  1. This is what I've been saying. If DSP is so bad, why don't they want to leave? It makes no sense to me how people can even say that. Sure, DSP isn't the best company in the world, but what company is? Why would you resign to a company who hasn't done anything for you? DSP has done a lot for KARA and it's obvious that gyulhamhara realize this. Like you said, Hara especially doesn't need DSP. She just needs a manager and at this point, anyone would do given her massive popularity. If they feel like one of their friends is being treated unfairly why would they stay when they know it can also happen to them? I think it's harsh that DSP is basically telling Nicole to "go kick rocks' but that's business.
  2. I feel like Hara secretly owns 1st Look ahahaha. She's on lik every other cover! Either the heads at 1st Look LOVE are serious Hara biases OR she sells so well, they keep asking her back. I really like all the edits BTW. Good job you guys.
  3. Woah, gyul looks like some serious business CEO here. Like one of those rich Korean business ladies. Can't say it's my fave look of hers but she still looks really nice.
  4. She's seriously going to set a record in Korea for most covers/editorials in one year LOL. Especially for First Look. I feel like every other volume/issue from that magazine is either Hara editorial or Hara cover. I guess she really is the "girl of the year" it's weird because it's not like she's been THAT active in Korea. She's just really, really popular there for being Hara I guess, which is OK for me. I'm glad to see the girls getting more recognition.
  5. Ohhh that's a good question...did you try a google image search? This is when gyul looks her best. Simple and Chic. Shows off her gorgeousness.
  6. Well first it's genetics. She has a ribcage that goes "inward" which creates a small waist. She maintains her curves by the type of exercise she does and the food she eats. She does some light weight training if I recall correctly, which can widen your shoulders a bit, she also does lower body work with weights too which helps to beef up the hip area which, in turn, helps to enhance the appearance of her tiny waist. For most girls, some light weight training will give them a more curvy body but most girls fear "bulking up" and stick to cardio and high intensity ab workouts which can give you a more "boxy" torso. If you want a more curvy body, something like Yoga and some light weight training would help. Along with foods that build healthy fat.
  7. I remember Mister topped the poll as the national song of Korea once before on some program. People tried to act like it wasn't a big deal because it was KARA and Mr. didn't win X weeks straight and KARA struggles to get Triple-crowns and you know...the usual KARA slander but it's obvious that in the end, KARA does something right. This is what us older fans mean when we say it's not always about the weekly awards. It's the stuff like this that is more important. Songs still earning them money years later. That's great for KARA.
  8. Really love the FK individual cover, the other covers are so dull though. I wish they would spend a bit more on the album artwork instead of the $100 adobe paint/photoshop software they've been using since forever. Like, why not have all the girls making kissy-faces or something? IDK, something that relates to the title of the single. Like when AKb had the circus themed album cover.... Aish....idk which to buy...none of them really speaks to me, but I guess the one with the chains hanging has a bit more going for it?
  9. @red4summer YES! LOL, I don't like that one blue and black dress, it's just too formal compared to what Seungyeon has on. I think Gyuri has a mature image but not a mom one. She's got a different kind of appeal. She's sexy in a subtle way but I feel like lots of stylist don't know how to work with her look. They are so used to the "cute" idols with the typical cute idol face and Gyuri is so far from that it seems like they just think "she looks mature...MOM OUTFIT" and call it a day.
  10. Yes, but schools in New Jersey are normally considered to be some of the best schools in the united states. Most of the "Ivy feeder" schools comes from the east coast (New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and New York) along with schools in Texas and California. The fact is that some schools ARE better than others, no matter the school district. Tenafly is/was a very good school to go to in the US especially for Ivy-league prospects. And also, some schools DO require that you take some sort of exam if you live outside of the school district. Tenafly might not do that anymore, but they did previously. I'd say that Tenafly would be the level of a gagnam school. It's in a pretty wealthy area of NJ and the school gets a lot of funding. They also have tons of great programs. I don't know if Tenafly is still nationally ranked, but I do recall it being a very good school. Check the best high-schools list to see maybe it's on there. Going to those schols is a lot more than school district....trust me. So I think it's OK if they laud her achievement there. It's not the best school in US, but it's a pretty darn good one.
  11. Gyuri is so cute! I wish more people would acknowledge how cute she is ahaha. I wonder how she would react to being called cute instead of being praised for being gorgeous?! She photographs so well. Though I must say, I'm kind of annoyed at the mom-ish outfits I've seen them put her in for the MC with Seungyeon; I get that Gyuri has a mature vibe, but some of those hemlines are too long!
