Wow! Some serious competition! DIVA are the least successful AKB sub-unit but they are already promoting this song and it's a tie-in to the Ultraman film; Namie doesn't sell singles the way she used to but her most recent single was her most successful in ages and has been a digital monster; SCANDAL are promoting this single a lot and it's the new theme for Bleach anime. IU is an unknown quantitiy but I think she will appeal to japanese fans but then again solo females aren't doing well in J-pop right now. I sill thnk KARA can get no.2 if they promote well and the song/s are good . I do wonder when they can start promoting though with Goddess Leader unable to speak at the moment and Nicole's injury

Gyuri looked lovely and her solo looked amazing. I hope the surgery goes well. It's come at the right time as she won't have her MC activities and KARA aren't doing any promotions until April so she can finally properly rest her voice but it won't be enough time will it, of she supposed to rest it for 3 months?

AVEX kind of suck for promotions nowadays especially for the Korean groups (TVXQ being the obvious exception). Really don't want to see KARA going with them

Um...no need to be making threats . Gyuri dealt with the anti in a witty, classy way and set them straight. Threatening Ki Sung Yong just because of some delusional fan is just as low as that idiot insulting our Gyuri because of her harmless comment. It is not the kind of behaviour Gyuri would want from Kamilias.

@elisac0: I didn't even realise that the footballer was the same one Gyuri had mentioned before until I saw your post. Hopefully, no one makes a fuss about it or says anything bad about Gyuri. If Jung Hyung Don hadn't decided to play that silly trick on Gyuri probably no-one would have even paid attention to her mention of him. I think Gyuri and DSP must be unaware of the controversy (I just looked at the date that football controversy happened and it was less than a week after the whole horrible lawsuit issue started when Gyuri and DSP were totally blindsided so they would definitely have been concentrating on other things at the time). OK now back to positive thoughts: Gyuri looked gorgeous on the show, Japanese fans love and the bit with her and BYG was so funny and adorable! Usaully I roll my eyes when Korean variety shows talk about seeing another side of celebrites because they're all so scripted and fake but I really DO think this show allows people to see another side of our Gyuri goddess (Although I'd still rather she was resting and allowing her vocal cords to heal! )

@ elisac0: Oh I remember that controversy. She's been friends with him for ages hasn't she? Long before any of that stuff happened so I hope his actions last year wouldn't reflect back on her . Anyone can see that Gyuri has a great respect and affection for Japan and Japanese people. Even in this very episode of the show with the way she greeted the Japanese fans so happily and gratefully.

As I don't speak Korean I didn't know what Gyuri said about the footballer on lullulalla but JiRaJjang01 explained in the Shoutbox: So cool that the Japanese tourists recognised her and Bang Yong Guk is so cute but that thing with the octopus was gross reminded me of the film Oldboy!

I feel the same way. I wonder how exactly she is going to sing during the concerts with the current condition of her thtoat. Concerts are hard enough on the throat when the performer is in good health.

Don't know what to think about this to be honest. Personally I think they should be concentrating on their tour, solidifying their status as a group in Korea after the contract nastiness last year and the success of STEP album and carry on taking advantage of their amazing success and momentum in Japan. But perhaps this is a bid to change the image of KARA as a mediocre group after all that stuff last year about them being the worst singing girl group and that U-Kiss producer insulting them. To show that they all have various talents.

That's terrible! Poor Bada . This musical is really making the female cast suffer. I hope the same as you that Gyuri doesn't go back. Her voice sounds really different at the moment even when she is just talking due to the harm to her vocal cords. She needs to rest her voice. Best wishes to Bada.
