  1. ^Agreed! Keep the momentum going and continue releasing original Japanese songs. Don't revert back to rehashing previously released singles. Include it as a bonus track or regular track on an album sure, but not as a lead single release.
  2. neris! OMG! How could I forget about that potential boyfriend. He would be perfect for her as well... hahaha... Nicole looked amazing during their performances. I preferred her collaboration dress to her red carpet one. Her strut on the stage to tease the boys, loved it! As if to say, "come here boys, see see no touch. You want it? Well, you can't have it."... hahaha... I'm quite disappointed as well at the camera work during the performance, cutting away from her dance break, like seriously! She is getting quite daring these days with her outfits and the backless styles. So far gone are the days of our conservative Cole. I really think she's trying to lure in more attention from her male admirers. Since she wants a boyfriend, I guess she's doing all she can to attract them: "I can be more than just a girl friend, I can be the girlfriend!"... hahaha... I can't wait for what the girls and Nicole will do for the next couple of days of year-end performances! There's always something different each time!
  3. Freakin' ecstatic for the girls! All their hard work is finally paying off. It all led to this point in time! So proud of them. But OMG! Push the concert date back girls. I'll be in Korea at the end of February and it would make my life complete getting a chance to see you live in concert. Push it back for like two weeks!!!... hahaha... Please!!!
  4. Nicole has improved so much with her vocals, I'm so proud of her. I don't know if it's really her or the writers of the show but ever since she started her MCing duties on Inkigayo there has been numerous mentions of her wanting or hoping for a boyfriend. Knowing her as a very private person, I wouldn't think that she would openly say those types of things. But if she really did want a boyfriend then good for her, she's growing up in front of our eyes and becoming more and more of a woman... Maybe seeing Hara and JunHyung she wants what they have eh? Maybe this is one of the reasons why we're seeing more and more of her feminine side, and her wanting to be more feminine. She realizes that you can't always be the best-female-friend anymore... hahaha... She wants to be the girlfriend not the girl friend... hahaha...
  5. I was literally smiling the whole time watching this performance. Kara just has their way of doing so!... The three sounded incredible, Nicole has a real stable control on her voice now, she doesn't go as high and pitchy as she used to. I hope after this the girls will get a chance to be invited to more performances like this. You can tell they put a lot of effort in to this performance, look at how nervous they were. Though they didn't win, it didn't matter, they proved many disbelievers wrong. And their more-than-90-degree bow at the end. Very proud of them!
  6. Totally loved the intro! Is this a possible preview for what we can expect at their end-of-year performances? Excited!!!
  7. I'm really curious now as that what their plans are that causes them to be so busy/booked until April. Year-end shows end at the end of the year, Nicole and Hara has Inkigayo, JiYoung has Invincible Youth 2 and her Rainbow Rose drama, GyuRi has Rulala (spelling?), SeungYeon has Animal Farm. All of which are in Korea, so I don't know what they mean about a packed schedule until April? Hm... Unless they're planning another Japanese single release or possibly a Korean comeback or more solo activities such as movies and dramas... Hm... I'm seriously curious. Will it be music related or acting related? I want to know!... hahaha... DSP might keep Kara over in Japan or out of K-Pop music for a while if they're planning to debut a new group or concentrate on Rainbow. So many assumptions, so many questions, the curiosity is killing me. I want to know now!... hahaha... I don't like these types of news, it just makes me question and anticipate.
  8. Nicole's definitely feeling more at ease with her MC role, she seems a lot more energetic than HaRa and IU today. It was like she could tell they were a bit tire so she tried her best to energize the mood. Love the ending when she kept bowing to everyone that she forgot to stop and end the show... hahaha... So proud of her that not only is she an actress in the movie but she's also their onsite translator... hahaha... It's funny that they say she will not be making any promotional rounds for the movie but they sure are using her small cameo as a way to promote the movie. It's making news everywhere, she's doing interviews and news are reporting it as if she's the main attraction of the movie, it's gotten to the point that her small role is overshadowing the movie itself... hahaha...