  12. Nicole shouldn't feel pressured to do anything. I feel like the petition will only make things worse for her because it's coming from the fans and no artist wants to let their fans down. If you're of the opinion that DSP is forcing hands...doesn't this play right into their plan then? Have the fans get all riled up and let US force her to stay? If she wants to leave, I'm going to let her. I'm not going to make her feel bad about her decision. She doesn't deserve that.
  13. ....but it seems like you don't really have...ideas. You just keep bolding and caps locking things like it makes your points more valid. I didn't say anyone needed to believe me, all I did was offer up an opinion based on my observations. You're the one who presented your "findings" as "facts" about the situation. First you claimed that DSP didn't know anything and that it was still on the table and so DSP is being sneaky...then you admit that Nicole isn't going to renew like DSP said she wasn't but it's still somehow all DSP being sneaky? DSP is still forcing her hands even though they are basically telling her it's OK with them if she leaves? I'm just asking what are these "other things" that she wants to do...what else besides going solo would she need a new agency for? If she wants MC jobs and variety shows just put it in the contract. You're the one acting like you work for DSP and know first hand how horrible it is when really you don't know. I'm just saying that most companies won't do something like this and the request is silly. I'm also saying that just because she wants to go solo with another agency doesn't mean that DSP is bad...if DSP was that bad, the girls wouldn't have dropped the initial lawsuit and they would all be leaving. Not to say they wont change their minds, but for now, all the malice you're spewing at them is unfounded. I really DO hope that was your last post... And also....If you can't take criticism, you shouldn't have responded to my post the first time; I'm not some little kid that can't think rationally and just because you bold words and type in all caps and post a bunch of links to things other people have written doesn't mean I'm going to just accept what you say, especially when what you say is riddled with more holes than swiss cheese. I like how you call getting called out "hate"...
  14. Ga-in did not leave NN to promote with LOEN, it was a cooperative agreement between companies for specific promotions and the girls collaborated knowingly for this far, far in advance so that the logistics could be worked out. NN just wanted media attention for creating a huge star. The promotions with BEG would help them to establish and entertainment presence because they didn't (and arguably still don't) have one. NN did not let her sign to LEON while also letting her be in BEG; that would be counterproductive because they would get NO money from their part in the collaboration and if they did, it would be a very small part. This is completely different from what Nicole is after (seemingly). Also, this was a short, term, thing. Like one or two promotions, nothing more. LEON is just a distributor for DSP, like they are for many companies.
  15. YO! How you been! Yeah, it's been a while since I've been on here cause you know...life and such. But I'm always a KARA fan. And you know how I like to make lengthy debate posts so here they are.....ahahaha. The thing is ....I'm not even trying to cause trouble as anyone who has been around here for a long time knows...I've been a KARA fan for a looonnnnggg time but it seems like my insinuating that she wants to go solo is a bad thing and everyone is acting like I'm the enemy. I feel like I learned from people like you to let the girls take responsibility for themselves but it seems like that's not how it's going down now this time. I just wanted to offer up a different perspective....this is what i get hahaha. And it's not like I don't want her to negotiate a contract, I just know this is not something 99.9% of companies are willing to do. And if the others DON'T leave with her, she's more than likely going to pursue a solo career. Why give up that dream when she's had it for so long? I don't know whats going to happen, I'm just offering up the perspective that it seems like she is ready to go solo.
  16. LOL ok...last reply...that's good for me. Tired of reading the incoherent jumble of words you post that you insist are facts. You don't want to see the point I'm trying to make so it's not even worth it. The problem is that I'm reading whats there and you're reading what you want to read. All the excuses you guys are making are laughable...like i actually laughed. Who needs a new agency to separate the personal life? Do you know how silly that sounds? You guys keep going back and fourth between personal life and "solo activities" because you don't know anything...her tweet didn't clear up anything. You would think that if it was about personal life, considering that she didn't have any activities, she had plenty of time for personal things... I don't see whats so bad about her wanting to go solo. She can't be an idol forever.
