad - just kind of interesting to see what different people think are prominent 'leadership' qualities
-
Well, it was explained in first post; But it's a weird line in the sand... I'm sure many 'new fans' would be an 'original fan' if they had the opportunity to hear Kara at that time

"follow me" has a nice chilled vibe to it... "1+1" has that more iconic 'Kara' sound -
I think it's interesting how groups these days will set out to be classed as one particular 'type'; Kara - like many of second gen - did a good job of mixing up 'images' - styles, look, genres. I think it kept it interesting for the fans, for the idols themselves - and gave them more experience as they would develop to a point they could be involved in the albums (styling, design, and even music comp)