  9. Though she doesn't talk much during shows but her expressions and reactions are always highlights and memorable. She's a lady of few words but her face says it all.
  10. I agree, as if to say; since you took the time out to attend the award and put on a spectacular performance for us, we'll give you this award because your popularity out ranks the other nominees at this point in time. A consolation prize if anything. I honesty roll my eyes each time I see them nominated at any of these award shows.
  11. Agreed! I'm tired of stressing over questions of biases and unfair outcomes of results. Kara knows what they're worth and they know how fans truly feel about them. I rather not have them win those awards for reasons that are obvious; it just all feels tainted in the end. These awards gets to the point where it's not even worth attending to receive it knowing how the process is. I seriously still can't get over the policy of "no attendance, no award". What proper award show would do that?! Even if you rightfully and is deserving of the award you won't win it because you won't or can't attend because of prior engagements. It's like, if you want an award, clear your whole schedule and work around our schedule, and while we're at it we'll take advantage of your attendance and make you practice extra routines so you will perform during the show for us on top of what you have to prepare and practice for other engagements already. Success is not measured by awards but by true and honest accomplishments.
  12. It's funny that this article popped up because I was just fully thinking about what their plans would and should be for the upcoming year. And my choice for them was placing their concentration on acting. Since DSP signed a contract with King Kong Entertainment it's only right that they should concentrate their attention and time towards acting, which I'm excited to see. With Hara's debut in City Hunter, JiYoung's role in an upcoming J-Drama, and now Nicole's upcoming cameo in a movie, it's only time until all five girls take over the big and small screens. Rethinking about what it took them to get to this point of their career now, I don't think there's not much I would change for them (other than the departure of SungHee). They might have started off slow under DSP's guidance, but in the end look where it got them now; the number one K-Pop girl group in Japan! Along with numerous other titles that praised them unconditionally. I'm excited for them to take on the world with their world tour plans. A debut in to the Chinese market is quite possible, especially since the release of Step got them a lot of attention from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. I'm hoping and looking forward to big things from them with their plans for international exposures. I don't say this much, and probably many of you as well, have never really consider doing so, but I honestly want to thank DSP now for taking such good care of our girls. Though it took a bit of an "internal family squabble" to "straighten" things out, it all worked out and our girls are now at the top where they truly belong. Let's just hope that this will be a long term continuation of success and growth and not just a momentary lapse of interest.
  13. It's just odd to see her chose a war movie to make her acting debut... hahaha... Saw her more as the romance or comedy type. Another side of Nicole we will soon get to see.
  14. mae, I posted at ournikori already but I'll post it here again... hahaha... Her small appearance is actually getting promoted on the poster, that's quite rare to see especially when it's just a cameo. Now I really don't mind her keeping things so secretive from us because when things are revealed, they're big! I guess she just wants to surprise us. I hope she gets more prominent roles after this. So I guess the next time we see, or should I say don't see, her much we can expect that she's planning, preparing, or doing something big that will excite and surprise us all. I don't know if you guys read the article attached but the director says that the movie was actually filmed from October 2010 for the length of seven months or so. So, from what we know the dispute occurred during the three months period of February, March, and April, Nicole must have filmed her cameo before the dispute occurred so therefore, she was the first girl from the group to truly have debut as an actor. Unless she did her cameo during the dispute in which DSP had no control over what she did. Hm... Quite interesting these timelines. I don't know about you guys but I'm actually quite curious as to how this came about and when she filmed her part. So much mystery about her role and Nicole her self these days. I'm quite intrigued by her even more so. I now anticipate her every move, more so... hahaha...
  15. Silly question, are those trucks used solely for the purpose of advertisement or are they actually used for something else? Do they just drive around the streets like that all day? I was thinking they were buses or delivery trucks, like multipurpose buses.