  17. Please, don't tell me what I need to do....I'll mind me and you mind you. I can read and speak Korean decently...I know that on the KARA biased forums there are speculations about DSP, but that's mainly them not wanting to face reality. There are other forums and boards where Nicole is being called silly for this demands because it's impossible and also people are saying she has a huge ego. I don't believe she does...I just think she wants to go solo...I SUPPORT that effort. She's been talking about being "Hyori" for YEARS now...The contracts are almost up and she isn't getting any younger. This is her chance! She basically wants to pursue her solo career but wants the cushion of Kara to fall back on. How is that a good arrangement and how is it fair to the other girls? Being treated like backup singers because they have to see whats going on in Nicole's schedule...no, that's not fair. I rather her just get a new agency and promote as the solo act she wants to promote as. I'm just asking the questions everyone else seems to be ignoring because it so easy to say this is all DSP's fault when this is obviously nothing to do with them and everything to do with her wanting to leave and do something else. She's been in KARA for SIX years...it's not wrong of her to want to do something else...establish her OWN identity. Grow as an individual? What do you think that means? There were rumors BEFORE this that Nicole was thinking about going solo; If you're korean and read the boards then you should remember this rumor...it was killed quickly but there is obviously a bit of truth to it. Why do you need a new agency to do variety shows and MC jobs? It's not like DSP didn't give her a ton of stuff to do before. You know what happened the LAST time they gave Nicole a packed schedule? She sued them...that's what happened. They gave her a chance and it seems she didn't like it. Why would any company risk being sued again? Especially if it's avoidable. The company gave her a solo song, let her perform it and had previously done a plethora of things for her. She had a variety show before too...its really silly of you guys to act like DSP has never done anything for her...they did a bunch. I read Aje's post, but again it seems like a lot of "Blame DSP" because it's convenient. I'm an adult...idk how old you guys are, but I let people take responsibilities for their actions. DSP basically told Nicole to "screw off" because that arrangement is not going to happen. It's not fair to the girls that stay and it's more work than it's worth. Why does DSP need to tie down Nicole? Makes no sense...they are basically telling her "we are fine with you leaving" she seems like she is the one that wants them to compromise but why should they do something like that? What smart company pays another company to rent it's artist for a group? DSP would have to pay for that and then, they don't even get to keep all the profits from KARA which means less money to spend on KARA...I don't see how ANYONE could think that's actually a good/viable option. Why should they split the profits of the group they created with another company? Please, someone explain how this is a viable/fair option. I don't get why everyone thinks DSP is so desperate to tie down their acts...they let all the others go willingly. They don't need a good picture painted of them. People are always going to want to be idols and people are still going to sign with DSP. That's just how it works. Nicole and Jiyoung leaving will hardly effect them getting a contract in Japan...you're essentially saying that Hara, Seungyeon and Gyuri are worthless there which, considering the fan popularity distribution, isn't true at all. It's not like Japanese groups don't disband and break up all the time. THSK is still going pretty strong and they loss Jaejoong and Yoochun, arguably the two most popular in Japan. DSP would still have Hara...who the japanese females still seem to love and Gyuri seems to be really popular there lately. Also, you guys are always saying you don't know, yet you always have this long list of things that DSP didn't do...How do you know DSP didn't offer her things and she just didn't take it? It's not a management issue. It's a personal one. If it was a management one, then everyone would be leaving and as it stands right now, only Nicole is. You mean to tell me that ONE year worth of solo activities despite all the other stuff DSP has done for her before is worth this? With no considerations for all the other stuff they gave her before? I don't believe it. If she just wanted more solo activities, simply put it in the clause for you contract. No need to get a new agency to go on more variety shows.
  18. No...you've kinda been making the same wild assumptions that somehow this is all DSP's fault...to which IDK how you can come to that conclusion. Sorry my assumptions don't shift blame to DSP because those are obviously the only assumptions that you support. Sorry if I actually am holding the girls responsible for their own actions... Please, tell me why, when you're already with an agency do you need a new/second agency to do solo activites? Hara, Seungyeon and Gyuri do solo stuff all the time, even jiyoung was doing solo things, Nicole has previously done solo stuff....Why would you need a whole new agency to appear on variety shows? DSP obviously can get them on variety shows...Hara and Gyuri have only been on 1231873182378927 of them....why would you need a new agency to get more MC jobs? DSP got her one before...they got one for seungyeon and they have had then for Gyuri and Hara too. DSP can do solo activities...they've been doing it. She obviously wants to be a solo ARTIST which is honestly really reasonable. They only slacked up because they were upset with her, but can you blame them?! They got sued for over-working and underpaying...I'm pretty sure they didn't want to take the risk with her again if they feared she would sue for being "overworked" and "under-compensated" again. You're seeing it how you want to see it when it's obvious what it really is. It's OK if she wants to go solo, I support her, that's what fans do. How are they both acting? How are they thinking twice? Thinking about school isn't a crime...if she wants to go to school, she can...not that big a deal, and again, she never said she would leave DSP to do that. Just take a break from the industry. Honestly Nicole has been the only one that has expressed great interest in leaving...without her mom's influence the other 3 seems like they have no problems with DSP. I'm saying you're being irrational because you're being way too emotional. And again, what is this magical company that is so much better?