  16. This so proves their popularity, they're hardly promoting it but yet they are recording record sales. No tour, the same single being promoted since October, television appearances here and there, and look at the results. But I see that they don't have much competition as last time, could this mean that J-Pop companies are intimidated by the power of Kara as well?... hahaha...
  17. I posted this in Soompi: When the main instrument in which your career is based on is at risk why are you not taking professional advice and recovering it. I understand her commitment and wanting to please the audience because she doesn't want to let them down but when your health and the well being of your career is at risk you do whatever it takes to protect it. Wouldn't you rather take the rest and be in the best condition you can to perform to the best that you can rather than risk your health and struggle to give at best a mediocre show? Why isn't she thinking probably? And if she truly knows her fans then she should know that we rather see her healthy and well than watching her struggle and harm herself. I've always respected her as a great leader and still do, especially during their dispute, but this is truly a wrong choice in which she has made that will only affect her negatively in the end. I truly hope she makes the right and proper decision for herself and for the sake of her future career. GyuRi, we don't always need you to be all high and mighty and so "immortal", you're human like the rest of us, please take care of yourself.
  18. They killed the stage! One of the best, if not the best, MC stages I've seen in a long time. Very well executed. I really want to know what the male idols' reactions to this performance was, that is if they were watching from backstage, which I assume they would be.
  19. Yeah, what was this for? Only Hara and SeungYeon. Their outfits were like a combination of Mr., Lupin, and Jumping. Were they filming a cameo or CF? I thought it was for their Japanese PV or something. I really like SeungYeon's hair here.
  20. The version of Missing that we've all been listening to online is actually not the full version guys, it's actually only the last half of the song. The full song is actually five minutes long.
  21. Quite impressive of DSP. It seems to me that DSP is trying harder and harder each day to hold on to their established artistes. This is a good move, it means the girls can home in on the art of acting. So this might actually mean the girls will be staying with DSP for quite a bit longer, it could also be DSP's way of holding on to them. I guess the whole controversy has been put all aside.
  22. Very excited! Especially with the year end shows coming up, so this means that the girls will probably attend SBS's year end gayo show and they might even get special treatment because Hara and Nicole are the MC's for their weekly show. That's how it usually works right?... hahaha... More special stages and performances... hahaha...
  23. I'm absolutely ecstatic to hear Nicole doing something permanent, as an MC of all things and on a weekly, regular program. Once again she's taking on a challenge for her, we all know when it comes to MCing you would never think of Nicole, but I love the fact she's challenging herself to improve herself. I'm sure Nicole will reveal many sides of her, especially since she has two people that she is comfortable and enjoy being around with by her side. Very excited! From what I watched from the fancams of the Sydney concert, Nicole was a better speaker than the translator/moderator of the show, that girl was terrible.
  24. Thank you Redresonance for voicing what I, and I assume many others, were feeling with all these comments regarding Kara's rankings. I was getting quite annoyed with everyone caring so much about where they stand in the ranks. But we need to remember that Kara is no longer just a K-Pop group promoting in Japan, they, in my eyes, have become a J-Pop group that competes with the "big wigs" of the J-Pop industry. Ranking first amongst mediocre acts means nothing. Kara has consistently proven their popularity through each and every one of their singles, debuting in the top ten, if not top five, the weeks of their releases. They were up against major J-Pop groups and their sales still ranked high. I rather compare sales numbers than rankings. To be the best you have to beat the best. Just the fact that you're willing to face against the best and still come out on top, already means a world of recognition. And to quote Redresonance, "High expectations leads to greater disappointment." There's nothing wrong with having high expectations of the girls, but know that we support them for many other reasons than their sales numbers or rank. We've followed them for far too long to just think about the numbers.
  25. Seriously, Nicole's being really selective these days as to what she wants to get involved in. I really do hope that there's something big and major that she has planned for us fans. Being Nicole biased, it's getting really hard to see the other members doing different solo projects and her in limbo.