  19. I feel like you are being really irrational...Nicole is thinking twice because she wants to go solo...that's basically it. Stop blinding yourself to the facts. Jiyoung is thinking twice because she wants to potentially go to school, but it's even been said that she wants to stay in the industry. No-one said she wanted to leave DSP. Nicole wanting to go solo is NOT DSP's fault. Seriously, think about all the issues with KARA till now, most of it comes from Nicole's end....not finger pointing or anything but her mom has been the source of most of the discord and doubt...and it really seems like she is playing everyone. She has every Kamilia doubting DSP's abilities now and wanting them to leave the company...but leave and go where? Why? What is this golden company that you think is so perfect that nothing bad happens or nothing goes wrong? She basically set the stage for a reason as to WHY Kara would break-up or disband a long time ago...it's just now being put into action. This whole DSP isn't good enough is BS in my opinion. This situation makes me MORE great-full that Gyuri and Hara stuck to their guns the first time and weren't pressured into leaving...it showed that the other two had really baseless grounds for leaving spurred on by Nicole's mom...imagine if KARA would've left DSP then...I don't think they'd be together even now... It seems like Nicole/her mom already have an idea of where Nicole will go... Nicole's mom isn't looking out for KARA, she is looking out for her daughter!! That's totally fine, but trying to make it a whole KARA wide thing is silly...Nicole wants to leave DSP to pursue a solo career. The others don't want to leave...or haven't expressed interest in leaving until it was brought up by Nicole's mom...seriously, think about that. And without her influence they are staying...Gyuri and Hara never had intentions to leave, they aren't going to stay in KARA forever so obviously, for now, they feel comfortable with DSP for the future...All you're seeing is one person who wants to leave NOT because of bad DSP management but because they want to pursue a solo career and your saying the whole company is terrible? Makes no sense to me. Seriously, support Nicole in her decision! It's going to be hard for her to go solo....most reactions outside of KARA biased forums are NOT in her favor...lots of people are thinking she has a huge ego and are saying they feel confident that Hara, Seungyeon and Gyuri can carry KARA without those two...it's going to be HARD for Nicole so she needs us to support her solo effort...not to keep nagging about how we wish she was still in KARA.
  20. Yeah, I think lots of Kamilia are being really delusional....I don't mean to be harsh, but that's just how it is. Lots of outsiders are seeing this for what it really is....I've been to other kpop forums/blogs and they don't really have this "DSP is at fault" "Kara should leave DSP" attitude that is being spread on most KARA boards. Free agency is basically impossible. No company is going to pay a fee to another company to allow you to promote as a member of the other companies group.... Basically Nicole wants to go solo. DSP was RIGHT in that she didn't want to renew her contract so those saying DSP was being sneaky...this is what I mean by it being business. They aren't trying to 'force" her into anything...they just want people to know that it was HER decision to leave. It's honestly fine that she wants to go solo, but for me...just say that. Don't beat around the bush and try to play both sides of the field. She and DSP haven't been on good terms since the first incident so it makes sense that this would happen. I don't see why people want KARA to leave DSP...I think the sense the other companies are so much better is really delusional. All artist struggle with getting funding and promotion, not just KARA and not just because of DSP. KARA has to sell themselves too...DSP has done a bunch for them. And again, Gyuri, Seungyeon and Hara have NO reason to leave so why would they? Why would they leave DSP for KARA when Nicole really doesn't even want to be in KARA anymore? How can you persue a solo career and still be in a group. Here in America we had a group like that...Destiny's Child...see how that worked out? I can't work....it's impossible this request from Nicole. I dont think DSP is holding Jiyoung "hostage" either...honesty we need to keep thinking rationally...don't let emotions blind you to the facts...
  21. I feel like she's setting a record for most High Cut covers/editorials for one person...she gets a lot of editorials/covers in general. It's a good sign for Hara, means that she gets magazines sold quickly
  22. Sadly....I'm not surprised about this. Considering that Nicole sort of has her own life, separate from the other KARA members, with her own friends, it's not impossible to assume that it would be easier for her to decide that she doesn't really see herself as a KARA member anymore. It seems like she has been distancing herself for a while now. There was still TONS of tension between DSP and Nicole/Nicole's mom after the first incident so it was just a matter of time from my perspective. Also, while other members were making progress in the solo aspects of their careers, Nicole was sort of regressing because she was so stagnate. Aside from the whole "popular idol" talk, no one was really talking about her, which, as a celebrity is never a good thing. She had no solo activities and was put on the back burner at most group activites as well. Now, it's easy to say that this is all DSP's fault, but I guess they were still bitter about the issues that they felt she/her mom caused for KARA. While it seemed like DSP was trying to make things up to Jiyoung, they sort of punished Nicole. I can't really say I disagree or agree with them, it was a difficult time for them, but at the same time, it seems they didn't look at the future problems that would arise from letting anger/bitterness and mistrust bias their decisions for the Nicole. I think in DSP's mind, Nicole sort of tampered with their products. Seungyeon was and still is VERY secure in her position at DSP so it makes sense that she would stay. She didn't have reason to leave the first time and yet, she was threatening to leave them, Jiyoung was and is young and impressionable, for DSP, it's easy to paint the free-spirited and "outsider" Nicole as the reason for all the problems they faced. It really seems like DSP never forgave her. It makes me wonder how sad they are about her leaving...From a business standpoint, because she didn't have many solo request/activities she wasn't really making them any money. Not like Hara, Gyuri and Seungyeon who are constantly bringing in money for DSP. Even Jiyoung was probably bringing in more money, so I think that might be another reason that DSP didn't fight that hard for Nicole. But if her mind was set, what can they really do? I'm not sure about Jiyoung...I guess my advice to her would be to really think about it. Of the KARA members Jiyoung's age gives her a huge advantage in that she can still accomplish A LOT. If she goes to school I really hope she goes to school. If she signs with another agency, it will be sort of deceptive on her part. I think Jiyoung should stay in KARA because she has made a lot of leeway from previously being the "least popular" member that no-one knew about into a relatively popular household name. The increase in editorials for her is proof of that. If Jiyoung decides to leave, it will be interesting to see what she does from there. She isn't like Hara or Seungyeon or Gyuri who seem to have a lot of staying power so if she leaves the entertainment business now, it will definitely be more difficult for her to return and try to make a solo name for herself. I think her education is important but I also know that jiyoung grew up in the entertainment industry and it's the life she is used to. Most stars say they want to try out regular life and when they do, they hate it. No more perks, and no more free clothes/food/shoes/bags/vacations. Jiyoung grew up being adored by the Korean public, she might miss it when she doesn't have it anymore. it's hard for child stars to deal with fame after it's gone. I'm gonna miss Nicole a lot if she really decides to leave. It will be interesting to see where she goes from here. Will she sign with a new agency or just do something different altogether? I hope that from now until January the other members can convince her to stay, it's going to be awkward for all of them while having to work together knowing that certain members are leaving or thinking about leaving. I don't think the contract decisions are personal in regards to each other. They are more about what each girl feels DSP can do for them. While Seungyeon, Hara and Gyuri are thriving under DSP...Nicole is obviously not seeing anything worth hanging around for.
  23. hmmm. So it seems like this is where all the views were going. Imagine if all those people who watched on YYT watched on youtube. The views would've gone up faster. Also, there is the fact that youtube is being more strict about what counts as a "view" so I think most groups will be getting slower viewing rates. But it seems like, 2m worth of views happened on YYT and so thats why the YT views were lower. I guess chinese fans have their own plans for how they want to support KARA. I don't really care about YT views, but I think for anyone worrying about why they were low, here is the answer.
  24. Love Hara with this hair color!! it matches her perfectly. I like this color, the brown in the teaser and black for her the most. She really looks pretty and mature and glamorous all at the same time. I think they are dating ahaaha. They shouldn't feel afraid of fans.
  25. Jing looks so pretty here (as usual LOL) I wanna see long haired Jing again without the bangs. I think she doesn't need them because she has a nice forehead. I know HARA looks better without bangs and I think Jiyoung does too. She's so pretty/cute. Her skin looks flawless here. I hope Jing can do more of these editorials. I think she and Hara are masters at editorial modeling. Some of the best I've seen from ANY idol.
